I probably would have never found this place if I hadn’t seen it on Unilocal first! It is a small, charming barbershop on 8th ave located mauka of the Rainbow liquor store. I had high hopes after reading other reviews and it was definitely the most quality haircut I’ve had in years. I told her I wanted something new and to «have fun with it»
Not only did Tina do an outstanding fade but she was also super fast and careful! I was done in under 15 minutes feeling very satisfied

As others have mentioned, this place is an excellent place for a haircut! Tina is quick, very reasonable, and always does a good job. They recently remodeled the interior, and it looks nice and clean. They are open 7 days a week so it’s always very easy to get in without an appointment. Thank you Tina!

Just like the others, I’ve only had great haircuts here. She is very talented because she can accomplish in 15 min what takes others twice as long or even longer. I also like hat fact she takes walk-​ins. Last couple of times I just called Tina and asked if I could come in right at that moment and both times I was able to. She told me she opens 6.5 days a week so that her clients rarely have to wait in line for her. Highest possible recommendation!

Have to agree with the others. Tina did a great job I don’t think I have a faster haircut ever! makes me wonder about why other stylists take as long. I have normally paid 50 – 100 bucks for a cut at $ 13 she is doing her self a big disservice! Hope nobody tells her haha!!! I was in and out in 10 to 15 minutes amazing!

Yes, very good! Found this place on Unilocal when I needed a haircut after I moved to the neighborhood. The owner is friendly and attractive and does an excellent job; what more could you want? Very cheap, too! She also gives a nice neck massage before setting you free with your new haircut… this is where I go.

Going to salons as a guy can get pretty pricey, the average cost for a men’s haircut is about $ 35 at most well rated salons. At 8th Avenue Barber Shop, I will be able to (almost) get 3 haircuts for the price of one. At $ 13 a pop, I’m satisfied both by the resulting haircut as well as by the savings to my wallet.
This was my first time here and I am sure after a few more visits Tina will know exactly how my hair grows to perfect my style. No hassles, no overly chattiness and no wasting a customer’s time. I was in and out in under 20 minutes and didn’t have to go back home to trim missed hairs.

I have to concur with what everyone else is saying here. In. Out. Bingo, bango, bongo. Done. The price is right. As an Asian dude, getting the post-​cut wash & neck rub is a pleasant norm. Hopefully this review does not contribute to more people gittin their hair did here…

Just as Wade H.‘s review noted, this place is quick and accurate. Tina did a great job in giving me a good clean cut. I have been to places all over the island and California, and I have found my go to place. Great place!

Great place for a quick no nonsense haircut. I was in and out in 15 minutes and my hair looked great. Owner Tina, is very personable and caring. My grandfather always cuts his hair here too and loves how fast and accurate she is with the sheers. Love the neck massage she gives after the haircut too! Bottom line, if you want a quick, cheap, and precise haircut go there. She does women’s hair too as she has worked in various salons throughout Hawaii, and finally settling down with her own business. Great local, growing business to support!

tina was absolutely the best hairstylist i have ever gone to! she gave me the best haircut i ever had and her personality was also a bessing!!! i would highly suggest her services if you want the best!!!
