«A bottle of red? A bottle of white? It all depends upon your appetite.» A bottle of green? Huh? Not bottles of wine, but 16-oz. plastic containers of vintage salsa roja, verde, and queso blanco. Queso blanco is especially hard to find here in Hawaii. A good one? Fuhgeddahboutit. That is until Unilocaler Mary D. turned me on to Botanas Fajardo. Angel makes a VERY good one. For anything you can think of that goes well with a soft, pepper jack-like-tasting cheese. Use it as a spread, a dip, a drizzle. With a bag of Angel’s fresh-made, lightly salted tortilla chips, and her queso and salsa’s, make your own Mexican flag(green, white, and red) nachos. Need a little more spice in your life? Angel has 1-oz. «spice shots» for $ 1. Be very careful with the stuff. It’s reportedly made with the infamous ghost pepper. Yes, that of the 1+ million Scoville heat units. I mixed just the tip of a teaspoon of the stuff into about 4 teaspoons of the red salsa, and my taste buds discovered a sixth taste — salty, sweet, sour, bitter, umami, and«aiyee!» There’s an Angel in the Aliamanu area, and she’s making up some snacks that are absolutely heavenly! Delicious home made queso blanco, chips and salsas! Definitely fills a craving that is hard to quench here on the island. Pick up is fast & convenient and customer service is always with a smile! Have purchased 3 times and will continue to come back for more.

This is seriously awesomely addicting food right here. When we get a craving for chips, cheese, and salsa, we call Botanas Fajardo. Nothing comes close. The chips are thin, lightly salted, and are great eaten alone. She cooks them up fresh right before pickup or delivery. I can’t eat any other tortilla chip, they just don’t match up to hers. And the amount of chips you get for $ 4 is what makes me come back for more. No prepacked bags with 10 chips and puffed up with air. You get a full bag of freshly fried chips. The salsa is amazing! The texture, the taste is unbeatable. For me, the heat(if you wanna call it that) is perfect. I don’t dare try her spice shots. I’d die. LOL. The queso… oh, the queso. This is contributing to my inability to lose weight! Haha! And it’s worth every pound! Her queso is so good my family will finish the container in ONE night! I always pick up 2 sets of chips, salsa, and queso because I know one isn’t enough. If you haven’t given Botanas Fajardo a shot yet, you’ve got to. Just try it once, that’s all you need.

Salsa is perfectly seasoned, and expertly crafted. Not too spicy, definitely not bland. The texture is perfect as well. Not too chunky, or too watery. I know she also sells«hot“shots to spice it up if you want. But I think it’s just perfect. I’ve tried all the offerings. The queso blanco is the best ever. I think we killed our container of it in like 4 hours. Seriously this is perfect stuff. The salsa verde was excellent as well. I only hope that there will be tamales during the holidays. I can’t believe people say they can’t find good Mexican anything here. They’re not trying. I’m very stingy with my stars but they deserve it.

OMG! Welcome home. You’ve finally found it. We found this place by accident. Now we are hooked. They have always been prompt and ready for me. They were also understanding when we were late. For military they travel to bases! The queso is to die for. The last batch I picked up and stopped at a park down the road and«tasted» it. It was SO good we ate half. No other place on island(and I’ve tried a ton) have real white queso and not Kraft cheese. The queso can last up to a week. Just not in my house. It’s addicting. The salsa rosa is perfect for everything! Chips, tacos, and Cooking! Perfect. It’s mild but still has a kick. No need for me to add the spice shot. On that note. If you need more than a kick they sell spice shots to kick it up a notch. Over all the salsa rosa is not too chunky and it’s not to watery. It is great chip or scoop consistency. Both of these are so good I’ve bought them as gifts. We jokingly called it black market salsa. Worth going to jail for. I’m not a fan of the salsa verde. My family loves it I just don’t. For me it’s missing something. Still great, I’m just not in love. Finally the chips are just ok. Though they are fresh made. They are not over salted. The price is fair. I just prefer over salted blue corn chips. We will be back with cash in hand. Cash only!

Yum yum yum! Every time we get a container of queso blanco, as soon as my husband and I get home we ‘try” it just to have a little and end up almost eating it all. So addictive and so tasty! With the«queso» around here that’s almost like melted shredded cheese, this is what this island is missing. REAL queso.
