i dunno if u ever had that dream that ur in a scrap and ur trynna hit the guy w/punches but your punch is going slow motion. soo slow theres no possible way and they’re just dodging it like nothing. if soo, don’t go here. life is a struggle. lolas /champions, its all the same. its not about having what you want. its wanting what you have. when your here, embrace the food menu. take it all in. might i reccommend the bbq or wings. sports always on. my buddies used to work there but i don’t think they knew i got 86’d or we could’ve partied even more than before. the reason i got kicked out is because i was trynna get the lady bartender’s attention with a «pshh pshh» and she thought i whistled at her! im not no masoginistic abuser of women, but apparently she couldn’t tolerate«pssh pssh». and thats why i didn’t go when it was champions. looking forward to better nights @ lola’s.

If you want horrible service and horrible drinks, this bar is perfect for you. The last time I came here, our server had no clue on what she was talking about and either the bartender just didn’t know how to make her drinks, or the server was telling her wrong orders. The server was too busy chatting with the bartender to remember that she has customers she needs to take care of. Like someone else mentioned, management needs to either train these servers better or find new ones! Don’t waste your time with this place.

First off, everything you order is not available. I ordered the Furikake wasabi garlic chicken which is Chicken Katsu with Furikake sprinkled on top of it and there is no wasabi or garlic in sight. Asked for the sweet chili sauce, it never comes. As my food got cold waiting for the sauce, I asked for a box and that didn’t come either. I could understand if it was busy, but it’s not. I don’t really come here and now I know why. I would give 0 out of 5 stars if that was an option.

Great sports bar with a cold beer hot food pretty young and very good looking bartenders like Edith know sports … The place is well appointed marble bar its clean, not a dive… with 14 big screen color TV wifi very clean toilets and most important Guinness on tap $ 4 during happy hour. Happy hour 2 – 8 so industry love it. I was in to watch the World Series … Go Mets … No place like this in Waikiki. it’s a shame … I used to skip school to listen to the games on the radio now NFL rules sports. Many sports bars problem is that prime time live sports is at 2 o’clock I think it’s a good idea to tape and repeat games of week. Champions is good bar… Bar, comfy diner style booths Really big clean pool room and parking in front … Food is really clean and good … That’s why they are #1 with locals

The food here is simply amazing! Quality food that you can keep on tasting for days! It’s a good atmosphere to get some great food and watch sports.

I recently went to Champions for the 1st time to watch a UFC fight(Gustafsson v Cormier) and I really enjoyed my time here. Started off with the bacon wrapped asparagus, followed up by garlic fries and then the ahi plate. Expecting your normal bar fare, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the food was actually high quality, with care put into the preparation and presentation. For the price, I thought it was a very good value. The service here that I experienced was also excellent. There were three severs working our table, and each one stopped by at somewhat regular intervals to ask if we needed soda refills or anything else. Overall I had a great experience here and would definitely recommend it to someone looking to catch a sporting event and get some grinds!

Update: Sorry had to update my review, they stopped charging for the valet parking and felt it was not fair to have my old review sitting out there which stated they charge for valet parking. Food is still ono, just a bit pricey. Worth it though.

The WORST service ever. I will never go back to this place. The asshole bartender is a lazy jerk. We sat down to watch the game a half hour before it started. A waitress finally came by to take our order after we’ve been sitting at our table for 20 minutes(it was pretty empty so they werent busy). I ordered a glass of wine and our waitress brought it and apologized and said she just started so I was fine with that. But that damn bartender is who pissed me off. My first glass of wine was filled fine but after our waitress never came back(she must’ve gotten off work and didn’t tell us) I went up to the bartender and ordered another glass and he poured what was left of a bottle(didn’t even fill it halfway), threw the bottle away and didn’t even bother to open another one to finish filling my glass. I was standing there waiting and comes back and in the snobby tone says to me anything else? So I just took my glass and sat down. I thought the whole time I should’ve said something but I just wanted to watch the game. He knew what he did too because he kept eyeing me out while I was at my table. I felt like I totally got ripped off because he charged me for a glass of wine and the first one was a normal glass and the second one was not even half but he was too lazy to open a new bottle. That place can kiss my ass. The fag bartender can jump off a bridge too. Terrible experience. Never going there again.

I feel bad writing this review because the bartender was so nice and accommodating. But I have to address the food — the wings taste like what would happen if airlines decided to serve chicken wings. As far as the pork sandwich — the pork itself was good — but it was served on like 2 slices of wonder bread. On top of that the fries were bland and tasteless — like those McCain frozen ones you get from the grocery store.

We were here last night and got the private room. We’ve got the private room before and had great service. Last time we got the room almost a year ago, we had the best service ever! I forgot our host’s name, but he was on point and entertaining. But last night was a disappointment. No host and our server had a hard time understanding our orders. Idk if it’s the language barrier thing, but our party started to drift to the bar. My friend even started to carry our orders from the bar to the room. Last night just wasn’t a good experience.

This review is based on my first and most likely last experience here. A few friends and I decided to catch the fights this past weekend. Initially it wasn’t too bad $ 10 cover. When I got there I wasn’t waited on until having to grab the attention of the person running the door. He was good, and took my order. Sadly the food took about 45 minutes to get to me. Ordered fries, soy beans and nachos. What made it worse was my chicken wings did not come for another 1hr 30min. I’m pretty patient but asked the waitress to cancel the wing order but her response was that it was to late. I guess that it is my fault after all I did wait almost 2 hours to say something. I got my food which was okay. But when the food was delivered I asked for a coke. That took another hour or so to get to me. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a little crowded but the service I received was the worst I have ever had thus far. I expected more esp. With a cover at $ 10. The last thing that was mind numbing was when I asked the owner for a take out box. Since the food took so long to get to me I had lost my appetite. He went to go get it and after waiting 20 minutes never came back. I hope they train their staff better and get waitresses/waiters that actually care. Hope everyone else’s experience here will be better.

Writing this as I wait for my fries and my friend’s beer. Been almost an hour waiting for these two simple requests. Seasoned fries + garlic, bacon, cheese, sour cream and bottle of Bud Light. No offer of water or anything for filler either. — Edit: Finally got the fries, had no garlic. No utensils, no plates, no napkins. Still got no water. Server came to the table a couple more times apologizing but always left immediately after. Asked for three waters after the first time he came to the table but it didn’t show up until we had to ask a second time after he constantly passed our table and SERVEDANOTHERTABLEWATERS. A few times I looked over at the bar I saw one of the bartenders either on his phone or standing on the side using his vape pen. If you’re not on break then you shouldn’t be doing that. And the server told me that the bar and the kitchen were both backed up with orders? My friend and I both put in our orders before the rush too, so there shouldn’t have been any excuse for the hour wait. FORFRIESAND A BEER.

Came in looking to watch my Mariners game but found out it was blacked out on the entire island. The woman helping us look for us was AMAZING! Food was great and service was even better. The inside is much nicer then what the outside portrays. Give it a try! :)

Chill bar, good food, AWFUL service. Even though we were the only table of people in the whole bar, the server constantly neglected our orders, made mistakes, and then eventually overcharged us at the end of the outing. We constantly were asking ourselves«Where is our waitress?!» This was especially prevalent when we tried to track her down just to get our bills. I waited an extra 10 minutes after the rest of my group got mines just so I could get my credit card. Why why why! Similar to some of the reviews below, the server that was working overcharged everyone in the group… She definitely was not keeping track of who had what drinks. Heck, it didn’t even matter that we all had started separate tabs!!! To make matters worse, when I asked her about an extra shot that was charged to my tab, she had to bring it back to the whole group to see who had ordered shots. Ummm honey, shouldn’t you know who ordered what?! I ended up paying for the shot cuz she said oh, one of the other guys was charged for one less shot. Soooo I finally took it and was like fine, I guess I bought him a drink?! Such a painful experience trying to figure out everyone’s bill. Seriously I hope this is the only server that’s like this. Would be a chill spot had service been more on point… Cheers!

DOUBLECHECKYOURBILL!!! This was the 2nd time I visited this place & this was the 2nd time I was charged a round of shots on my bill from the table by us. The servers have no sense in pushing in orders. The first time i visited, champions charged 2 random beers on my bill. The 2nd time I went, champions delegated my bill to take care of 5 shots of whatever. So, my 1 beer cost me $ 48.00. Very pricey if you ask me.

Listen up ladies! Champions Sports Bar & Grill has the CLEANEST women’s restroom of any other bar I’ve been to. I don’t mean«I’m so drunk I’ll pee just about anywhere» clean either! It is «I am sober and here with a bunch of dudes and I hope they’re watching my purse while I pee in the cleanest bar bathroom I’ve ever been in» clean! I’m not a crazy germaphobe(Obviously. I use bar bathrooms…), but like any other woman, I appreciate a clean and well-stocked restroom and Champions delivers! While their amenities are rave-worthy, the rest of Champion’s is your standard sports bar: Beer, Food, TV, ESPN, and tons of dudes! No, really. There are tons of dudes there. Which might explain why the women’s restroom is so darn clean… All in all, Champion’s is definitely a laid-back, chill, rubbah slippahs type of place. They carry an extensive selection of beer and liquor as well as local bar favorites like seasoned edamame, fried rice, and even Tater Tot Nachos! Their nachos are pretty good, but I think Home Bar hits the home run on that one. Sorry Champions, but you’re not the champion of the tots. The prices vary, but there is a $ 20 credit card minimum, so sometimes ordering extra food and drinks helps to meet the requirement. In addition to the many TVs stationed throughout the bar, patrons at Champions can entertain themselves with pool, darts, and a Fish Hunting Arcade Game. After my friends and I arrived and settled into a booth, another group entered and bee-lined it for this game. Before too long, a small crowd had gathered around and there were boisterous cheers and laughter coming from that corner. Whatever game that is, it seems to be ridiculously fun! While Champion’s isn’t my favorite place to spend a Friday night, I can always count on good food and drinks and the CLEANESTBARBATHROOMEVER. God, I really hope it’s clean the next time you go or you’re going to think I have awfully low standards…

Parking Sucks for this place. The parking lot is small. But the inside is clean and it’s AC so its quite comfortable. The food is pretty good. We had the tator tot nachos, kalbi, and mandoo. The tator tots need to be eaten quickly. Since there was only 2 of us, after our first bites, the tator tots got mushy. It had good flavor though. The kalbi was moist and had good flavor. The meat was tender. I would order it again. The fried mandoo had a good crisp exterior. However, the inside was a little under cooked. Normally when we go it’s perfect. Overall this one of the better sportsbars to eat at. The service is pretty good. It’s pretty relaxing. And the ambiance is good. You just have to find parking.

Very divey but we came with a pretty large party and they seemed to be able to handle us quite well. My co-workers like this place but this is the first time I’ve been here. I started off the evening(completely sober) by knocking over my friend’s drink on the way to my seat. Classy right? Wait staff was really helpful and I ordered her a replacement but was shamed for the rest of the night. They had a special $ 4 three olives cocktail in a few flavors. I got the vanilla vodka + OJ + a splash of 7-up and it was great! Like a dream[sicle]! For four bucks, I’d highly recommend that route. One of my friends also ordered a bottle of the yogurt soju which was mighty tasty as well. Drinks here are pretty standard fare for a sports bar. Besides the $ 4 special, nothing really amazing happening drinkwise. There are a bunch of TVs throughout playing whatever is on ESPN. Not a big fan of TVs at my bars but I know what I signed up for by coming here so no complaints from me. My only regret was probably that I didn’t get to try the food. We got there late and I try not to binge eat oily foods late at night. Valet late at night. I parked on the street because I’m really cheap. So sue me.

I go here far too often to write a bad review… But there have been too many things to ignore lately. I LOVE the fans here… the Niners Corner is the place to be during NFL season! But unfortunately, I don’t think the management appreciates these fans that bring them in thousands of dollars per football Sunday. Their TVs really need to be HD and all the fans have been clamoring for the change for two years now. The service is so inconsistent… Some days you wait for almost an hour just to get a glass of water and other days you are greeted with a smile and a pitcher of ice water. The food is definitely local style. So I’m fine with grubbing on edamame or garlic fries. Those are pretty decent and come in big portions. But try ordering the Kim Chee rice without bacon and you would think you were asking them to make it into a vegetable stir fry… Most of the time they just ignore the request and serve it with bacon. Which would be fine if the carnivores even liked it… Even they said it tasted bad! I can let some of these mistakes go… But as far as following the smoking code goes… THEYDON’T. Days that the weather is bad(and some days when it is fine) the smokers crowd the door to hear the game and the scent wafts in. If I wanted second hand smoke, I’d date a smoker, trust me! Overall the atmosphere is great and for ordering a couple of beers with the game, it’s a decent place– especially for a Niners fan during football season! … But management, please listen to your customers and make some changes!

I love Champions for the 49er games and the fans(both local and non locals like myself.) I know that tables are hard to come by during game day but if you’re patient enough, you’ll be able to grab a coveted seat! I love the fact that the owner is so friendly and constantly greeting this customers and asking how everyone’s doing. The TV’s are loud, there’s never a blocked view of a screen and they even cater or large parties! What I don’t like about this place is the horrible service and the mean bartenders. I never understand why people work in customer service if they’re going to be so upset all the time? It makes no sense.(I mean, it does. they make decent money but still!) We came here last week as a party of four and the waitress(es) messed up our order and ended up coming to our table multiple times with the same food. The food was pretty good but it’s basic bar food. Nothing really special. I was really craving fried pickles and when they came out, it was so breaded and so big that it was hard to eat. I wasn’t too happy after that. They also gave us such smmmall amount of dipping sauce. I mean, like TINY! I should of brought my own bottle of ranch. lol. We managed to have one beer each because they weren’t very attentive with our drink orders and our friend kept getting up to get his own water because. see above. I probably won’t come back unless the friends are dragging me along.
