the bartender was a total dickhead, aside from not keeping his eyes off my date, when i gave him my credit card he said it didn’t work, so i went to atm, he made me leave my girl and my cell phone, when i got back with the cash, he was still rude, we left, sure enough, when i get home, my card was also charged, fuck this place!!!

This place is beyond terrible! My boyfriend paid with his credit card & they charged him $ 127 when our bill was $ 33. I’m amazed at the audacity they have to just blatantly steal from their customers! From the looks of their Unilocal reviews they seem to be stealing from a lot of people. So disgusted! Fuck this place & their weak ass bartenders!

OVERCHARGED! Watch your bank statements. The bartender gave a very generous 60% tip to himself. I am seeing this is happening to other people, too. FRAUD. Contest the charges with your banks and call the Better Business Bureau! FYI: I found them on the County of LA Public Health website, and based on their last inspection in January, their FAX number is 323−467−3026, for those of you that want to send them a piece of your mind and can’t locate a working phone number! I recommend that those of you that saw cockroaches take pics and call the Public Health people and have this place shut down. Enjoy.

OVERCHARGED!!! I was here on Friday 4÷22÷16. There was only 1 bartender, the Hispanic dude. Our tab was $ 62, we gave a $ 10 tip so $ 72 right? BUT the owner/bartender decided to add an additional $ 10 tip so our debit card was charged $ 82 instead of $ 72! What a bunch of crooks! This obviously happens a lot here if you read the Unilocal reviews!

It was a slow Wednesday night and I only came here because I was visiting friends and they wanted to come here for cheap drinks. The thing that first turned me off was that I saw cockroaches scurrying across the wall. The second turnoff was the awful bartender. I asked for a kamikaze with bourbon shot and she left the bar, presumably, to ask someone how to make a kamikaze. She proceeded to make a kamikaze DRINK with vodka. I didn’t want to say anything because she obviously had no idea what she was doing. A few days later I looked at my credit card statement and found that she gave herself an extra $ 5. I know this because I had a feeling she would do that and took a picture of my signed receipt.

Not bad for a small place. It’s pretty dark. Reminds me of a goth place. Can’t go wrong with $ 3 beers on selected drinks. Definitely can’t go wrong with $ 5 Patron, Don Julio and Jameson shots. Especially on a weekend night. They had a DJ spinning some good hip-hop tracks on a Saturday night. DJ was up in the cut which was pretty dope. May have to keep this place a secret!

I was overcharged. Whoever is processing the transactions is adding more money to the tips. DONOTGOHERE!!! I will look into taking legal action.

I was charged $ 40 on a $ 25 tab and the phone number posted is not accurate. Very shady…

I came here a few years ago and was completely surprised at the décor inside. Looking at the façade of the club, you’d never know that it would have the beautifully gilded(and very high) ceiling. The bar itself is also beautifully decorated. It almost looked like it was a throwback to the old Hollywood from the 30s and 40s. Glitz and glam. The bartender was cool. I do remember that as well as the cheap prices. What I love is that there is a dark almost romantic and chill ambiance in here which is rare on the Hollywood Blvd. Strip. It’s good for couples, singles, and small groups.

Surrounded by what arguably could be the worst bars in Hollywood this place doesn’t have the look at me pizzaz which I find annoying which is something about this place I actually love. It’s got a laid back dark ambiance, which is actually a quality on this block. Unfortunately in all the times I’ve been here it was really slow and I didn’t really stay that long. But it is a great refuge from the annoyances of Cabo Cantina and Rusty Mullet.

2 stars because the security gaurd was really cool… not sure what stick went up the bartenders butt when I asked why it says there closed on Unilocal and why he tripped on my boyfriend and told me as I was walking out he wouldn’t blame me if I dumped him? Not sure if he wanted my boyfriend or hated me but no wonder this bar is EMPTY…

This bar is excellent if you want a cool place to chill and meet new people. The bartenders are good and friendly. It’s good for couples and singles. The prices are good too. I met some great people the first time there, and I’ll go back. I know bars all over the country, and this is a good one.

Who kicks a person out for ordering water? These assholes that’s who. I normally decide whether I want to stay before investing in a drink, and grab a water first. Not 5 minutes after I passed on their«bottle only» deal I was told to leave. I’m amazed this could have happened, and will be avoiding this hole from now on.

This place is pretty much the only spot I will voluntarily go to because it is THAT awesome. It’s easy to walk past since it’s right next to Supper Club but that would be a mistake. Great music. Great vibe. Affordable drinks. I always have a great time there bc it’s so not«Hollywood». Highly recommended.

Hidden Secret Gem of Hollywood! Stumbled into this place with my friends after passing Supper Club. Boy were we in for a treat. $ 3 Modelos & $ 5 shots of Patrone; what a bargai! Music is better than most clubs out here and the wings are to die for! I usually come here to pregame but usually end up staying the entire night since it’s great!

Are you f’@#ing serious??? I like completely empty bars because they normally are cool to any patrons they get. This place had nothing they advertised. And when I went to leave they gave me some attitude about using a card on the beer I didn’t really want. You want two more to get our cc minimum? Nope! How ’bout a lap dance because you sure ain’t bartending. Do you know I have been up since 4am and I just wanted some dinner… not Bang Bang Pow Pow gangsta rap in an empty and fully unstocked bar. Thanks for making me feel like I was worse off than this place… at least the Dj, who didn’t need to be there, was still to save me from digging through my bag for a quarter like a homeless person. Its illegal to have a cc minimum by the way. Won’t be back.

First off I have nothing bad to say about this place, Im only giving it 4 stars because Personally theres a couple places on the street that I would prefer to spend my night(keep reading to find out which ones) :) L’Scorpion is fun its actually allot of fun, the bartenders are nice and pretty quick the bouncer Bobby is my favorite part of that bar though! lol yes the bouncer, the first person you talk to, the last person you say bye to :) He’s so sweet and remembered me after my FIRST time going there, granted i might have left a slightly embarrassing impression, I would remember me to but he’s so sweet! Back to the actual business, the place at first just looking in from outside looks extremely tiny like literally a bar, seats to sit at the bar and maybe two bodies before hitting the wall behind you. reason being I never came here allot. I met the DJ they used to have on Thursdays and of course I had to check it out. Still wasn’t a huge fan but when you go past the bar there is actual booths, a nice big stripper pole and somewhat of an area that people can dance and if you have one of those booths your set for the night! Overall, kind of a compact place and I would rather go next door to Jamesons, the corner to the Rusty mullet or walk a lil ways down Hollywood Blvd. to Tekila! I go for Bobby :) and the quick drinks. weekends there do get busy but get ready to touch elbows and wiggle through to get anywhere.

Pretty empty on a Friday within a few months of opening, which is pretty telling. Food is overpriced for what it serves. We had the albacore sashimi and was good but good for on okay restaurant trying to attract the weekly happy hour goers who are stopping for a quick bit and drink on Santa Monica BLVD before they go home. It’s good for a bar/restaurant you stumble on after walking away from another place down the street. This is not the place for serious Unilocalers/Food enthusiasts who are looking for new places that offer dynamite dishes or something unique or an exotic ambience

Oh boy. Our night at L’Scorpion was going fine until a large, drunk, sweaty man started talking to us and put his giant mitt right on my friend’s knee while he stood over her, completely in her space. When she asked him not to touch her, instead of backing off like a normal person, he asked, «Why?» When she told him it was because she didn’t know him and he made her uncomfortable, and when the rest of us chimed in to say, «Dude, come on,» he finally walked away, muttering. And what did he mutter? «You must not know Hollywood.» So, obviously, fuck that guy, but — it is kind of true that the Hollywood night scene is a terrible cesspool full of disgusting garbage people who think it’s okay to grab anything in sight as long as it’s female. I’m not saying that every man who goes out in Hollywood is a disgusting garbage person, but good grief! There sure are enough that almost every Hollywood night comes with at least one gross unwanted encounter! Anyway, I suppose I can’t blame L’Scorpion for this man’s actions. I came with a big group on a Saturday night and had a good time. We arrived on the early end of things, and getting drinks and finding seats was pretty easy. We settled in on an L of cushioned seats in the back room, and didn’t give these up for the rest of the night. I’m glad we got them. I liked L’Scorpion when it was more or less empty, but as the night went on, the place became crowded, filling up with the kind of shiny-shirted shiny-faced men who look ready to molest after one beer. I wasn’t drinking this night, as I was recovering from a rather long hangover, but the tequila selection looked interesting. A few of my friends ordered tastings that came with five shot glasses of sipping tequila. I think the atmosphere was a little more geared toward shooting tequila, but I could get behind a tequila tasting at least in theory. There was also plenty of beer and other alcohol available. Prices seemed fair enough. We had a good time most of the night, but I would not care if you told me I could never go out in Hollywood again. I hate L’Scorpion less than average, since it’s easy to get into and you don’t have to pay to sit down. Still, I’m not exactly yearning to go back.
