We found this vendor at the Honolulu Farmer’s Market at Ward Avenue, open from 4 — 7 on Wednesday nights. Their display of fish looked good so we decided to try it: Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi — 4 stars — The mahi and everything else was fresh, but the serving was a bit small for $ 10.50. What brings this plate to a 4 star is their fresh fish and sweet potato salad that tasted like it had a tinge of coconut added that I have never seen or tasted before. Staff was really nice and service was fast.

KCC farmers market is now on tuesday night(4 – 7) as well as sat mornings! YAY! I dont have to wake up at the crack of dawn, nor fight my way through the throngs of japanese tourists. I stopped by Hui in the Pot towards the end of the market, and they had run out of rice. My friend and I got a fried Opah plate, which was $ 8(discounted because there was no rice). It was served on a bed of salad and a side of yummy purple sweet potato mash. The Opah was definitely one of the highlights of the market for me.
