I visited the IHOP on ala moana Blvd on 6÷20÷16 at approximately 9am, our servers nam Roz. She was amazing!!! The food was good, but no doubt the service is why I will return to this establishment again. My wife is super picky, Roz went out of her way to insure that her order was perfect, even though it wasn’t something found on the menus. She made sure both my children were entertained the whole time we were there. She joked with both the children and was quite the personality… I think josh(my 10 year old) might have had a crush on her! To me, IHOP is just a breakfast place, but both my children can’t stop talking about going back. I know why josh wants to go, haha but Britney(my 4yr old) wont stop talking about«auntie Roz» and the fact that she«gived me a flower for my hair» Thank you IHOP for good food, and most of all thank u Roz for going above and beyond with exceptional service for me n my family. We will be back to see u soon!

Roz was Aw“z“some. She was a psychic server and had napkins, straws, condiments, creamer and everything we wanted before we could request it. She was witty, respectful, and filled with Aloha. I honestly cannot say enough about how well she treated us. Roz is what makes this city beautiful and we appreciate iHop for sharing her with the community.

You know what to expect when you come to IHOP, but this location has that and a touch of Hawaiian uniqueness. They offer an array of pancake dishes unique to the flavor you can find only in the island. You get seated fairly quickly, even with a large party as I had(7). The parking is pretty bad, as you have to drive up 3 floors in a parking garage barely wide enough for a bicycle and you can see where many people have scratched against the walls of the hairpin turns. I’d advise walking if you are visiting and have a rental car you don’t want to damage.

What I like: 1) Good food, especially the burgers. I heard they now use the USDA selected beef; you can actually taste the angus style beef in their burgers. Their soups are pretty good too. 2) Reasonable price. Especially to student like myself, fine dining at IHOP still good & affordable for us, & still get to experience taste of an actual restaurant(instead of the fast food ones) 3) Large clean environment. I’m from the Mainland & I have to say this IHOP looks nicer than the ones I normally go to in the Mainland. It’s large, it’s neat, & it’s quiet. Plus, the workers over at this IHOP are friendly too & helpful. I have good service as well. Only minor problem is finding parking. I know Downtown Waikiki can be a very cramp place, & parking would be difficult to find. I do recommend this IHOP restaurant to put a large sign in their front area(at Ala Moana St.) to notify drivers where is good place to park. I also believe many drivers will end up accidentally park at the Ramada Inn nextdoor to your restaurant. Would be nice if you guys & validate parking tickets as well. Overall, best IHOP I been through in ages. Definitely better than Mainland IHOP. 4⁄5 stars from me. Congratulations IHOP of Ala Moana.

Sunny side eggs were too runny and I couldn’t eat them. Hash tasted like frozen grated potatoes. Sad, we were looking forward to it, too.

Waited over 40 minutes for our order(party of 4). My sister’s booth had roaches on the wall. They changed seats but I never saw anyone clean around the area, just sat the next group right down 5 min later. Wailana next door is way better.

Ordered a to-go meal. Waited Half an Hour and finally I asked about my food. The Manager goes to check comes back and says«Oh, they’re just now telling me we don’t have that»…AFTER waiting 30 min and only AFTER I asked her to go check. Definitely won’t be going back

Great staff… From host to our wonderful server, they all were happy to serve me and my family! The wait for our food was a bit long, but it was worth the wait. I love their strawberry banana french toast. I highly recommend it :)

First time here and it was awesome! Our server Carly M. Was super sweet and knowledgable. We ordered two omelettes and red velvet pancakes which instead of me paying full price for a full stack, she informed us that with our omelette I could just pay $ 1-$ 2 on top of my omelette and get a short stack of pancakes instead. Which was totally better cuz we wouldn’t have finished that full stack. She checked on us 3 times after we got our food. Which is very good service considering us only being there for less than 1 hour. We will most definitely be coming here again. There was no wait. Food came out fast. Everything was delicious!

We are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. IHOP is a short walk. Breakfast is great. Love the coffee. Quick, friendly service. Great menu selection. If you come around 11 a.m. there’s no wait. Great prices for the area. I think we’ll have breakfast here all week.

I’ve only eaten breakfast here. We were staying in Waikiki and walked down here because something in me when I woke up that day said I needed pancakes in massive quantities in my mouth. Right now. We had excellent service from Laura(Lauren? Sorry, I can’t remember which one!) HOWEVER, the front desk was definitely a mess. We walked in and the guys(Daniel?) didn’t really seem to know what to do next. He took down our name(we were the only ones at the counter) and then went and looked around the half empty restaurant and then came back and nervously took us to our table. Sooo… that was«different.» Other than that, food was quick, service was fantastic, and my new york cheesecake pancakes were da bomb. It’s a chain and whatever, but a chain that satisfies my need for pancakes. Job well done ;-)

Five people working at the counter and they still didn’t know what they were doing. Go to Wailana Coffee House.

We had good server in Cal. He was on top of it all. The Double-Dipped French Toast was alright. Smokehouse Combo was fair. So what I didn’t like was the fact I couldn’t pay at the counter. I had to pay my server who at the time was busy tending to other customers. I had to wait for Cal to finish his duties. Well what if I were in a rush, then what? This is where a counter cashier can ease that, but instead had to wait about 20 minutes before I could complete my transaction. iHop work on this. Not a fan! To Cal’s defense, you had to do you Bruddah! Thanks! Not a hit on you, but to your employer to make this process much better! Mahalo!

The worst IHOP I have ever been to! First, we sat for 10 minutes at our table before anyone came to check on us and then it was the manager! The manager took our drink and food order, brought our food out to us. I ordered a BLT and it was so thin and pathetic, I peeled the soggy bread apart and put the limp ingredients to one side. THAT finally made a decent ½ of a sandwich! I took 2 bites and realize that I’m going to throw up if I take one more bite. I was done. Never saw a waiter/waitress the whole time we were there. Save yourself salmonella poisoning and walk quickly past this disaster!

A welcome sign after trying to support local businesses. An omelet, hash browns, bacon & sausage and 3 banana pancakes w/coffee for under $ 15. Most places have deals but after adding(+1)eggs, bacon & sausage with coffee the price goes up with a quickness.($ 20 plus for 1 person) IHOP had my food out in under 6 minutes not 20 min. like the diner next door. iHOP has mainland food at mainland prices.

A change is coming, we were given a preview of the new standards of food and service that the rest of the IHop’s around the island will soon be implementing. After my review of the Aiea location which is available on my profile here on Unilocal!we were contacted by the IHop overseer of Hawaii locations, he’s new to the desk and our review made an impact. We were invited to witness the change during Kawaii Kon and accepted the invite. I ordered the exact same meal that had failed me in Aiea and I was blown away by the difference on the plate, everything was fresh. You could taste it. And to top it off we were given soft, buttery homemade biscuits rather than the frozen reheated ones from Aiea. I advise anyone who has given IHop’s around the island bad reviews to go and try again in a few months when changes have been around for a while/when they get to your local store, reevaluate them and give them new and honest reviews. If you really want to make a change then do what we did and submit an email to their corporate site, they do listen to the people that eat in their restaurants.

Surprisingly, I loved this location. I was craving breakfast around 3pm, an hour after most/all breakfast places have ended service for the day. IHOP seemed like a good, if mediocre, choice. I was happy my expectations were low. The day and time we went, there was only one server on, but the hostess was friendly and helped get our drinks. The staff was no-nonsense, just quick and accurate service. I had the south west omelette, which had hash browns, peppers, onions, and steak all inside. Minus a little gristle, it was delicious! I was happy to have the option of fresh fruit on the side, which was actually fresh and sweet. My dining companion had the senior breakfast special; all of which was cooked well and delicious. We enjoyed sharing the pancakes. The restaurant itself is very cozy, with soft carpet and nice lighting. It was clean and quiet as well. This is also a convenient location, right on Ala Moana. Quality of food is better than that of Wailana next door and relatively cheap. Great for families starting a busy day of tourism or locals looking for a cheap place to walk to.

To be honest, I only really come here on a National Pancake Day. So this review is based on that! This IHOP is kinda of weirdly located in Waikiki… sort of. It shares the building/parking/bathroom with a hotel, which can be nice considering it actually has parking and nice hotel bathrooms! We came in and there was a 10 minute wait, which was expected considering the free pancakes. We got seated and it took awhile for waiter to come around and take our order. We had a four year old with us and she was having none of that, but still, it was busy. When he finally came around, he was super nice and got us going with our orders. We all got pancakes but I didn’t realize how much the other food was — $ 9 for a kid’s grilled cheese and fruit?! Yikes. He brought our drinks fast, and I did appreciate that he left me the entire coffee-thermos-thing so I could refill it myself. I love me some coffee. Our food proceeded to take foreveeeeer and a day. I was starving by the time it came. Again, can’t complain too much because ***free*** but still. My boyfriend’s mozzarella sticks(I told him not to order mozzarella sticks at an IHOP but I digress) came and apparently they were out of marinara sauce… which kind of defeats the purpose of mozzarella sticks if you ask me. Despite all this, the pancakes were good, the coffee was good. The mozzarella sticks were meh and the grilled cheese didn’t look amazing, but all in all it wasn’t a bad meal. Our waiter was super friendly and nice but he seemed to be working way too many tables alone. Then we got our check and for mozzarella sticks, kids grilled cheese, coffee, and orange juice — $ 17. Again, a bit much, but at least we got our pancakes! This place definitely is not the worse, and as far as IHOPs go, it’s a decent location with friendly staff. But if you’re looking for breakfast food, there are a lot of better places around. Keep looking!

Ended up here since all the local brunch places were packed with people, and we did want to spend our precious vacation time waiting lol. Average IHOP, but they’ve got a «local“menu such as loco moco and other things you probably won’t find in IHOPs on mainland. But like other IHOPs, you always get a discounted version of what’s on the menu… I was really disappointed since they did not use fresh strawberry on my strawberry and banana french toast :( Go the the nearby local places if you’ve got time.
