I’m the type of person who searches for quality over price. After going to brow bar at Macy’s, the wax company at mccully shopping, and countless other salons around the island, I have finally found the ONE !
I called that day after searching on Unilocal to find yet another place to find someone who can actually do eyebrows. I spoke with Lia who is very pleasant, helpful, and warm. She got me in the same day !
Upon my arrival I am greeted with friendly smiles who already call me by name. It’s a very professional and clean office. I was promptly put into a room with a comfy recliner and offered a blanket. By the time Lia came in, I was snuggled like a bug. But my wonderful experience didn’t end there.
I got to witness an artist at work. Lia has a very delicate touch and she works with a masterful hand. She really listens to what you want too. She performed a mix of waxing and tweezing while she told me tips on skin and using natural products to kill bacteria on my skin. I LOVE my brows and I have never been able to say that in my life! Hands down the BEST wax experience I’ve ever had. They have definitely won over a loyal customer !

I have been seeing the owner Mary many years for facial waxing services… long before she was at this location. She is FANTASTIC and makes my eyebrows look amazing! As Mary has started to reduce her hours (good for her!!!) I have seen Lia as well who is also amazing! I spoke with Mary during my last waxing and inquired about a Brazilian which I have been wanting to do for years. I got brave and schduled an appointment. I saw Dale for this service and I was COMPLETELY anxious about it. It was my first and despite the ULTIMATELY PERSONAL nature of this service, Dale and I laughed and talked and before I knew it (and through SEVERAL moments of asking myself, WHY AM I DOING THIS??), this almost painless procedure was over. Dale «help my hand» so to speak through the whole experience. I had a lot of questions about careof the area after the fact and she was knowledgeable, helpful, encouraging and definately wanted me to have a great «after» experience. Needless to say, I will be going back and I am 100% pleased with the results. Thank you ALL for always making the experince one that I would repeat and recommend to anyone who asked!

Not horrible, but it was seriously the most un-​relaxing facial I’ve ever had. For the money (I paid $ 130), I would have rather gone to one of the overpriced hotels spas.

I’ve been seeing Mary (the owner) for 9 years, Lia for 3 and I just had my brows done by Dale today! There was a short time when I saw other people for my brows but ultimately I always had to come here to get my brows fixed! My brows are really really finicky but I’ve never left here dissatisfied! I’ll be a customer for as long as they stay open :)

I don’t like to write reviews. I only do so when the place has either really impressed me (or as in this case) severely disappointed me.
All I really want to say is DONT BE LATE, and if you are, DONT GO.
Was hoping to get a deep bikini wax, when I asked I received a look that read «WTF?» meh. ookay. maybe I’m just a idiot and thats not a real thing.
The wax was a little scorching, but the job was quick and painless.
But the end result was lopsided, and obviously a rushed job. (had baby powder everywhere yet felt sticky afterwards) also The whole reason I got a bikini wax was so hair wouldn’t stick out of my bathing suit, now I will be attempting to fix the job myself at home.
Now please understand, I was late. I’m sure she was in a hurry so she could get done before her next appointment (although there was no one waiting when I left.) But I must say I didn’t leave feeling confident and satisfied, instead I left feeling 50 $ lighter and ashamed/​embarrassed. Therefore the two star (meh i’ve experienced better) rating.

First time here, got a Brazilian wax and upper lip. Dale did a fantastic job, she was really friendly and made me feel comfortable, as if I’d known her for years, and took her time to make sure she did it right — experienced.
It was my second time getting a Brazilian and she was really gentle. Almost PAIN FREE compared to the other girl who did my first one ouchh! So I won’t need a shot of whiskey next time before I go ha.
A lot of good advice about skin care but not pushy to buy products which was nice, not just after your money.
Place is super clean and a comfortable environment! I will definitely be back!

This place is one of Hawaii’s hidden gems for skincare. I’ve been going here for years. The staff are VERY knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and their products are awesome. I’ve been going to Complexions for many different types of facials and waxing services. The staff are very professional and very informative on ways to best care for your skin. You won’t ever feel pressured to purchase their products but you will always walk out of there feeling like you got much more than you paid for. Prices are reasonable and you definitely won’t be disappointed with the individual care, quality products, and outstanding services you will receive. A customer for life!

I had a great facial and it really helped to clear my face. I also like the product lines they carry, especially skinceuticals. I will be back!

This review is not based on any services but my visit into this place. I went in with my boyfriend to try and get a color match for some Jane Iredale foundation and the lady behind the desk helped me. She seemed nice but when she took off my makeup she made a comment about how I’m breaking out. I really wouldn’t have cared but I was with my boyfriend and it was very embarrassing for me. Actually I had some scars on the place she was talking about and a small pimple but she made it sound like my face was all broken out. I say this because even later she asked what I was doing to control my acne. I’m sorry but I came into the salon to get a color match for makeup, not to be criticized about how my skin doesn’t look good! Why did she feel the need to point out the fact that I have a few pimples? I don’t point out the fact that she was a little overweight! And in front of my boyfriend on top of that? If I’m in there to only get makeup then there is no need to point out the fact that my skin is not at its best. I walked out of there feeling pretty crappy about myself because I think my skin has gotten a lot better but to have someone point out to you that you need to do something about it in front of other people is very embarrassing and unnecessary! Also she kept trying to up sell the makeup to me saying I needed to use this and that with the foundation. I went home and the makeup was so cakey and oily I had to wash it off.

I love this place! I’ve had several Brazilian waxes, eyebrow waxes and a couple of facials. Mary is amazing with wax. I have never left disappointed or in pain. Everyone is very professional and extremely friendly in that only-​in-​Hawaii way.
The offer some of the best skin care products on the market, from Dermalogica to Jan Marini (a personal favorite) to Dr. Grandel.
The prices are VERY reasonable compared to some of the bigger salons on the island, but without sacrificing quality. It’s a smaller salon, so they only have one room, which means pre-​booking is very important. Compared to other big name salons, there is less of that spa-​ambiance, which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

So… it’s been awhile since i had a great facial, great advice, and just all around great services. It’s sooo difficult to find someone who knows how to help tend to your skin and is attentive with almost motherly care… i’m going back… regularly now… and i’m taking all my friends with me!

Have been going here for years after hearing about it from my girlfriend. The staff are pleasant, personable, and easy to work with. They offer great advice that will benefit the person and not necessarily the business. Try it out!
