Great event for the entire family! This was definitely a «Fun Run.» The planners of this event did an excellent job tailoring this run«just 4 keikis.» At the start line, Augie T. and other invited guest provided the keikis with a pep talk about getting fit and healthy. They also had characters such as Lani Moo, Dr. Health E. Hound and Ronald Mc Donald do warm up exercises with the keikis before the run. I thought this was a fun way to get the keikis excited and pumped up for the run. They were also at the start/finish lines to offer high fives and encouragement. The run was 2 miles long around the block of the Neal Blaisdell Center. This was«just right» for the keikis. My daughter was able to do it in about 20 minutes. At the end of the run, we were given a re-usable shopping bag filled with a nutrtrious breakfast that included: a banana, yogurt, clementines juice bottle, Tru Moo chocolate milk, chocolate brownie kid’s cliff bar and a cute stuffed animal of Dr. Health E. Hound. Then, we were able to choose a clementine, bag of apples or Go– Gurt from Mc Donald’s. My family enjoyed this scrumptious and heathy breakfast. Thank you… KGAR planners! Another added bonus, we were able to visit the Great Aloha Run Expo for free while we were there. So cool, my husband was able to pick up his GAR packet for Monday’s run. Good luck, Honey! This wonderfully planned event inspired my daughter to do next years run and many more this year. Thank you KGAR planners for inspiring my daughter to get fit and to lead a healthy life! I know you have touched many, many, many more keikis in Hawaii with this annual run. Let’s inspire more keikis for 2016 ! Imua!
