I’ve gotten my blood drawn many times and this is the worst place. The girl poked me 3 times because she couldn’t properly find a vein. & on top of that she forgot one vile so I had to get poked again! I have never gotten bruising around the area I’ve gotten a blood sample until this time. If you have time try to go to a different location!

If /​when I need to get some lab work done, DLS is my lab of choice. For me, POB I is convenient bc it’s the closest to my work. AND, the hours are convenient, allowing me to go either before or after work.
The only reason I give this one 3 stars is because of their lack of knowledge and casual demeanor. I’ve had to re-​do tests because of the wrong information that was given to me… For example, I was given the wrong stability limits /​requirements for an at-​home specimen collection, which led me to have to recollect all over again. Talk about cumbersome… The next time around, I made it a point to check the specimen requirements with Client Services.
Anyway, my second not-​so-​good encounter was earlier this month. The phlebotomist took my requisition and told me that I’d have to come back… without any explanation. I presume it’s because she wanted to clarify the tests on the req (with my physician), but giving me a heads-​up would have been nice.
Other than those two incidences, I have had easy blood draws here (and at DLS in general). The phlebs are quick and thorough with the name /​DOB checking. It makes me feel safe knowing that they really try to diminish the chance of a specimen mix-​up.
