I had an awful and disturbing experience with the fellow who runs this shady company. He did put my Malibu property on AirBnB without my approval to lure visitors. He still features my property with my own pictures without my consent. He uses several websites with similar domain names, so be careful.

MAY THE BUYER (RENTER) BEWARE!!! NEGATIVE 5 STAR REVIEW. And to my fellow Jews, do not trust the snake oil salesman from Israel, Mordi. There really is no reason to write a full review with all of my complaints. JUST DON’T DO IT!

I rented a house from Malibu Venues/​Mordi for my wedding the summer of 2014. I paid the almost $ 15k fee in full January 2014 months before the actual event. Mordi allowed us to view the venue and plan out wedding details every so often — in fact, we were all under the pretense that he was the owner of the property up until the week of the wedding.
That is when the actual property owner called my wedding planner stating she had not received the money and that we would not be able to use ¹⁄₃ of the 3 acre property. I had spent months working with my rental company to use this particular area for our reception dinner. Not only did we have to change the entire layout of the wedding 9 days prior to the big day, but we had to deal with an upset ‘correct’ owner.
Things went wrong: Lights down the stairs that Mordi said would be on did not work. He told us that we could go in the pool; however, we got yelled at by the correct owner for doing so. He said that we could do a rehearsal the afternoon prior, but the real owner came out yelling saying she charges more for this. There were debacles throughout the day. I am just glad that no matter what we stayed positive and it was a gorgeous day.
I have been waiting to write this review since the madness did not end after the wedding. It took weeks of phone calls and emails to Mordi to receive our $ 3k deposit back. He had excuse after excuse: I was on vacation, my staff mailed the check but maybe the wrong address, I already mailed it-​have you not received it? Finally on Halloween 10 WEEKS after the wedding, we received our deposit back.
This was beyond frustrating and neither me or my wedding planner will recommend anyone to work with Malibu Venues and Mordi. Yes, the private estate was gorgeous and the day was once in a lifetime; however, it was not worth the money and hassle that goes along with working with this ‘company’.

Mr. Mordechai Orian and I finally had our day in court and I am happy to report the judge ruled 100% in my favor. Mr. Orian has to return my full deposit, $ 2000, plus $ 250 in expenses that I incurred to take him to small claims.

I’m not going to waste my time leaving a review. All I will say is I hope no one ever ever goes thru these brokers. A. They sent us pictures of a different house. We arrived to a complete different house than expected B. They refuse to return our $ 5000 deposit for no reason! I just can’t get over this! I’ve never seen mistreatment as such. I hope to see him in court soon.

In September we made arrangements to rent a mansion in Malibu (for May 2014). Mordi was very congenial and welcomed our questions and concerns. We made arrangements to see the venue in October and gave a deposit of $ 2000.00. As it turns out, the promised pools have not been completed, and the rates that were quoted then are not at all what they are now. We received this news in late February when I contacted Mordi to confirm our plans. He offered to find us other accommodations or to refund our $ 2000.00 deposit. We chose the refund and have been waiting patiently for the money. We have been in contact with Mordi many times and have been promised three times that the money has been sent — reassured that he would overnight it. We still do not have the money. I am trying to be optimistic and check the mail daily — but no check. Please Mordi, return the money.

If I could give these guys negative stars I would–
My advice, stay far away! I rented this house in Malibu for $ 2800 for one night over the Thanksgiving holiday. When we arrived at 5PM the nightmare started. First they promised its sleeps 8, not a shot. At most it slept 5. They promised a grill– the owner Mordi, brought it by in a box at about 9PM that night and asked us to assemble it. Thanks Mordi! The frig was packed with his stuff leaving us no room for our Thanksgiving meal. The house was a mess and not at all as the pictures described. The best part was he made us buy an insurance policy, which we did.
A month after we checked out, he emailed me saying there was damage to the house. A MONTH LATER!!! And the damage was a scratch on the floor, cigarette butts outside, a stain on the rug, and a chip in the bathroom tile. After numerous phone calls, Mordi told me he would not refund my $ 2070 deposit until he worked out a deal with the insurance company. In my opinion, until he figured out a way to scam the insurance company.
I asked Mordi to give me the inspection report before and after and still nothing.
This guy and the company are BAD news– he is a complete RIP OFF and very shady.
