The food was great! Try it on a Sunday afternoon. It was not busy, service was very good and the food great! My husband fell in love with the Greek potatoes and braised lamb. It was very good and will go back soon.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting our daughter in Hollywood. Service was excellent and the restaurant was a very nice place to eat and visit. The Octopus app was delicious as well as everything else we ordered. The Uzojito was so good we all ordered two. We will return the next time in Hollywood.

I saw some positive reviews and wanted to try this establishment. I enjoy Greek food and figured It would be good. I went on a Thursday evening and they were 3 other small occupied tables. The rest of the restaurant was empty. I ordered the Calamaris and the Chicken Souvlaki Pita platter. Calamaris The Calamaris were bland. Their batter was flavorless and they tasted old. I thought I would improve the taste by dipping them in some Tzatziki but It did not help. Its garlic overpowered the cucumber and the yogurt. It just added an even more sluggish essence to it. Kind of like watching a World Championship Title Boxing fight, when both boxers are super defensive in their approach and rely solely on points to win. Chicken Souvlaki Pita platter When It came(see picture), it looked consistent and full of ingredients. When I opened it(see other picture), I realized that they were 3 small pieces of chicken and the rest was a mixture of onions, tomatoes and Tzatziki sauce(most likely around 300 ml of it). Mind you, I love those 3 things but I found the presentation to be rather deceitful. I got the truffle fries and the whole thing tasted average. They also charge $ 1.45 for a small cup of Tzatziki, I understand that Greece is going through an economic downturn but monetary restoration is not attained by charging $ 1.45 extra to get a Tzatziki cup that would not satiate a Hummingbird. Service Also, what did not contribute to the experience is the Waitress that I had. I asked some questions about the menu, she looked bored, uninterested and not professional. Bottom line, I will not return. A very disappointing experience.

I have eaten here multiple times and find that I’m amazed at how consistently good the food is here. I used to go when the restaurant was on Harrison. The octopus appetizer is really good and tender. The gyros and salads are excellent as well. My wife and I find that the two of us can split a two gyro platter and still not be able to finish it. I have always had good service here as well. I live in downtown Hollywood and can always depend on this place. Quite a nice wine and beer selection.

Very understaffed. Our waiter was very nice but he was missing a lot. It was our 12th wedding anniversary and we decided to have a quiet dinner there for the first time. We ordered the spicy fetta app and it came with 6 tiny wedges of thin pita. I asked the guy who ran out the second app for our waiter if we could have more pita. He never came back. 15 mins later I’m looking for our waiter, I don’t see him. I had to go in and find him. Canceled my salad because it’s been soooo long and tell him we were waiting for pita we never got. I must have been asked 5 times after that if I was sure I didn’t want my salad or if I want to take it home… No! Please stop. He finally brings us another 6 tiny thin wedges of pita. My husbands food still hadn’t arrived. A lot of waiting. Finally his food comes and the pita is DRENCHED in sauce. 3 pieces of chicken he had to spit out(yuck). the server said he’d bring salad dressing(salad was dry, waiter prompted that he’d bring dressing) … Never did. He actually had the nerve to charge us for the pita we waited almost 25 mins for! We took baklava to go and got out of there. Baklava wasn’t fresh, I’m a huge fan… I know my baklava… not great. We DEFINITELY won’t be back. Really ruined our anniversary.

We were big fans of the Greek Joint in its prior location. This location is nice and big with a lot of tables. They have a variety of items on the menu, something for everyone. The salads are fresh, and the food good. The service has also been good. The restaurant has a nice, classy feeling. There was an art showing with beautiful paintings last time we were there. We are probably putting this in our rotation of standard restaurants. For downtown Hollywood which has a lot of lackluster food, this is pretty good.

Consistently great, and authentic Greek food. Must try their kabab platters(filet miñon or chicken), lemon potatoes and their Greek salad. Dip platters are ok, and galaktoburico dessert will not let you down.

This place is average in every aspect. The food was very average and somewhat bland. The service wasn’t great indicated by the fact that we had to ask the server for bread. He replied that he was going to bring it out when our food came out. I’m not sure if that really means he was going to bring the bread out when the food came out or he just forgot to bring it out beforehand. The refills did come albeit kind of slow. The food took an unusually long time and they weren’t that busy. I ordered the chicken kabob and to my surprise, I only received one kabob. At most greek restaurants, you will get two kabobs. The rice was ok and they give you a salad as well. I would have liked the salad to come out before the meal although that wasn’t a big deal. With all of the other restaurants to try in this area, I doubt I’ll eat here again.

I ate here maybe two years ago and never wrote a review. When I went back on Unilocal to see what I ordered I noticed I never left a review so we went again Friday night. First service is a little slow a bug was in my water I asked for a new glass and the guy returned with the same bug. I just walked to the bar and left the glass I didn’t even want it on the table. Now onto to food we started with the sganaki the melted cheese which was very good $ 7.95 and also a hummus $ 5.95 which was good and the pita tasted fresh. I ordered the chicken kebob for my main meal and the rice was blah mushy wet and not like greek rice should taste. The food far from amazing, but service could be better.

Love this place. Recommended by a friend, I’m really glad to have found a good Greek restaurant that’s not too far from home. I’m a creature of habit and always get the natural, lemon-roasted ½ chicken entrée, which is truly delicious. I hate dry chicken and this is anything but. It is always very moist and roasted perfectly. And it’s huge, for the price($ 13.99). Definitely 2 meals. They serve it with their very yummy lemon potato wedges and a ramekin of the lemon/oil/herb au jus it’s cooked in, for dipping. So, so good. For apps, always get the hummus and ask for extra pita, for a $ 1 more. Totally worth it. The spanakopita and Greek salad are delish, too. My family has really enjoyed their stuffed peppers, spicy Greek burger, Moussaka(Greek lasagna), and many other dishes. Service is a little slow, since many items are made to order, including the hummus, but the wait is worth it. Their servers are always kind and knowledgeable.

While at this resturant my food was brought to my table uncooked. I ordered the lemon chicken looked awesome until I cut into it and the meat was bloody. I then alerted my server, of the issue with my food she said she would take it back and have them cook it some more for me. The manager chris then comes to my table and tells me that, it’s impossible for my chicken to be bloody because of the fact that they prepared it two hours prior to the warm up of the order. I then asked did he see the plate with the blood on it, he says he was not here to argue with me and said if they cook it, it will still have a red color to it because it was the color of the part of the chicken which was the dark meat.(Me blank stare) I asked for my check and his name and the name of the owner! The table in front of us sent two plates back and no manager came to that table. I’m not sure what type of service is given to, customers but I’m certain pleasant and satisfactory won’t make the list here! Horrible experience… complaining in the morning I feel I was singeled out then degraded in front of customers…

Was looking forward to go back to that restaurant. Today I was in the area and we decided to try it again. What a disappointment, my wine came in a very small cheap glass, and my Cesar salad was the worst I ever had. Th dressing was just ok, the lettuce was cut in very small pieces, and serve with tiny little croutons that was tasteless. One of the worst lunch I had in a long time. The best part of it was the hot bread they gave us as we waited for our meal. It was very good.

My boyfriend and I were driving along and I saw this restaurant out of the corner of my eye. I love Greek food and have travelled to a couple areas in Greece also. We decided to try it out. We sat at the bar, shortly after realized if you sit at the bar you get the happy hour deal! We were greeted by Dennis the bartender whom was very pleasant. We decided on a few items(Greek salad, poutine, ribs, and the shrimp saganaki) to be honest all items were amazing!!! I can’t wait to come back! The poutine is a Canadian dish and being Canadian myself I had to have it! Sooooo delicious!!! The Greek salad reminded me of the one I get at milos but for less than half the price. Every dish and the time we spent was great! I would definitely make the trip to come here again!

Had a great lunch here today. Food was great. Had the pita plate. Bathroom was clean. Everybody were very pleasant . I can say the place could use some update. But I guess the price would also go up as now we get great affordable food. Look forward to go back, and I am very fussy eater, and like to cook Job well done.

Pam’s Pita is a big hit. The menu needs more vegetarian options. The vegetarian pita doesn’t cut it. The restaurant is located in a good location and they deliver.

The salad is very good and they do not skimp on the feta. Pita is fresh, so is the hummus and the tzatziki sauce is very good. The chicken and kabobs are nicely seasoned and pairs well with the rice. My favorite part was the spanakopita, I love spinach and this thing was packed with it, probably the best I have ever had.

I knew I enjoyed Greek food but this place not only serves your favorites but also has some really fun spins on the classic putting them ahead of the game! They had some good lunch specials I had the chicken pita with fries. Great sized portion my only complaint was I wish the tzatziki sauce was all over only because I love it so much! Skinny fries are my favorite and they were lightly dusted with herbs. I saw the dip platter and it looked divine! A sample of hummus, tzatziki and tiokaferi with pita. The Greek salad was very nice and I just had to make room for dessert! I opted for the baklava cheesecake because well I enjoy baklava and I love cheesecake! Worth the try, thanks for my server! Is love to come back for the Greek burger it smelled so good!

I was surprised at the lack of lamb/red meat for a Greek restaurant. The restaurant was not very busy for a Saturday night, which was sad! I am sure it would help with ambiance. The food we had was pretty good. The grilled octopus, as in previous reviews stated, was great. Chicken kebabs were good, they give you ample salad on the side! Baklava was good. The bartender was great, our server tried very hard which was nice, but often interrupted when we were mid conversation just to ask if were ok. All in all pretty good.

Great Greek Food! The place itself is a nice place to sit down and eat, while the food is also great. The menu is kind of confusing when ordering(«One order of two pitas,» for example). Was pleased with service.

Got some food to go. The waiters were friendly and gave us water while we waited. I got the octopus, while my bf got the spicy greek burger and his roomie got the cheeseburger(yea he’s weird like that). I was quite disappointed with the octopus. For $ 15 I was expecting a much larger portion even though it was an appetizer. I’ve had better for cheaper and got more. Taste-wise it was fine, but a little burnt. The burgers were cooked unevenly, with some parts being crunchy and others being more raw. The parts that were cooked correctly were good, but that could’ve just been in comparison to the over/undercooked parts and the hunger. Overall, I’d be up for trying this place again, but not before trying other restaurants.

I was a fan of the first location and am a bigger fan of this location, here’s why: * Same Great Food! * Larger footprint with indoor, lounge, covered outdoor, and exposed outdoor seating! * Full. Liquor. Bar. With premium drinks to choose from! * Lotsa Craft Beers! * Family run buy two brothers, Jimmy and Chris * Great service! * Recently remodeled. Some of my favorite menu items: * Greek Rib Appetizer * Grilled Octopus * Spicy Feta Burger * Fava Spread with warm Pita! * Filet Mignon Kebabs * Greek Style Bruschetta * Greek Style Pork Chops with Mixed Veggies. * Feta Crusted Salmon! Every different meat /protein is marinated in its own, secret marinade. Good stuff, my favorite restaurant in Hollywood! Cabeza OPA!

It was hard to figure where a review for a Greek place that’s pretty solid in some areas, stands when they purposely use pork instead of lamb in the gyro. That’s right, odd right? We ordered from here today and received some excellent food in a timely manner. The baklava was very fresh, and very flakey. Incredible I dare say. The stuffed yellow peppers were quite good. Not the best I have had but solid. But beyond all that, what is a staple of the Greek region and the soul of Greek-American food? Lamb, and pita bread. So yes I was surprised when I was told they use pork instead. When I rebutted they said it was better their way. We said we would give it a shot this time(we were already ordering). No, obviously not the same. We spent the rest of the meal debating how important to a Greek place was this strange decision. The fact they went with pork seemed even odder. I would say try it knowing the quick that lies within

Fresh! I ordered one of the dips, I can’t remember the name but I believe it was a split pea type of dip and it was delicious with the red onion garnish, plus they give you a ton! Only down side is you have to spend $ 1.25 for additional pitas, which you’ll need. The greek salad is wonderful and very fresh, the greek caprese salad was shared by the guests at the bar next to me and they raved about it. The bartender, Thomas, was also very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu — he provided great service. It’s a nice, easy, casual spot with a bar and good food — can’t really beat that. Only gave 5 stars because they don’t have happy hour drink specials which makes it hard to compete with the competition on either side of them who do.

Now I know why this is one of my hubby’s favorite lunch spots(as well as my Unilocal buddy, Steve). Ask him what he wants for lunch over the past 8+ months, it’ll always be the same thing. I protested, probably because of the loss of the prior New Orleans venue that had me hooked, «The Big Easy». Same owner. Different restaurant.(Why o why???). The name of the restaurant also gave me the impression of a fast food dive, which I’m really not into if I’m going to eat Greek. But, today I succumbed to the suggestion for a lunch meet up with some friends. Good thing. Lunch was fresh and delicious. I don’t usually jump to Unilocal, but I felt I had to give it up here because I was such an objector. I’ll have to come again, maybe for dinner.

Came for my father in laws Birthday Dinner. I had been at the old Greek Joint that was on the other street, they expanded and moved to busy Hollywood Blvd where it’s near impossible to park without stopping traffic for a bit. The family all loves Greek food so we agreed to eat here. We found a table outside near the Christmas light strung trees, and trees were light up down the whole street, it was nice. The server was quick to bring menus and we quickly ordered the hummus app, he recommended the Trio appetizer and we ordered the trio instead. It was hummus, tzatziki, and a feta topping each in a radicchio leaf and topped with an olive. I believe there was one warm pita total cut into triangles, So I asked for more bread, they brought out the house white bread, it was warm and crunchy. *Pita costs extra The Hummus was creamy and fresh, the Tzatziki good garlic yogurt taste, and Tirokafteri with chunks of Feta were yum. We ordered the grilled Octopus. It comes out two tentacles, well grilled, very tender cooked perfectly with seasoning and olive oil, lemon wedge on plate. My father in law cut up the tentacles into pieces and some pieces were even better than previous bites I loved it so much. I ordered the two Chicken Skewers platter. Comes with fries, salad. I was full from the apps I was only able to eat one juicy grilled skewer and the salad; chopped romaine and tomatoes, red onion, Greek vinaigrette on the side which was oil and herbs. The fries were frozen kind less desirable. They looked like McDonald’s fries, light in color, low in crisp factor, and salty — I love real fried potatoes, is it that hard? My husband and parents ordered the two Gyro Pita platter. Two gyro pitas with the same sides as me(salad and fries). The gyro was on the mushy side, more like a hamburger, less-like the grilled gyro meat we are used to. They top the pita with lettuce, onions, tomato and tzatziki. Parents split the two Gyro platter, and didn’t seem impressed either. Great service, the food runners were professional too. I would order double salad or rice next time –not fries. The Greek appetizers and octopus are winners, Skewers are a good choice to make, always made it right. 3 ½ stars till the fries and gyro change

This is a plea to my Unilocal friends in the area… please recommend some really good places in the Hollywood area(they have to be appropriate for kids and Grandma!). Tried the Greek Joint tonight while in Hollywood visiting my Mom tonight and it really missed the mark. We started with two orders of Greek Meatballs which were tasty but they were overcooked and very salty. My Mother and I had the Chicken Souvlaki Pita Platter($ 10.95). This comes with a small Greek Salad and Fries. Both of us got extra salad instead of the fries. I found the chicken to be a ltlle dry and pretty bland, although I did like the pita. The salad was quite fresh. Husband had the fish special of the day which was snapper. For the price(approximately $ 24), it was a very small portion. It also had very little seasoning and was overcooked. 11 year old had a cheeseburger($ 9.95): Burned on the outside, it was very difficult to eat. 10 year old had two appetizers for his meal. Both the Shrimp Saganaki($ 11.95) and Greek Sausage had very strong flavors. The sauce with the shrimp was too acidic and the cheese was way to make it enjoyable. I have to say the service here was a pleasure. Our server was extremely courteous and attempted to attend to all of our needs promptly. It is too bad she couldn’t change the taste of the food! 10 year old(the Next Generation Unilocaler) gives this place a 1 star rating. I stand by two and a half stars. It was not really good, but not terrible and the service was very good. Yet in all good faith I could not go up to a three star rating because when I truly thought about it and was honest with myself, I had absolutely no desire to return here to even give The Greek Joint another shot.
