The turnaround time is really good. Staff are friendly, and the location is conveniently near Times Supermarket!

Friendly workers, items got done in a fast and timely manner. Convinient location, near Kahala Mall. I would definitely use them again.

The gentleman and lady who were working the counter couldn’t have been more pleasant and accommodating. Surprised to see the negative comments about customer service and ruined/lost clothes in the other reviews. A little pricy by compared to mainland prices, but my mother told me to expect that here

My wife and I have been going to Al Phillips for many years, spent thousands of dollars supporting them and yet have been repeatedly abused and treated with disdain by their management(Peggy) On one occasion they lost my dry cleaning,(gave it to someone else) including a suit I had gone to pickup the day before making a trip to New York and the girl at Al Phillips told me I needed to go to other customers house and get it my self! and they still refused to even refund me or discount the dry cleaning. Many items have been destroyed and the management refuses to do anything and we overlooked it because there are just so few dry cleaners in Hawaii. But, no more!!! This place is awful, they know it, and get away with it because in Hawaii there is very little competition for dry cleaning services. Peggy and the management are a joke!

Customer service leaves something to be desired. The woman who took my clothing today gave me no opportunity to answer her question about paying up front for a five percent discount. I hesitated for one moment and she printed the ticket, thereby foreclosing the possibility of paying upfront and saving money. She laughed when I suggested that she wait to hear the customer’s answer before completing a transaction. Never had a problem with clothes being ruined(yet) at this location and there’s usually an internet special for dry cleaning or laundering dress shirts. You must print the current coupon as they will not honor an expired coupon. Also you must present the exact number of items stated on the coupon-one item short, no coupon break on price. When I use a coupon, I always feel I receive fair value for the service provided. Parking is not a problem there are always spots available in the Times Waialae lot. Aloha

I used this place twice after I received a coupon. I don’t think I’ll ever use them again. All my shirts smelled bad. Really bad. The day after I picked them up I asked my wife to smell the shirts, just to make sure I wasn’t crazy and she identified the same bad odor. I tried to put them in the dryer with a dryer sheet and it didn’t work. My wife is furious. I spent about $ 100 getting my stuff dry cleaned. I can’t wear these shirts, I have to get them laundered again. At a different place. I’m not one to go to a business and bitch about their product. I just never go again and I tell others to never go there. And I’m using this forum to advise people: DONOTUSETHISPLACE. Unless you like your shirts to smell like sweaty hairy male armpits. Seriously. I’m not making this up. It was really shocking and disappointing. I still have some of the shirts if you don’t believe me and want to take a whiff yourself. I would really like to hear from other people about this place. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went twice and both times, my shirts smelled real bad. I know, I know, I’m an idiot for going twice.

Really discouraged from coming back. I went in to alter a shirt. I was flexible on the pickup day. The shirt had to be sent to their Ala Moana location. After nearly a week I called to ask if my shirt was ready. The lady that answered said it was ready. It was not. Going in, she said the shirt was rejected and no alterations could be made. A simple phone called could have saved me a lot of time. I understand that they are understaffed and the service showed.

Super disappointing. My clothes had a heavy chemical smell so I took it back and asked them to fix it. When I picked up my clothes the second time, the smell was still there, albeit slightly less strong. I’ve given up on having them fix it and am going to try other remedies to take care of it myself(or use another dry cleaning service). Used to go to Al Phillips without hesitating… now I am thinking the slightly higher prices at places like Hakuyosha are well worth it. Seeing as they couldn’t even get the smell out the second time, I am thinking this is the last time i go there. Disappointing.
