This tiki bar is a cool place to go to in Waikiki, not a fancy place but great atmosphere, live music and cheap drinks. Come here every time we visit waikiki.

Fucking best place I went during my stay in Waikiki ! The older white guy that works the bar is hella funny and gets everybody in a great mood…, plus they have Piña Colada in a pineapple… Whhaaaaattt!. Since there open till 2 most nights that’s awesome after clubbin or whatever your doing since mostly everything closes up at midnight round Waikiki during the weekdays! I went to Hawaii wanting a piña colada in s Pineapple and my dream came true lol.

By far the best drinks in town… We walked into this bar by mistake, but stayed and have something to eat and a few drinks. Great food great drinks great people . The only thing is the loco coconut drink they get fresh coconuts in on Sunday so get there in the beginning of the week if you want one. But the fresh pineapple make up for it.

This was our first stop on our Hawaii vacation. We each got pina coladas in pineapples. The drinks were pretty strong and very tasty. We also ordered poke and fried calamari to share. The poke was delicious, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering the calamari. You only get about 6 thin pieces on a bed of potato chips. Definitely not worth the high price.

This place has a cool ambiance and a great staff. Didn’t have pleasure to eat here because I can for the bar. Drinks are a good price and well made. Definitely going back for more drinks and to try the food.

This place has the best mixed drinks in Oahu!!! You def. Get what you pay for flavor + a good amount of alcohol! The employees are very nice especially Mia she is so lovely and hard working!!! The only apptizers we tried were the french fries, they had good flavor. This place also has live music every night… pretty awesome tiki bar!

Great tiki bar! The first place we stopped when getting into Waikiki. I had to get my wife a drink in a pineapple so this was the spot to do it! Great atmosphere, good service. The wife was happy and I enjoyed a Shark Bite which was delicious and refreshing. Good place for day drinking! Highly recommended.

I live here and keep coming back. $ 14 free pour pineapple is well worth it. *ask for a heavy pour. Great vibe. Decent food. I come for the pineapples and nightly live music.

Brought a friend here! Drinks were strong and nicely presented. Music was great. Man singing was very friendly and engaged with the guests. We really enjoyed ourselves and I will be back! Nice little tiki vibe as well. If only this was near the beach.

We ended up at Cuckoo Coconuts because we were on the hunt for a drink served in a pineapple. Goal achieved! It’s an open-air tiki bar, so on very hot days it might not be the most comfortable. On this day it was fine. We were able to get our pineapple drinks and some poke. Both the classic and spicy poke bowls were delicious. I would go back for them.

Great place to wind down a day after seeing Waikiki and other Honolulu sights. Be sure to say hi to Abby. She makes a mean Hawaiian ice tea. We had a light snack(ocean treasure) and it was fresh and excellent. She makes her own tarter sauce. We will definitely be coming back.

I learned about this place a few months ago when I was doing research for my upcoming trip to O’ahu and was looking up Tiki Bars that had a fun, kitschy, stereotypically Hawaiian vibe and was really looking forward to trying the pineapple and coconut drinks at this place. The first time I went was on a Friday night at midnight and to my surprise and disappointment, it was closed. Someone, who I believe was the owner, told us that even though their liquor license was until 2am they closed earlier if they wanted. Being from NYC, where nothing closes before closing time, even if there hasn’t been a patron all day, I was not expecting that… especially on a Friday night. Anyhow, I tried again that Sunday afternoon(I was not leaving O’ahu without having my pineapple drink at Coconuts) since we had a few hours to kill in Waikiki before we were supposed to fly back home, and this time it was open! So here goes Pros: The vibe is super fun My pineapple drink was huge, strong, delicious and very reasonably priced The décor was very kitschy and perfect for taking those«I’m a tourist in Hawaii» photos There is a little souvenir stand right outside that was very inexpensive and had a ton of really fun things. Plus the sales lady was hilarious Cons: The service: one of the worst servers I’ve had. She was young, clearly inexperienced and didn’t really seem to care. After she took our order she left without taking the menus and since the tables were tiny I had to call her over to take the giant menus away when food was served. Otherwise she still wouldn’t have done it. I ordered the Loco Moco and she never asked what temperature I wanted my meat. It wasn’t until I cut into my medium rare meat patty that I realized that should have been noted when I was ordering. The food. I know it’s a touristy bar in Hawaii and I guess you can’t really expect great things but everything was super heavy and unoriginal. The fries were good but that’s about it really. I didn’t have more than 2 bites of the meat in my Loco Moco because it was a bit rare and I don’t eat anything that bleeds but the rest of the plate was drowning in gravy and I couldn’t really eat much because it was so heavy. My family ordered burgers and salads and the burgers seemed just ok. Edible but very plain. All in all the verdict: Go for the drinks, the fun décor and chill vibe but definitely not for the service or the food. I would give it 3 ½ stars but since it’s not possible I’ll be nice and give it 4.

While visiting Hawaii we wanted a drink served inside a pineapple and this place has it! Nice and strong too! We also ordered both the Hawaiian and spicy poke bowls and they were delightful! Service was super friendly. Outdoor seating only and no fans, so it could be a bit rough on hot days, but today the weather is perfect, so no complaints!

I went here April 2016 with my sister in law. Had the Real Pina Colada in a pineapple and my sister in law had a Dancing tiki drink. The pineapple drink really is a novelty, it was super thick and bland but it was in a pineapple! And is Hawaii! The restaurant is tucked in the back, we walked by it twice before we found it. Overall the experience, service and atmosphere was excellent. We came too early but they also have live music after 7pm.

What a neat place?! Pretty sure this originally was a tiny parking lot with a food truck on it. The walls are temporary the tent is temporary BUT with that said it’s a wonderful Dive Tiki Bar. Only place I know in Waikiki you can get a drink in a coconut. Excellent. It is a little pricy but I can’t even imagine how expensive rent is on this place. Had Chicken Lau Lau, Poke and Loco Moco. All were very good. Side note — first foray into Loco Moco and that might just be the perfect hangover food. Need to remember to make it at home. I always like to support small businesses and these guys deserve all our support.

This review of CUCKOOCOCONUTS is for the bar only — but we had a magnificent piña colada in a whole pineapple. Pineapples were HUGE. Bigger than our nuggets. The bartender was cool, and it was fun to watch him make our drinks. Lone bummer was $ 16 for a drink with very little«punch.» All novelty. Fun to do «when in Rome» but wouldn’t do it all the time. 4.25 stars!

A very laid back kind of spot in close vicinity of the main strip and beach. Though the décor here is little tacky but drinks are good. We came here just for drinks and had a drink with some mango flavor, it was really good. Hopefully next time will try food here, they also have live bands in the evening.

I wanted to come check out this place solely for alcoholic drinks. The place itself is quite tacky, yet has a pretty cool hawaiian vibe feeling too. It’s kind of nice that it’s practically an outdoor bar/restaurant with lots of colorful lit up lights hanging over your head. And I like it even more that they offer a lot of «tropical» drinks. Including a «real» piña colada drink served in a whole pineapple! $ 16 It’s cool and all, but not going to lie, the drink was pretty strong. I also got another blue tropical drink, not sure what the name of it was but it tasted good and even came with a round slice of pineapple which i really enjoyed. Overall, just a cool simple place to hang out and drink if you don’t like big or crazy crowds, not to mention the drink prices are the best value than most other places.
