The Executive Center is a mixed usage building in the heart of downtown Honolulu just on the edge of Chinatown. Some units are offices, some are residential and some are part of Aston hotels. A close friend owns a unit at the Executive Center and uses the one bedroom apartment as her office. In addition to these uses, there are also stores like Longs Drugs, a copy center and a restaurant in the basement. As with many downtown offices, parking in this building is very expensive and not recommended. However, if you just need to pick something up, there is a three minute loading zone directly in front of the building. The layout is one of the craziest I’ve ever seen. From the street level, you must walk up a few steps to take an escalator to the basement to reach the elevators to take you up to whatever unit you are visiting. The one redeeming factor of this building is the restaurant in the basement. It is one of the few sit down full-service restaurants in downtown Honolulu.

Its OK. I prefer to use the Service elevator, it in some cases tends to be faster then the other 5 elevators. Bathrooms seem to be clean as well.

This sucks. They wont let you sit on the wall outside along the street. Make everyone including old ladies stand up while waiting for their ride to drive by the curb. What happened? Did someone fall off backward into the lobby downstairs?

This is a wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Honolulu. It’s close(walking distance even for lazy people) to Chinatown and Aloha Tower as well as stores, food and a couple of Irish Pubs! We stayed on the 39th floor of 40 and the view was awesome. From our full wall of windows we could see the harbor and Punchbowl Crater. The fact that there is a jacuzzi bath tub in every room should be an easy selling point on it’s own. Now it’s a bit pricey, but if you have a government employee ID or a military ID you get a great price cut and you end up having a top notch room without having to spend Waikiki prices. My only complaint with this place was that we got attitude when we got there… I mean, sure, we broke the escalator… but it’s not our fault that the elevator wasn’t clearly marked!!!
