Consistent and easier to exit parking on the side streets. Recently saw someone have to use a backup camera and several maneuvers to exit. No Bueno. So make it easier on yourself and park nearby on the spacious street. I prefer Leahi Ave, Kanaina Ave and Kaunaoa St. Recently tried their pumpkin chai latte because they ran out of mango. Yum! Worth a switch :) They get one extra star for being really great in a medical emergency for another patron – bringing water, a fan and calling 911 calmly. Plus they are consistent w their cleaning of floors and tables as well. Great staff!

Most weekends aka: Sunday’s is downtime day. Sleep in a little later and off to coffee/breakfast. This week Bogarts was the selection due to the wide variety menu items. Parking lot small, we were lucky to find parking in front. Line is out the door. The girls at the service counter nice. Ordered Acai Bowl and Eggs Benedict over corn beef hash. Food came; Acai yummy — Eggs Benedict was average. Had one and found that the food was salty. Ate one and threw the rest away. Ended up getting an Acai Smoothie from next door to complete my breakfast.

Worth the drive! So many food choices and they never let you down. It’s a bit pricey but I don’t mind I always leave satisfied. If your at the beach or hiking at diamond head, this place I recommend.

I haven’t eaten here in years but I’m so glad I came back! The breakfast bagel sandwich is always a winner. I finally tried the mama’s fried rice and the portion is huge and equally delicious. My friend got the pesto omelette and the eggs were fluffy, flavorful, and seasoned well. The Milano salad is always tasty and quite filling. Get the dressing on the side so you can control the level of acidity and tang. Love the combo of chicken, blue cheese, and the grapes. Parking sucks here but there’s always street parking if you can’t get a stall in the lot. Oh and don’t be a dick and park in the no parking area because cars can’t get out of their stall.

Located in the gray strip mall on Monsarrat Avenue just before Waikiki Elementary School, Bogart’s is a popular restaurant with a 40 – 60 mix of locals and tourists. There is limited parking in the lot, which fills quickly. They boast an extensive menu and daily specials. We tried the Hawaiian waffle, a Belgian waffle covered with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and bananas and warm haupia sauce. ONO! Not too sweet or overpowered by the haupia sauce. The corned beef hash plate was real chunks of corned beef with pan-fried potatoes and onions, two eggs any style, and two scoops of rice. Sorry, but I’m not a fan of real corned beef, so this dish wasn’t my favorite, though it was tasty.

I got here at 7am on a Friday and it was already full of people. Only 2 people in front of me in line though which was great. A seat cleared up just as I finished ordering. I decided to get one of the«local favorites» posted on a board next to the register. Chicken and veggie omelette. It’s a little pricy at $ 14+ but it was definitely worth it. Giant chunks of moist flavorful chicken and a mound of mixed veggies all on a fluffy egg base. Veggies included asparagus, mushrooms, onions, peppers, avacado, and spinach. Very happy with my big breakfast! They only accept cash, but there is an atm in the same little strip mall you can walk to really quickly.

First time at Bogarts, I had the Corn Beef with rice and egg, it was really good! The meat is real beef and cook well, friendly staff, only setback was that the place is tiny and has limited sitting area and no restroom but otherwise great food!

The açai bowl cannot be recommended highly enough. Super delicious! They had a pretty good menu of options, but it was very busy when I went, so I went for something simple. The staff was friendly, the place smelled great, and it’s only a short drive away from the mountain. If you’re coming off of a hike, this is where I’d recommend you refuel.

I really like the food here. The scrambles and breakfast bagels are all quite tasty. But this is a bone to pick review. The scones(with currants) are really great here. I mean really good. One of the reasons I come here is for the joy of eating them scones as we wait for our breakfast order to arrive. So owner manager person… will you please stop who ever is coming in and buying all of your scones at one time? Please ask that person to order ahead of time next time because they are robbing the rest of your meal buying and eating in customers. Don’t go for the quick sale for the benefit of one smash and grab scone snatcher. If they order ahead you obviously make that order plus the always sell out morning crowd. Plus if I see her buy out all of the scones right before me in line again… I won’t be held responsible for whatever comes out of my mouth that morning. Ha! As I’m writing this another family just came in and said«No scones today? We drive over here for that. It’s 7:30.»

I’ve been coming here for over a year now. I haven’t found a better place to get bagels! They have a huge selection of bagels, too. I always get the strawberry guava bagel, but the taro one is delicious, too :) Their fried rice is super good too. The only downsides are that there is a usually a long line(but thats only because its so good!) and they only accept cash.

Thai Iced Coffee here is strong, smooth and just sweetened enough with condensed milk. At $ 4.5, a price that’s pretty standard, this is a consistently good drink. I’ve also tried the green smoothie that goes on rotation and the chai but iced coffee remains my fav. There is a small parking lot out front, no restroom and this is also cash only.

Food took a bit but was well with the wait!!! Friendly staff and excellent food. Suggest the crab and avocado omelette or the homemade hash!

In the many times I’ve been here, the best times to come in have always been when I’ve come in at 6am when this little shop opens. It’s cool, and cozy, as only the early-birds stream in. The food is great — get a seat while you can! The Belgian Waffles with nutella and strawberries($ 9.60) are generous, and just by itself will be a full stomach-filler. The big draw for me here, however is the Goldie Lox Benedict($ 14.85). Truffle oil in the hollandaise is meh, but it’s good. Share the two dishes with a friend and a cup of coffee, and you’ll definitely have a good start to the day. If, in case you do wake up in a not-so-early hour and you anticipate getting there a bit late(like… at 7am?), forget about getting a seat if you don’t want to wait. The line of tourists and locals are out the door, and don’t even consider parking in the lot — park on the street. Kanaina Avenue, or Kaunaoa Street are good spots. The a/c is a bit sketchy so it’ll be a bit warm. No help during the humid day — ooegh. My sense, if I can’t get my fix early, is to call in and make a take-out order. Go straight for the back and pick it up when you get there! Now, as I mentioned the food is AMAZING, but the prices are a bit much, and service is a crapshoot if the crowd is heavy.

Finally stopped by this little Waikiki gem after the HIbiscus Half Marathon! Man, am I glad I did! So given its extremely small size, the line was out the door at 8am on a Sunday morning. There were maybe 6 – 7 tables inside and 2 – 3 just outside the door. Doesn’t leave much room for standing in line or sitting for that matter. I was lucky and found parking out front in front of another restaurant and made the short walk over to Bogart’s. There was a convenient sign just outside the door with the menu on it — but if I’m being honest, I already had my heart set on the crab cakes eggs benedict! As to be expected, the wait in line was a bit long — the patrons inside seemed to be mostly made up of tourists. My running partner and I finally made it to the cashier and she took our order which was the crab cakes eggs benedict, a caramel macchiato, a chocolate oreo shake, and a Portuguese sausage, avocado, and cheese omelette. We lucked out and managed to snag a table right after ordering! The coffee came out first, from a young lady who looked as if she led a miserable life and we were just getting in her way of unhappiness. My friend who ordered her coffee was extremely pleased with it. My oreo chocolate shake came out next and it was so delicious! Unfortunately, we were both done with our drinks before the food even came out. Regardless, the food was outstanding! I haven’t had a crab cake that I actually liked until now! I’ve always been a fan of eggs benedict so this was just a match made in breakfast heaven!!! On that note, I’ve also never been a fan of southern fried potatoes but I actually quite enjoyed the ones that accompanied our egg dishes. The food was impeccable. That is truly what saved this place in my review! I’ll e back time and time again. But remember, CASHONLY! And try not to let their smile-less faces deter you from eating at this wonderful little(and I do mean LITTLE) restaurant. By the way… I can’t wait to try their pancakes next!!! My favorite place in Honolulu! During my 6 days stay in the Lotus Honolulu Hotel, I have visited this breakfast place for 3 days! The food is just THAT amazing! There is not much service. You ordered at the counter, and someone would bring you the food if you eat in. Then you cleaned your own dishes. However, the self service does not shy away the people who are loving their food. I tried the following: — Mama’s Fried Rice *****(amazed!) — Garlic Shrimp Fried Rice **(not too amazed) — Hawaiian Waffle *****(amazed!) — Loco Moco *****(their edited version of Loco Moco is so good!) — Mocha Espresso Shake *****(refreshing!) For those who are looking for a good breakfast/brunch place in Hawaii, this is a down to earth place where you can find amazing food at a very reasonable price!

The food is good, a little pricey and the customer service could be a little better, but all in all, not a bad place. We always get the acai bowl… depending on the day though you could have a lot of acai and fruit or not. The taste is always consistent, just the quantity tends to change. Their breakfast bagels are really good — choice of bagel and meat with spinach, cheese, and tomato — simple and delicious! Tried the garlic shrimp fried rice also, it was good but if you order it make sure you’re prepared with some gum or Altoids… buggah is garlicky! The parking is atrocious, so if you find a real parking stall in that tiny lot, you are lucky! *Tip — just park on one of the side streets and walk over — your best bet. *Your second tip — call in your order and pick it up and find a prettier place to enjoy your deliciousness. The actual place is super small and if you’re even the slightest bit claustrophobic, you will want to make sure you’re outta there quick! Go enjoy!

Bogarts is indeed an attraction, not only to tourists but to locals as well! I love their smoothies and their acai bowl is generous and good as well! Their waffles are also a real treat, the Hawaiian waffle if you want to try the yummy haupia sauce My mom loves their breakfast bagel as well as their breakfast burrito! They have a pretty big menu so that is a huge plus! The service is slow sometimes BUT for a hole in the wall they jam out a large amount of orders and although the workers may not give you their undivided attention it’s because they truly are trying to get your orders out as fast as they can! I think they have so much service people forget this is not a full service restaurant as much as the workers try to accommodate everyone. I’ve seen them bend over backwards to please extremely picky eaters!

I’ve always been wanting to check this place out & I finally did. There are so many options on their menu. It was a little overwhelming so I Unilocaled their most popular dishes. I went with the Garlic shrimp fried rice… O.M.G SOGOOD! It’s $ 14 for a bowl but it was so… good. I’ve heard great things about their acai bowls that I have yet to try so I will be back. The only complaint I have is the restaurant is too small & overly crowded & it gets a bit hot inside. I was sweating while eating my lunch. And the parking sucks. But other than that, I would def recommend for their awesome food!

This place was recommended to me by a friend. specifically for their acai bowl. A very small and cozy place & cash only. You order the food at the front register, and they’ll bring your food out to you wherever you choose to sit. The gal working the register had no personality at all. She barely looked me in the eye lol. Anyways, I got their acai bowl as well as the garlic shrimp fried rice. The total was about 23 bucks. kind of pricey IMO. Took a good 15 minutes for the food(I got it to-go), and I just decided to eat my acai bowl there and take the fried rice back to the room. Acai bowl comes with blueberries, strawberries and bananas. Granola spread throughout as well as drizzled with honey. It was.okay. Nothing to rave about. It’s definitely a very generous amount! If they had a peanut butter acai bowl, I would’ve been ALL over that! Shrimp fried rice– SUPAHDUPAH garlic-y! But. it lacked salt and other flavoring. It just tasted like oil and garlic. The shrimp didn’t look like it was fully cooked. It was. just okay. It’s mixed in with egg and spinach as well.

We came after diamond head hike, we shared an Acai bowl which was awesome after the hike. Very refreshing and mama’s fried rice. The rice has good flavor but nothing I would go back for. This place is CASH only and not cheap– anything with shrimp and crab was $ 20+. The Acai bowl was $ 9 and fried rice was around $ 9 as well. Limited seating, got busy so some people shared outdoor tables.

One of the best acai bowls in town! Get this — a generous serving of acai frozen gelato soft serve covered with strawberries, banana, granola, blueberries. Drizzled with Honey. Delicious! About $ 9 a bowl and a bit of a wait, but well worth it! Four solid stars!

Cute little café that I stopped by before going hiking at Diamond Head. We ordered the garlic shrimp fried rice and hawaiian waffles. ITWASSOGOOD! Only reason I gave 4 stars was because I was quite disappointed in the coffee…

This place has become such a tourist hot spot that I avoid coming here most of the time. Safe time to go? Sundays at 3:30pm. I usually go for one thing: the acai bowl. Unlike other acai places, they only have one size and one type. No standing around figuring out if you want this or that topping, it’s just the basics and everything you need to feel satisfied. It’s a little over $ 9, making it pricier than other places but the quantity makes up for it. The acai bowl comes with the usual bananas, blueberries, strawberries, granola, and honey. The main two reasons I enjoy it so much is 1) it’s not overly sweet and 2) it has more of a frozen consistency so it won’t turn into a goopy mess if you don’t finish it in 5 minutes. My friend swears by the acai smoothie here. Apparently it’s delicious, makes hangovers go away, takes 10 years off your face, and cures cancer. Highly doubtful, but I’m sure one of those is true: it’s delicious.

Bogart’s is a bright and casual café making fresh and tasty egg dishes, pancakes, salads, and sandwiches. They stay open for lunch and early dinner, but I only go for breakfast. I like their coffee, they use Illy and if you dine in you get a real mug. Their eggs benedict stands out with their truffle scented hollandaise. The Goldie Lox has lox and avocado, or spring for the Crab Cakes with real lump crab meat. As far as hand held breakfasts go, both their Breakfast Bagel and Burrito are winners. Totally loaded with eggs, your choice of meat, and other goodies. And if you have a sweet tooth, the Taro Banana Pancakes with Haupia Sauce is waiting for you. This is the perfect breakfast dessert to finish your meal. Parking is tough, there are a lot of popular business in the area, and if you go during peak times you will wait in line to order, wait in line for a table, and wait for food. So call in a take out or just relax and be prepared for the wait. On a Saturday morning it’ll feel like every hiker, beach goer, post workout, and tourist headed straight to Bogart’s, but don’t worry there is plenty of good eats here to go around.

Busy. Busy. Busy. It was so packed the morning I was there. Well, there was a reason: It was so freakin’ delicious! After hiking Diamond Head, I needed to re-fuel and re-hydrate. And what’s a better than eating like a local. Bogart’s Café is certainly a hole-in-the-wall kind of a place. It is so tiny with limited seating(maybe 6 tables inside,) and few outside. — Pro tip: If you are getting your order to go, call and place your order in advance. When in Hawaii, eating like a local means getting the Garlic Shrimp Fried Rice($ 12.50), at least once. If fried rice isn’t your thing, there is an extensive menu of breakfast/lunch items, which is served all day. Breakfast bagel sandwich, anyone? Also, no breakfast is complete without coffee, or in my case, it was Café vienna. It was a true treasure. Yummy. P.S: Cash Only. Four Unilocal
