It’s a decent size club and the inside is real clean but there is only a few tables to sit at

A lot of middle aged vietnamese folks. Waitresses are old women and not young attractive girls. You pay $ 2 per song that you sing. It’s just a spot to check out if you’re curious of how the vietnamese community party, otherwise go somewhere else. It’s an unmarked business next door to Paradise. I only give it two stars for the size of the venue and support of a local business. But otherwise, it needs major improvement.

Very disappointed. Didn’t taste any alcohol at all for my 9 dollar drink. Vodka cranberry only tasted cranberry juice then got a jack and coke and same issue but bartender seemed to careless so not going back to waste my money on pricey drinks that aren’t worth my money. Not going back or recommending this place. Don’t waste your money. Not worth it.

Boda Café is the venue for the 18+ party on fridays called Honey. Impressed? absolutely not. They give you a wrist band if you’re over 21, but only allow you to drink in a small area, removed from the dance floor. They also don’t allow re-entry, so if you’re like me and get bored and go out to get your phone, you’ll end up playing tsum tsum I’m your car until your friends are over it too. Remember, this is a 18+ event. That means most of the people here are 18,19 or 20. You’ll feel like you’re in high school all over again, but apparently some older people(in their 30s by their looks) dig it. Maybe it makes them feel young. The people working here all around aren’t very friendly. The girl who takes your money doesn’t smile or talk, he guy checking IDs is also unfriendly… The security people seem to only enforce rules when they want to. Sighhh. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and just eat at the side street inn next door, you’ll be glad you did!

If you can’t find their entrance, you should know that they have no sign up. After Michelle’s took over, they moved about 2 – 3 spots to the right(if you’re facing Michelle’s). This is the go-to spot(besides Zippy’s) after a late night at Ginza when you are starving like a mutha’. It’s a bit pricey, but really worth it. Plus, you’re inebriated — everything is pretty much worth it then. ;] — Raw beef salad(BOTAICHANH) $ 10 – 15 — Shaken beef(BOLUCLAC) $same — French bread sandwich(BANHMITHIT) $ 6 ea; this comes with bird’s eye chili peppers already inside, so I think you have to tell them you don’t want it. ^ you have to at least try this once; take it «to go.» many late night foodies come here just for the sandwich, for good reason.

I do not go here for drinks… But I do go here for the food. The hit list: +The Boda Sandwich(SPICY please!) more than your traditional Vietnamese sandwich. Bale ain’t got NOTHING on this. Seriously… +Raw beef salad with onions and other stuff… I don’t know what they do with this meat, but it’s pretty great! The dressing is phenomenal. +Fried Quail. It’s like mini fried chicken, but not. It’s quail… And it comes with a salty, spicy, peppery sauce that is to die for! I crave these often. Good thing Boda is open until 4 a.m. FYI-the music in there is crazy.

4 stars because of the food, not the hostess part. LOL. Friends of mine who read this will understand. They start serving food from 8:30p til 3am. Great late night spot and definitely one of the best Vietnamese food on the island. Besides phở, they have the duck soup, the sandwiches, the beef salads, all broke da mouf. Haven’t been here in awhile but last I know it’s changed a bit. Drinks are expensive, but that’s just how it is in a hostess bar. It’s always been a part of the Asian culture and that’s just how it is. The barmaids would get mad though if you just come in to ogle at the girls and not buy anything. Other than that, karaōke, Viet music, or fobby techno blare from the speakers.

I don’t ever go here for the hostess aspect. I go there because it is the best Vietnamese food that I have found to date in Hawaii. Yup… they don’t start serving until 830 pm, but it is worth the wait. If you don’t like smokey atmosphere(they let people smoke ciggarettes) and the feel of being in asia, get takeout. The food is outrageously good. The phở is phonomenal(yes…I spelt that wrong intentionally), the raw beef salad is out of this world, and the sandwiches are to die for. Check it out… don’t sit at the hostess bars… find a table in the middle, and ask for Diep… she knows what is up on the food(I think her husband is the chef). Yup…the prices on drinks are outrageous… I try not to drink here. I order tap water to go wtih my food an maybe have a beer. Shoot… it is a hostess bar. They make their money off of the drinks. The food is on the expensive side for Vietnamese food, but when you taste it, you won’t feel that way.

vietnamese bar/karaōke/mafia hang out kind of scene. it is located right next to side street inn. the layout looks exactly like club black jack but smaller. drinks were like $ 10 for everything. EVEN A BOTTLEOFWATER! can’t believe that. they allow smoking in there so it was pretty nasty. the only thing good was that they had those maui potato chips for free and they serve snails. i wanted to order a plate of snails but we were leaving soon. but yeah, i would never come here again and they get one star for the chips.
