My husband and I just ate here for the first time! He had the kalbi frys and I had the ahi katsu and they were both amazing! I would def recommend this truck to anyone!

I love love love their kalbi fries … such a large portion and can be filling for two. It’s best when it is hot. I am not sure what sauce they put on there but that is the KEY to this dish. The owner is super nice. I hope he doesn’t think I am a stalker cuz I swear I am visiting his truck weekly. I think I will try the Ahi Katsu next time because the posted reviews seems quite positive … hmmmmm maybe next week … yikes!!!

I enjoyed their fish tacos with fries. The fish was light, fresh and delicious, and covered with a tangy, sweet sauce that had a little kick to it. The fries were drizzled in a mayo sauce with nori. Also super delicious. I would definitely order this again. I want to come back and try their other stuff.

Ooommgg! Best Ahi Katsu I’ve ever tasted!!! This place is soooo yummy and you definitely get your money’s worth! Plates are around $ 10 – 12 but soooo worth it! I got the Ahi Katsu plate for $ 12 and it came with 5 huge pieces of ahi katsu, toss salad, Mac salad, and even a brownie! Talk about a well rounded meal! Love the extra touch of brownie! The katsu is crispy and covered in what tasted like Korean BBQ sauce! Soooo yummy!!! It was so much food that my friend and I shared the plate and we were pretty content after. My other friend got the ahi poke boat. We asked the woman at the register how much poke it came with and she said around ½ lb!(Nice!) It also came with toss salad, strips of nori, and edamame in the poke. He ate it so fast! One can only assume it was good. Another friend got the ahi katsu plus poke for $ 3 more!($ 15). It came with everything we had in our plate plus an extra side of poke with edamame in it. He couldn’t even finish it, it was so much food! The only downfall to this place is they take suuuuppppeerrr long to get their food out. We each waited at least 20 min for our food and it wasn’t even that busy! My friend that ordered the poke boat took just as long if not longer than it took to get our ahi katsu plates. If they ever get super busy, I don’t know how long it would’ve taken. Overall, it’s definitely worth the wait and price! I’ll definitely be back with my boyfriend!

Parked at Makers and Tasters lot in Kaka’ako, Flyin’ Ahi’s beautiful blue food truck isn’t hard to spot and their long lines will make it even easier for you to find. Flyin’ Ahi doesn’t only serve fish but they also have local favorites like kalbi, BBQ pork, poi, etc. Their tsunami fries are also a part of their menu and what pretty much accounts for at least half their customer orders. At least, that’s what I observed the night I ate there. Their customer service was pretty good and I was pretty impressed with the food quality. I ordered a Poke Plate(spicy ahi) and it came with my choice of salad and a dessert. I opted for a green salad and wish I hadn’t because the house dressing was very fruity. I can’t quite put my finger on what it tasted like but it was definitely fruity. The fish was really fresh and seasoned well, only there was an overkill of fresh onions. What was a nice touch was how they served it on top of sushi rice and a bunch of nori strips on the side of the plate. The tiny brownie slice that came with my plate was another nice touch. They must have used a boxed brownie mix, at least that’s what it tasted like, but it was baked just right. Although the poke was loaded with onions, it outshined the salad and brownie and rightfully so because they gave a huge portion of poke. I was pleased because I’m actually used to getting an equal amount or more rice than fish but their particular plate came with more poke than rice. What a nice surprise! Their kalbi plate was pretty legit-awesome flavor and a decent amount of meat. It was also served with a brownie slice, and with this particular plate, we had their potato/mac salad which did not disappoint one bit. This is coming from someone who doesn’t usually care for mac salad! The flavor was awesome and the mayonnaise didn’t overpower the salad. On top of the free brownies, we were also given spoons for Bloomingdale’s frozen yogurt truck, just a few stalls over. Flyin’ Ahi is definitely a great addition to the Makers and Tasters ohana. The wait for our food was a little long but to be expected with a long line and I know that kalbi doesn’t get cooked instantaneously. We received good customer service and although the salad dressing was a flop in my books, overall, we enjoyed our meal a lot and will definitely be back to support their business.

An anchor tenant at the new Makers & Tasters food truck park. Ono food, creative dishes, fresh ingredients, and nice people. Good quality fish. Really like this lunch wagon. Will be back for more.

A little tricky to find but if you know where fisherman’s wharf is then you won’t get lost at all. I was really excited to try this place out. I heard about the fish tacos but didn’t end up seeing it on the menu. I ended up just ordering the smash patty salad and my boyfriend got the ahi kastu. The food was SO good I pretty much scarfed down my salad. I can’t wait to try out the poke bowl next time. Oh and both plates came with a little dessert which I really enjoyed. The brownies were so yummy. Everyone needs to check this place out!

These guys are fantastic! I wanted to try some poke last night after hearing great things but unfortunately I waited too long and they sold out. I told them to go ahead and surprise me with a plate as I couldn’t decide what I wanted. They whipped me up some delicous grilled fish atop rice accompanied by a very tasty salad. 5 stars. Can’t wait to try the poke next time at eat the street!

Great fish tacos! I’m a fan of baja fish tacos, flyin ahi’s fish tacos are a fun twist on the Mexican standard. Panko fried Opah with cabbage, crema, and a little fruit too. Delicious tacos, clean truck, friendly, fast service– what more can you ask?

These are Tsunami Fries from #flyinahi. The fries were perfectly crisped and topped with a Wasabi Cream and Furikake topping and it was delish! Great fish tacos! Tried all 3 food trucks, and these were the best. Fresh flavor, large breaded fish with a sweet sause, sliver of pickle and crunchy cabbage. It was really great.

Flyin’ Ahi came to Mililani Tech Park today — unfortunately for me! I ordered the Flyin Combo which was supposed to be Kal bi and Panko Crusted Opah… after waiting 30 min for my food… instead of what I ordered– I got Kal bi and grilled Little Smokies on a bamboo skewer… seriously? For $ 13??? That wasn’t even in the menu! Buyer beware! Check your plate before you leave the truck… I feel totally ripped off!

Finally got to try this place! Not bad, no bad at all. Interesting mixture for the poke and the flavor was good. I tried the spicy ahi and flyin’ ahi poke. I like the little sides I got in the Tokyo poke plate. The dessert brownie was good. Interesting choice but it was tasty. The service was great as well! I’m glad they weren’t busy at the time. Altogether, great experience and great food. I will most likely return.

Flyin’ Ahi is one of those places that’s a poke lovers dream! With all of the different fads of food trucks it’s great to see one that’s out there celebrating classic island flavors and creating new taste sensations! I LOVE me some poke and we all have our hidden spots to get the best but usually you better get ready to pay an arm and a leg for it. At Flyin’ Ahi they have wonderful poke prepared in simple perfection of just inamona/limu to all out with taegu and different mixes. The poi is always thick and delicious and don’t forget the meat sticks. I keep checking the schedule cuz whenever they are there I’m gonna go! You want poke? Go on down and sample some Flyin’ Ahi!

I have returned many times and I am always happy with the service and food. I have tried many dishes which were all delicious but my favorite is the Ahi Katsu.

Awesome food & it even comes w/dessert! The poke is always fresh, made when you order, not sitting in a tray already mixed. The ahi smash salad is ono with mango dressing & wasabi ranch on the ahi katsu. My son loved the kalbi BBQ sticks… tender & good flavor, I’m a Mac salad person & was not disappointed. I highly recommend flyin’ ahi!

Gotta try it. Definitely isn’t your typical lunch wagon. The menu selections are healthier. Enough food to satisfy a 300 pound kanak. I’ve gone back a couple of times. Kalbi and poke plates so far. Each were broke da mouth ono.

I’ve never had poké this good, it literally melts in your mouth. I asked myself the same thing before I went here, «how good can poké get?». I was floored when I took my first bite, it CAN get better, and it was here at Flyin’ Ahi! The couple that own the food truck are very friendly and will bend over backward to please you. This truck is a must try on your list while on Oahu.
