Aloha Lomilomi

I’ve been going to Aloha Lomilomi for almost 10 years. Amazing massages and friendly staff keep me coming back. Ask for Kathy or LiAnn. Kathy incorporates energy work into her massages and that makes a real difference. LiAnn does a great facial massage that really helps my TMJ. You’ll be happy with whoever you choose. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

I Loooove (yep, with a capital L) all the ladies of Aloha Lomilomi. They’re located above Hee Hing, a few doors down from Tokkuri Tei. I’ve been going to Melissa for a couple of years now but on occasion, I’ve also gotten lomilomi from the other fantastic women like Kathy and Joelle. They’re all incredibly intuitive and have been able to pinpoint certain stresses in my life without any explanation on my part, doubling as lomi experts and life coaches. I always leave here feeling more centered and motivated, I don’t even bother going to other places anymore.
As the other reviews say, cost is dependent on who you make an appointment with and the nice thing is that they work with your budget (make sure you discuss this ahead of time, don’t be «that person»!). Cash is definitely preferred.

Lomilomi is marketed all over the island, but never have I experienced it as it should be until I met LiAnn. LiAnn has learned the background and techniques of traditional lomilomi from actual Native Hawaiian practitioners and that is what makes this such a special experience. Because she has learned from our kupuna, her connection to the universe is so strong that she can figure what is ailing your body just by feeling your spirit.
On more than one occasion I have had her guess what has been going on in my life that is causing me to be tense, without me saying a word. Because of her gift, I have recieved massages that are more effective in realaxing and actually healing my body. The steam room is a wonderful touch when your body needs it and is always clean as is the rest of the establishment.
I have also had positive experiences with Kaui (I’m not sure if she works there anymore) and Kim.
Aloha Lomilomi has expanded since I met LiAnn in 2004 to include other traditional healing methods such as ear candling; ho‘oponopono; and lomilomi for children, pregnant women, kupuna, as well as lomi facials.
I highly recommend that you try Aloha Lomilomi if you are looking for a true Hawaiian massage experience.

I love it here! I love Melissa the best – she is awesome. All the other therapists there are wonderful too. There is a steam room and shower, which is a nice extra. The facility is clean, comfortable and relaxing. All the therapists practice some kind of traditional Hawaiian Lomilomi and all know their stuff. I always feel very safe here. The cost varies depending on the person you make an appointment with so make sure you ask. I would recommend Melissa, Leanne, or Kathy.
