Pinecrest bake has a delicious selection of pastries. That being said their service is horrid. All the ladies behind the counter are much more preoccupied with gossiping and showing each other Facebook posts than attending customers.

They don’t greet you and they have plenty of people working. It’s like the customer is bothering them. I hate coming but like the food and coffee.

Worst customer service of every Pinecrest Bakery I’ve ever been to. This is the 3rd time I’ve walked out due to never getting serviced at all. The only time they did anything for me was only after I very loudly asked to be helped because FIVE different employees couldn’t assist me. They had no shame in looking directly at me without acknowledging me and simply continuing on what they were doing(stocking sodas, cleaning, etc.). I’m sorry but even if I wasn’t in the restaurant business I’d still be smart enough to know that the customer is priority #1, not all your side work you can do when there’s nobody there. Today, at 6:30 pm I walked inside and there was one employee in the front. She was clearly busy making sandwiches but refused to look up at all at me or any of the other 7 guests that scattered in over the 15 minutes that I stood waiting there. You could also clearly see through the window that in the back there were at least 3 or 4 other employees doing miscellaneous kitchen prep but not one of them in the front of the restaurant ?? What’s the point of all that if you have nobody out front to sell the product?! Unbelievable. One lady in line behind me asked the sandwich maker if anyone was gonna help us and all she said was«I’m sorry I’ll help you once I’m done» Seriously? After pretending you didn’t know any of us where there that’s all you can give us? I’ve learned my lesson I won’t be returning. I’m sure plenty others feel the same.

Loved this place! Great service, great hours, and fresh sweets and delicious coffee. Wish they had a bigger nicer seating area but great little place to get croquettas and pastelitos for a Sunday morning or a party.

This place is awesome! Warning… do not come here hungry or you’ll want to try evetthing. I order birthday cakes from here… flan-cheesecake! I’m loved at work for it. The service is always happy and friendly… priceless! They serve well priced sandwiches that are very good and the cuban coffee is delicious! The only drawback is seating. Tables are in a row along the wall like an after thought. Functional but not cozy. Favorites are pan de Bono(colombian cheese bread) pastel de guava con queso and the empanadas. They have something like 8 different empanadas. Hope you enjoy!

Super leckeres Sandwich, sehr empfehlenswert.

I go here a lot I absolutely love everything they make here. The food is soooooooo good! The girls behind the counter barely speak English and the seating is minimal but for the price you pay and the quantity of food you get worth coming.

Nice little bakery with seating. Staff is friendly and understands enough English! An awesome plus because language barrier is usually what keeps me away from this type of bakery. I recommend the spinach pastry and guava/cheese pastry. I prefer them at home because I can re-toast them a little to make them a little crispy on the outside. Fresh-squeezed OJ also delicious. They get pretty busy at certain hours so the wait can be long at times but overall very glad to have this place close by!

Pleasantly surprised at the quality & fantastic Cuban pastries. Vast menu offers other options, sandwiches, pastries. The name was deceiving having grown up in Little Havana, Pinecrest has a snooty, upscale rep, so due to convenience we tried it. Service is equally as good as food. I’m rating Homestead location.

Pinecrest Bakery is a great bakery that has a variation of different pastries. It’s a great place if you just want to go, eat a croissant, drink some coffee, and the leave. They have cakes that you can pre-order and different Latin American pastries both sweet and salty. If you to Pinecrest Bakery, then remember that most if the people there speak mostly Spanish.

Oye acere… Prepárate de hablar español(hi friend… Prepare to speak Spanish)! I would have given it 3.5 stars but I can’t give half stars so I rounded up my review. I prefer my Cuban bakeries in Miami, but now that I’m residing in homestead Pinecrest Bakery is as good as it gets in Homestead. If you are familiar with the Cuban culture then you know they LOVE to talk, take their time and their pastries are AMAZINGLYDELICIOSO! Pinecrest Bakery has the slowest service EVER! Make sure to grab a number and have your ears open and find an open spot in the small bakery to stand post until your number is called. They had four ladies working but it took 15 minutes for us to order. We ordered ham croquetas, 2 pastelitos de queso(cheese pastries), a tequeño de guava y queso(cheese and guava roll) and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was good. I have had better pastelitos de queso but these were different. They didn’t taste fresh and the type of puff pastery crust they make has a different taste then the pastelitos from good Miami bakeries but, nonetheless it was okay. Prices were comparable to other bakeries and what I like is they offer a great variety of party trays and cakes for parties at economical prices. Next time I’ll be trying some of their breakfast items. They offered great breakfast options at great prices. eggs, Cuban toast, sausage or bacon with a coffee for $ 4.50. The Bakery was super clean and rocked a chandelier cool enough to be in a spiffy celeb house! Overall, it was a good experience and I think I found myself my neighborhood Cuban Panadería! Woot woot!

I think that today, absent any suggestion that it’s unreasonable(like if the sign says«panaderia»), I have decided to patronize only places that have English speaking customer-facing staff. I don’t go to bakeries that often, so I can’t rightly compare this place to others. I can tell you that no one has ever spoken a word of English to me. I would definitely go back if the owner hired someone that can speak reasonable English. Also, they have an awesome chandelier.

Staff is awesome. I came in once and they remembered me the second time. Food is great and prices are good. The coffee is delicious and their sandwiches too. It gets a little crowded which is a good thing for them. Well worth the wait.

Service is slooooooooooooow. Even with 4 girls working back there at times, its a cluster. Forget about ordering breakfast. It will take over half an hour to get it. The place is clean and in a good location. The food is good but it just takes an unreasonable time to get any item and be rung up at the register. When you compare the speed a normal cafeteria window takes to get you a colada and this place, you will be rolling your eyes in the line waiting.

When they first opened their desserts were delicious. Today I bought couple of desserts and some of them had some watery liquid at the bottom. I think it was sugar mixed with water to keep the dessert moisture. It made the bottom soggy. I was very disappointed.

Glad I found this place! It’s so much better than the Cuban bakery we normally go to. It is super clean and they have a big variety of pastries, croquettes and juices to choose from! The pineapple juice was very fresh and delicious, and the patries and empanadas taste just as good as you’d expect them too at any other place. The prices are low. I will definitely be back here when I am in the mood for cuban pastries.
