I stumbled upon this place by accident. I am so glad I discovered these guys! Their ice cream is incredible. Other than having fantastic tasting ice cream, it is worth pointing out that their ice cream is locally sourced. Each flavor lists a farm where the key ingredient for that ice cream comes from. I did not even know that they grow vanilla in Hawaii, and today I got to eat ice cream made with real Hawaiian vanilla. These guys deserve kudos for having ice cream that feature local ingredients from local small farms. I feel better eating this frozen treat knowing that my sweet tooth supports local farmers. I also love their tropical flavors. Unfortunately they don’t have a fixed location and only do farmers markets. Although the girl who sold me the ice cream who was just as nice as she was pretty revealed that the owner is looking to open a store front. There was even a survey where customers could vote where they want the ColdFyyre to open. I think that once they open, they can become a real threat to the Il Gelato Hawaii.

Ric C. and I had talked about going to Coldfyyre to try the«Green Sea»(sea asparagus) ice cream for a few months before we finally got there this week at the Blaisdell Farmers’ Market. From the reviews, I knew to expect really creamy ice cream – this is very true. But I had no idea how the flavor would be. I’ve had sea asparagus, and know it’s salty and sort of seaweed tasting, so that’s what I was expecting. The ice cream actually had a light green tea flavor, with the saltiness similar to what you’d taste in salted caramel. It was refreshing on such a hot day. I think you’ve got to try it, even just once, just to say you’ve had it! I decided to pick up some pints to bring home, as I had a house-guest who wasn’t able to join us. I brought home some Thai Watermelon sorbet and some Nalo Lemon. Both flavors are quite refreshing, and apparently are quite good together, as well. I didn’t get the woman’s name who was at the booth, but she was so nice! It was the end of the evening, so she offered to put some dry ice into the bag with my pints so I could get them home frozen solid. There are so many flavors at Coldfyyre that I will need to try in the future. By the way, I did let them know – if you click on the Unilocal link to Coldfyyre’s website, you get to Ben & Jerry’s. Hopefully they’ll be able to get that fixed soon!

Finally had the chance to try Coldfyyre! Delicious lilikoi ice cream, which was wonderfully tart, and chocolate truffle, which was amazingly smooth, not too sweet! Gives my favorite gelato place, Il Gelato, a run for the money!

Stopped by the evening Farmers Market before flying home from Oahu. I just had to try the«Green Sea» ice cream made with local sea asparagus. It was fantastic and not at all what i expected. It had a freshness to it, faint salty flavor and very creamy and refreshing. These people know their ice cream. The apple banana was amazing, as well.

DELICIOUS. Tasted a scoop of their«Green Sea» ice cream tonight at the Neil Blaisdell Farmer’s market. The vendor guy was EXTREMELY friendly and gracious(enough to bump 4 stars to 5). The Green Sea tastes like green tea ice cream(more delicious than Bubbies, in my opinion) but is made with local green sea salt asparagus, carried by a neighboring vendor. I was nervous after buying a hearty scoop for $ 3.75 and learning that it was made of asparagus. The vendor, sweet guy, must have seen the hesitation in my face and told me if I didn’t like the bite from my already handed cup, he’d be happy to get me something else. Which I thought was especially sweet since he had offered me samples before I had made my choice, and I jumped into the green tea without realizing it was sea asparagus. In any case, ITWASDELICIOUS — tasted yummier than Green Tea. Incredibly flavorful. Would love to see them open shop soon.

When the day is hot and steamy, Ice cream is so cold and creamy. Put it in a cone. Put it in a cup. I’m just gonna eat it up! First tried at Honolulu NightMarket and It was instant bliss! Made with real local ingredients, the quality of the ice cream is superb and you can definitely taste it. I had the cookies and cream… oh geeze… right in the childhood. Hoping to try the other flavors soon :)

seriously, as good as it gets. We used to have to drive all the way to Haleiwa to get our local icecream fix, but now I am hopelessly addicted to North Shore Apple Banana! Their lilikoi sorbet is good too! The owner is super nice, I met him at the Mililani Farmer’s Market, and it’s so refreshing to see someone excited about making their dream a reality. But more than that, it’s just delicious icecream! Absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious icecream that I dream about.

Sea asparagus ice cream is out of this world, creamy and refreshing!!! Ice cream color is slightly lighter than green tea. My husband enjoyed consuming orange lilikoi ice cream. Our single scoop appeared to be a double scoop. Ask to try a sample of their flavor(s). Well worth the amount and price. I decided to leave tip in the jar for the superb customer service and premium quality ice cream. If you see this stand, must try their one of a kind flavors. We’re in heaven!

Long story short, I went to the Night Market and tried a single scoop of Chocolate truffle on a cone. I was definitely pleased with the taste and feel doubtful i’ll find better anywhere without searching high and low. The line was long but I was greeted by a very polite woman who was eager to let me sample what ever I wanted. I’m not the biggest chocolate ice cream eater but was in the mood so went with it and I have absolutely no complaints. It was smooth creamy(but not too creamy) and simply good the way ice cream should be. It reminded me of my childhood days and I quickly found myself having no worries. The cost was 3.50 which I didnt mind. Overall great experience and i’ll let you know when I have any cons worthy of speaking of. This was good enough for me to google their location and go there just to experience it again…

OMG! Why have I not heard of this before… On Tuesday, after doing my walking work out at KCC(beautiful campus with lots of hills and stairs), I happened upon the Farmers Market… lots of great stuff being offered… but of course what caught my eye and appetite was the ice cream. I’d never heard of Cold Fyyre before, but I liked the tag line«From the Small Family Farms»…hummmm Locally made… had to try it… The young lady there was very nice and let me taste the chocolate truffle… yummmmmm so rich and creamy… so of course I had to had a cone of that… my girlfriend had the coffee… which I had to sample… again…yummmmmm. Needless to day, I ended up ordering a pint of each to bring home… guess I’ll be looking for it in the dairy cases… She said it is carried at Whole Foods-Kahala, R Field at Foodland Beretania, Kailua and Aina Haina, Kokua Market, KCC on Tuesday and Open Market in Kailua on Thursday.
