Neil’s Jamaican Restaurant

For great Jamaican food, Neil’s the place to go. Excellent red peas soup, fish and curry chicken. Friendly people & great tasting food.

There are so many Jamaican restaurants in this area now, they all get lost. I saw Neil’s Jamaican which was very nondescript front with pizza (weird combo) and take out only. Nothing blinking «eat here» as an indicator.
Glad I ignored all the signs that said «don’t eat here» as it was one of the best freakin Jamaican food I had in some time. I ordered their ox tails, and could not believe how tasty they were. Tender and roasted perfectly. I was so sad when I finished them that I actually got a spoon and slurped up the sauce, it was that good. Tasty, peppery and with bits of ox tail. Wow, I could have eaten the sauce as soup.
Anyways, that was soooo good, and my desire was not satisfied, that I went and ordered another plate just to see if the first order was a fluke. Thankfully, nope.
When you see this place alarms will go off saying «don’t eat there.» Ignore them, push through the urge to leave and try this gem. You won’t be disappointed!
