I ordered korean black noodle(seafood) $ 8 it wasn’t the best on the island but it was still tasty. korean blood sausage $ 8 the portion is very generous. I also learned they make there own soondea in house which is rare in hawaii. Lastly I ordered baby mandoo $ 5 which was the perfect size for my 3 year old. They also make their mandoo in house and sell it by bag. Im giving this place a 4* based solely on there soondea and mandoo which are both tastey and made in house. I haven’t tried enough on there menu to give them any other criticism. however this rating doesn’t include location and parking. parking is located in the back next to a residential area. The drive way in to the parking lot is immediately after the building, its small and easy to miss. Be sure to park against the chain link fence or u might get towed. Location sucks! Its in a scary part if town. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around the area alone as a young female. the lady working the day I went(I’m assuming is the owner) is very nice and welcoming.

Hmmm, I was looking forward to some delicious Korean food after I Unilocaled BJ on my phone. The restaurant was easy to find thanks to the Unilocal app. However, I was a little sketched out when I parked at their lot. I read that this was a little hole in the wall, so I didn’t expect much. :(the food was as disappointing as the way the restaurant looked :( The kimchi was horrible & the mac salad was a flop. Meat jun was soggy & the sauce accompanying it was bland. Boring + Cheap = BJ

This is one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurant. The food tastes great and they offer very reasonable price(most plate lunches at $ 7). The only drawback is the location. The street in front of the restaurant is not so neat, but it is still worth to get there and be treated with nice food. There is a parking lot behind the building, but it can be tricky to find the way in. You need to get to the end of the building on King st, and there is a small ally to the parking lot behind. I tried most of the dishes, and none of them disappointed me. But my favorites, as a Korean, are Soondae soup(Korean pork sausage soup, spicy), Kam-ga Soup(pork bone stew, spicy), Soondae plate, mandoo, & Korean style manapua(full of azuki bean paste! should try this). For a lunch, any plate on their menu is great. I also found out today that they have kimchee on sale, and I got one!($ 2.50/lb).

I tried few dishes and all of them is a true Korean taste. The best was Jjajang-meyon(Korean-Chinese style noodle with a black-bean source). As a Korean, I’m pretty sure this place serves the most Korean taste!
