— Went here with my boyfriend, my brother and his girlfriend on a Friday night. There are separate sections for ones who want to do the ALLYOUCANEATMEAT and another one for people who order plate items off the menu. — My boyfriend and my brother wanted the all you can eat meat of course, but since I don’t really like meat, I wanted to get a regular plate. The lady was nice enough to let us sit together on the all you can eat side! That was AWESOME customer service because it would have been such a pain to figure out what side to eat on. — The ALLYOUCANEAT course was well worth it. I wanna say it was $ 25.99 plus tax and tip(tip they add on automatically 15%). I don’t remember all the types of meat that they ordered but they were are quality meats with nice seasoning. My boyfriend and brother enjoyed that route. If you like meat, I would DEFINITELY suggest this option! — Service was great, they always made sure we had water, gave us extra bowls. Refilled our rice and sides. — I would go back again and hopefully am able to sit on the same side as the all you can eat side even if I don’t order that option.

Pretty good price(esp in Honolulu) for all you can eat Korean bbq. It’s crowded but the food is quite delicious!

Let’s see, since Im here atlas once a week it only means that I must love this place. Located in Kalihi near the Kalihi-Palama Post Office and in the same center at Diner’s this small Korean place packs a punch. I always say, the food must be good if its crowded and you see people of that origin in a place eating. I would have to say that every time Ive gone, there is sos many Koreans in there and some local people. I have come to like many dishes here: Spicy Pork — This is one of my favorites. At $ 10, you get a lot more than other places. Depending on how«spicy» you want it, they can make it. The pork is cooked really well and its not tough. Even though they give you a knife, you really don’t need it. Yuk He Jung — The«Spicy» Soup. Im not sure if I should be saying this but the redness does stain the bowl that they give you when you do take out. This does give you a little hint at how red this soup can be. This soup is perfect for those days when you feel like a cold is coming on. It will clear the sinus, the just open everything up. Yuk Hei — Seasoned raw beef. Not for everyone as it is raw but on the frozen side. Eat this with the cucumbers or apples and you will be in love. Yes it sounds gross but so delicious. Lunch Bento — For $ 8 you can get an assortment of many of there favorite dishes. Chicken, Mandoo, Beef and all the vegetables. This place is also known for there all you can eat Yakiniku. I haven’t tried it yet but it gets crowded during the lunch and dinner times. I can’t confirm if they give you a time limit or to what extent they allow the all you can eat, but based on what I’ve already tried, one of these days I will need to get there. I can’t give it the max stars as the inside of the places does feel old. Im sure with all the cooking that goes on at table side, the grease is what stains the walls and the floors. If you are in the area, I would suggest stopping in there. They make everything made to order and the turn around time is relatively fast.

Walked into this restaurant on a Saturday around 5:30 pm, the place was empty. I wanted to try this Korean yakiniku place again. The first time i had the all you can eat yakiniku was when this place first opened. The quality of the meats has diminished greatly. Now they cut the meat size into thin strips and they serve it to you all mixed up on the same plate, so you dont know which meat you are cooking. My over all opinion of this restaurant is, it is barely acceptable, one more thing, they add the tip onto your bill as a charge. That is the last time I eat there.

Mmmmmm! Natto stew! For all the natto lovers out there, Han Yang serves a savory natto stew with clams, kim chee, shiitake mushrooms, and tofu. You choose the strength of the spiciness and I have it on good authority that it’s good. It comes out boiling in a stone pot. And it’s delicious with rice mixed in. Also delicious are the kim chee pancakes with sauce. The accompanying dishes of kim chee, bean curd, potato, kim chee cucumber, etc. are all delicious as well. My significant other is the quintessential carnivore, so opted for the bbq chicken/kalbi plate, which came with seaweed soup. Onolicious! Woo hoo!

Bring one of your Korean friends with you if you want to receive any semblance of customer service. The waitresses will openly talk about your Chinese looking friends which your Korean friends will get a kick out of. Not to try to justify their blatant racism, but they don’t do it out of malice plus they’re not going to change so it’s just something you’ll have to get over. The meat selection is pretty extensive, and the quality of the meat is way higher than Shit-dorak. The banchan are pretty good too, especially the potatoes. This is one of only two places I know that makes the extra effort to make tiny foil cups to grill the garlic in, resulting in absolutely crispy and delicious deep fried goodness. One negative, the waitress will automatically add tip to the bill, so don’t take the price posted on the sign as how much you think you’re going to end up paying. Taking into account the fact that you get a huge hunk of beef fat to oil the grill and can pig out on as much meat as you want though, this is something I’m sure most people are willing to overlook.

We’ve been here several times already for the AYCE yakiniku dinner special for about $ 23 a head. Not too bad if you’re a meat lover as they offer about 15 types of different meats. It really is a hole in the wall place in the heart of Kalihi by the post office. Parking is limited as it shares among other restaurants and stores in the area. Anytime before 6pm, you can usually score good parking. This is our go to spot for yakiniku dinners since it’s near where we live and we usually get seated quick compared to other similar places where I’ve experienced more than an hour wait. We always get seated right away here. Service here is mediocre. Not the greatest since language barriers always makes it difficult to get what you want in a quicker manner. Expect no warm greetings here or friendly service. The quality food and price is the only thing that keeps us from coming back here.

Never ever will i come back to this place period, you are better off going sikdorak or the best place i went shillawon. when i came in with 3 other guys at 745 pm an we all order’d the all you can eat, took forever to get or veggies an rice, but the kicker for me that made me give a 1 star is after our 1st plate of meat was done i called the lady over to order some more meat, instead when she came over she bought the check with or total, we looked at her like ”WTF”, i said oh i want to order more meat she then gave us the stink eye look an said ohhh more meat, as if 4 grown guys are going to get full off of 1 plate of meat, so then she goes back an tells the man to cut some more, he then looked at us in almost the same manner like she did, that was it for me im not going to a place an drop good money down for whats advertised only to feel like they want you out

This place is about what you would expect of a Korean run yakiniku place. I’ve been here twice, and both times to take advantage of their AYCE deal at $ 22.99 + tax and 15% autograt. Each time I also ordered their chige(they call it stew, it’s more like a soup with all the fixings). Because this is standard and they met expectations, you would think they deserve a 3. But, I’m pretty sure this place loses money on their meats. Not every cut is the greatest but some really are. And they give a decent amount, and I heard they allow you 2 hrs to dine but other than a Chinese 9-course or fancy French(think Mavro) that forces your dining experience to extend past the 2-hr mark, our large group of 19 were pretty much done at the hour mark. Their bottomless meat offerings consisted of 1 chicken, 2 porks, and 10 various meat cuts(I believe they recently discontinued beef intestine/chitterlings). What prevents me from giving them 5 stars are the following: $ 5 a head is charged for consuming alcohol, something I was not informed of anywhere on the menu, restaurant wall, or by any server. That’s a bit much, as most restaurants charge $ 5 – 25 per bottle fee, and byob places welcome you to brung your own to enhance the dining experience! For the type of establishment it is, we should not have been charged at all. Perhaps I’m being narrow-minded and they offer alcohol, but I was not served an alcohol menu either visit so wouldn’t have known that. Secondly, Korean service. For what it is, it was actually pretty good lol. My experiences at Sorabol and my usual Yakiniku Seoul were better, but they were pretty cordial about it. But it’s still a 4. Ambiance and vent filtration? My dad kept saying that they could stand to spend some on better fans to keep the smoke/odor down, but I kept telling him it’s kalihi and it’s all you can eat, catered to the average diner. Their 15% autograt policy is completely understandable and more than fair, but had they not charged me $ 75 for each guy drinking $ 1 beers they would have gotten the 20% from me.

Me and my homies try different AYCE Korean on our bdays. Han Yang was the spot this time and it didn’t disappoint! 14 different meat including the good stuff like brisket, mountain tripe, kal beeee, and of course my favorite the tongue of the bull. I mention there cause at some places they charge a bit more for certain meat selections. Anywho, the price is $ 22.95 per. The only thing is… You gotta buy the lettuce as a side. I feel it should be automatic but I guess they gotta make the money somehow after feeding 5 fat Koreans.

Tonight my friends and I found a dead fly in our brisket plate. No one took the initiative to reduce our bill. The owner eventually discounted one person’s meal. The price of the food is great. up to the fly incident. It’s a hole in the wall place that has been around for some time, but the service has gone down hill since the last time I ate here.

This place is not all that great but not that bad either. Nothing to brag about or celebrate for. It’s good if you just want to eat Korean AYCE and not wait in line to be seated. Convenient, fast and easy to get a table/seat here! They have a great selection of meats to choose from — beef tongue, kalbi, chicken, pork belly, etc. However, the sides could be better. On the plus side, you can do BYOB. But, you’ll just have to pay a cork fee per person. It was a bit hard to spot in the beginning because it’s hidden behind a few hole in the wall spots and the bars, right in the heart of Kalihi. When finding parking, I got lucky a few times. But it does get busy at times, I guess there are more people parking there for the bars and other eateries.

How the heck did I not find this place! I would have to say that this place rivals my favorite place, Sikdorak. I hate saying that because I wrote a ROTD about Sikdorak. This place is as «Hole-in-the-Wall» as you can get. Its in the middle of no where in Kalihi. Surrounded by other famous hole in the wall places like Old Saimin House and Kikuya. I am shocked i just heard about this place just now. We walked in and the owner pointed to where we our seats would be. We immediately went to work. Pork Belly, Kalbi, Tenderloin, etc. I must say that the quality of might be a lttle better than other yakiniky places, including Sikdorak. Pork Belly was ok, a little on the small side and chewy. The tenderloin was really good. Soft and fatty, just they way I like it. The Tougue was was thicker and bigger than Sikdorak and in some ways, more tasty. I was just really impressed with the meats and food here. My knock on this place was the service. It took a while to get acknowledged to get our orders in. We had to wave them down to get their attention. We were worried because we were with my cousin who needed to fly back to Kauai that night. Also I think they include tip in the bill but I didn’t catch it until I left. Maybe I was wrong but if you go, check for it. Overall I really like this place and hope to get back sooner than later. Highly recommended.

If you are craving all you can eat meat or Yaki Niku…22nd do not want to drive all the way into town to eat at Sikdorak. Han Yang is a place to go. Not a fancy place to eat at but there is no long line to wait for and who cares for the atmosphere if all you want is meat! For only $ 22.99 you get to eat all you can eat yaki niku. They have meats from beef tongue, kalbi, pork belly, tenderloin… etc. They also serve the side vegetable dishes such as Kim chee, bean sprouts… etc. They serve two sauces you can dip your meat into, a Korean shoyu based sauce and a salt and oil one. Depending on what you eat… I like the salt and oil one the best. So if you are craving all you can eat meat and do not want to stand in a long line like other places. Han Yang is the place to go.

This place gets a solid 4 stars. The food here is so fresh. It’s yakiniku, so you get to grill your own meats. All the meats that we ordered came out blood red, nothing brownish in color. It’s a good deal for all you can eat at $ 22.99. I came here with Nadine, Cathy, and Gary. We decided on kalbi, salted short ribs, salted kobe meat, bbq beef, bbq chicken, and pork belly. Everything that we had was good and flavorful. We especially liked the kalbi and pork belly. If you grill the pork belly long enough, it turns to bacon. The banchan was also excellent. I loved the salad and the dressing it came with. They choy sum and kim chee were also good. The kim chee wasn’t too spicy and seasoned just right. I’m not a macaroni salad person but theirs was pretty good. I actually ate half a bowl. The restaurant itself needs a major makeover. It just looked dingy and not very up to date. If you’re looking for a nice place to dine, this isn’t the place for you. However, if you don’t care about the ambience and just want to eat good food, I would highly recommend this place.

Korean food in kalihi… wait what! Yes, that’s right there is a whole in a wall korean place located in kalihi area. You have to come at the right time because parking here is very limited. This place shares a parking lot with other small mom and pop stores. This is a go to spot for us whenever we want an all you can eat yakiniku. For about $ 22, which includes gratuity, you can get many different choices of meat. Theres kalibi, chicken, pork belly(our favorite), tripe, and much more. Beside the meat they give you panchan(side dishes) which is also unlimited. You can also ask for korean miso and garlic for your meats. Rice and soup is also included. Another plus about this place is its B.Y.O.B. Don’t have alcohol, well don’t worry about that they also sell soju with different flavors and beer.

This is a great korean restaurant. There isn’t much in terms of ambiance; the fluorescent lighting and laminate floors leave much to be desired. However, their food is good and very affordable! They have two sections of the reataurant, the AYCE side and the regular menu side. Although the AYCE was tempting and I was hungry, we saw the very reasonable prices for dinner entrees and opted for ordering off the menu. It was a good thing, as we left full and with leftovers. Most of the entrees are $ 10. Super affordable! And they come out of these cool sizzling platters, with rice and banchan. They also offer combinations of you can’t decide between two favorites. I was able to try the spicy pork(super flavorful and delicious), the meat jun(also very good) and the kalbi(good! But all I can think about is that spicy pork!!). The meats come on a bed of grilled onions too! We also got the vegetable spicy tofu soup which was really garlicky and noms. Everything tasted so good! Even the ban chan was good! They didn’t have a lot of variety of banchan, but you can get refills of what you like. The location is a little sketchy, but I’m sure I’ll be back, even just to pick up lunch. I will have to try the AYCE too! Can’t wait!

This place is a hole-in-the-wall kind of feel, located next to the postal office and Richie’s diner. Parking is always limited here, but despite the parking and shady location, the food here is really good! The Yakiniku is buffet style and there’s about 12 different meat choices, which are all accompanied by sides dishes. Such as, Kimchee, bean sprouts, spinach, and mixed veggies. For dinner prices the buffet is $ 22ish per person and I think lunch is a bit cheaper. They also have entrees and sides you can buy separately if buffets aren’t your thing. The entrée foods are decent, but I would suggest only coming here for the buffet. That’s worth the money! The one star deduction is due to service. The aunties there are not very attentive and it takes a lot of hand raising and excuses mes to get their attention. Despite the below par service I think I will be coming back because the buffet was good and cheap! A great place for groups on a budget! Also, last time I went it was for a friend’s bday and our group was pretty loud(as usual), but the restaurant didn’t seem to mind us or try to shoo us away. Haha! So yes, we’ll be back soon~
