Holy crap! Met a friend here who loves the place and gotta say I see why! Cute little place with some great tasting coffee. Saw some good food too. Had to try the avocado split, and I’m not too big on avocado either! Delicious! Glad I was introduced to this place!

I love the healthy food and drink options here :) The iced matcha green tea paired with a salad truly hits the spot when I’m craving something low carb and high in chlorophyll. The staff is also warm and welcoming :) The one thing about this place it fills up quick but here is always somewhere to sit, thankfully!
Checked Javista out when I had a free hour and a little bit of reading to do. Ordered a classic Mocha and was pleased! Usually a mocha comes out very sweet and I have to ask for water, but this one was a great mix of sweet and bitter. The atmosphere is cute and relaxed with little succulents on the tables, black framed pictures covering the brick wall and decent amount of tables for atmosphere smaller coffee shop. It got fairly busy on Sunday around noon since it’s so centrally located, but I had no problem grabbing a spot and the order didn’t take long at all. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back.

4.5 stars. ONLY reason this not 5 stars is because it is a bit more expensive than I am usually looking to spend on a cup of coffee. Having said that I am always glad to frequent a little independent coffee spot. They have all kinds of baked goods for your morning, croissants, muffins, cookies. Just tried a ham and cheese croissant and it was very good. They also have great sandwiches and salads for lunch. Young, hip, friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

Small hipster coffee shop that’s close to my hostel. Nice clean wooden interior. Some seating that is outdoors. They made a decent pour over. Fair prices. Passable customer service.

Got the mortadella sandwich on a baguette and it was hands down best sandwich ive had in awhile was an awesome surprise as i went to work and for some caffeine. Perfect touches of pesto and bruschetta. For the caffeine side got a dirty chai latte and it was delicious highly recommended. Staff was all real cool and quick service.

OHJAVISTA. How have I not reviewed you yet? I work across the street, hit this place up multiple times a week for cappuccino, avocado split or turkey salad. All fantastic. They also get Clover juice here. Guys & Gals — everyone is so fucking hott at this place. So many doable people in one location.

Great baristas, decent espresso, and yummy pastries. Stopped here for to enjoy some coffee after hiking up to the Griffith Park Tea House and loved the cozy vibes. The baristas here are really nice and friendly, which is always a major plus for me when it comes to LA coffee spots. The only reason this won’t be one of my favs is because they use Urth Café coffee and espresso which I’m not really a fan of because it always feels a bit weak in body(though their tea blends are great). I ordered a plain latte(they don’t do syrup sweeteners, oddly) and an almond croissant. The foam on the latte was great but the espresso in it was expectantly disappointing. The almond croissant was yummy but was a bit dry like it was made the day before but it was still pretty good. This place had a warm, cozy vibe that was really refreshing. I’m glad I stopped by but I’ll keep trying new spots in the area.

This is a perfect place to enjoy some coffee and do some work(or read a book) on the sidewalks of Sunset Blvd. The avocado split was a perfect snack. The avocado was a perfect creamy texture with a really tasty, fresh tomato sauce on top. I smiled with every bite. The iced chai latte was good too, and refreshing.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Hollywood. The coffee is DELICIOUS. If you appreciate a really well crafted organic latte or cup of joe… This is your place. I’m a little picky when it comes to coffee, but I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Javista. The shop can get a little packed and seating is limited, but that doesn’t stop me from visiting at least once a week. Staff is very friendly, wi-if is provided and there’s also complimentary water. I love this place. Would recommend it to anyone!

This is one of the best coffee shops I have ever been to. They have fresh pastries, bagels, scones and cookies every morning. The most glorious of these fresh pastries are the fruit tarts made with fresh blackberries, raspberries and blueberries! They even offer vegan cupcakes and cookies! I like getting a fresh cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with natural peanut butter, mmmmm! In addition to these amazing pastries they also make fresh salads and gourmet sandwiches! My favorite on the menu is something called the«Avocado Split» where they cut the avocado in half, and they fill the centers with bruschetta, basil, salt and pepper, and drizzle over it with olive oil. The prices are no more than you would pay at any other coffee shop, but the quality you get is so much more! Of course, most importantly, their coffee is on point! They offer Almond Milk, Hemp Milk, Soy Milk and even Organic Soymilk for any non-dairy drinkers. They also have a mixing station with Agave, Raw Sugar and other great top quality sweeteners that you can add to your drink at your leisure. If you go to a Starbucks it is not uncommon to see impatient customers packing the place, but here you have cool décor of local artwork on the walls with an outdoor patio and you’ll see people enjoying themselves and their coffee. The staff is amazing. I am here a few times a week studying and I am always greeted with nothing but genuine courteousness and they are always happy to oblige any particular request you might have for your specific coffee needs!

Hasta la vista, Javista… * GET — Soy latte = my usual but this brew was deep, rich, and smooth. Coupled with good service, hoppin’ café, and outdoor sunshine equals an easy«to-revisit». * YES — Friendly fast baristas * YES — Full menu includes food, snacks and drinkssss * YES — Chill vibe outdoors(pet-friendly), and quiet interiors(free wifi) * YES — Several tables indoor(with tall long windows) and outdoors front patio * WOA(words of advice): — Street metered parking — Watch out for occasional construction nearby — Pet-friendly, takes credit cards

I have been here twice now and I truly adore this spot. They open at 7:00am and have a great little setup in front of the shop to soak in the rising sun and people watch. It has saved me from a frustrating early morning drive. Found during a Unilocal self-discovery session after a loooong night, this caffeine bastion is in the heart of Sunset blvd and offers delicious drinks and a variety of fresh pastries. Arrive early to stake out a spot amidst limited outdoor seating. Classic coffee, tea and even a full lunch menu! I have yet to try out their food; but if it is anything like their coffee, then it is surely amazing! Kristofer’s Bop of the Day: Latte with Hemp Milk and a dash of cinnamon.

This place gets packed! Why? Well for one the coffee is good. Two the ambiance screams«Stay for sec!» Three, did I say the coffee was good already? If you decide to stay I suggest getting a sandwich and turn it into a salad. It was amazing! I thought I was going to get a small salad but I honestly didn’t think I would finish. It’s on the pricey side but they have to keep the lights on.

I had a get together at Javista so I only ordered a Latte which was tastefully decorated with a pattern on the surface. It could have been a Bird of Paradise flower, Dragon fly w/only wings on the right side, butt heavy flying bird. It’s a Rorschach test. The latte was rich with a nice milky goodness & touch of the caffeine. Nice crew, friendly, casual, welcoming. It’s a very small space so it appeals more to single people who are there to be on their ipad, lap top, etc. or in very small groupings of at most 4 or so. There is a south facing patio in front if more extra sunny elbow room is desired. They do serve salads, sandwiches, pastries that look rather appetizing, but I was due to go to Q Sushi in DTLA for dinner so had to forego a tasty late afternoon Merienda. 3++ Unilocal stars for just the latte & friendly ambiance. Parking is on the street with metered parking. Don’t let the time slip away without your being aware of the time when the meter expires. Since the great recession of 2008, all cities want to supplement income by upping the fines for parking. It’s not worth getting a $ 38 parking fine when a few quarters will do the trick. Also read the parking signs for any other restrictions since some street parking sections of Sunset are restricted for rush hour which means your car will get towed which can cost up to $ 300. Bön Chance.

There’s something about the ambience of a place with drinking a cup of coffee or a latte. I think it either makes or breaks your experience of that place. It was my first time at Javista and I just loved the ambience! This place has been in my bookmarks for a while but since I moved up to the Hollywood area recently, I finally got the chance to come and fall in love with this place. Especially for people-watchers like me, you’ll love not just the interior but also the outside patio area! Let’s talk about coffee now. I got the Gibraltar and my friend got a latte with a slice of banana bread. The Gibraltar is a stronger, concentrated version of a latte. They just don’t put as much milk in the cup like you would to a latte. It was my first time trying a Gibraltar and I loved it. I realized that I like my coffee very strong when my other friend got the Gibraltar as well and she said it was way too strong. So if you’re going for a strong cup to wake you up, I recommend the Gibraltar. I got a sip of their latte too and it’s very creamy and rich. Perfect cup. The banana bread is good with its full banana flavor hitting your tastebuds but texture-wise… You can taste the gluten-free-ness of it haha. I think I’ll be able to spend my day here just relaxing and reflecting in my journal if it wasn’t for limited parking… But it’s not Javista’s fault so I give them my full 5 stars! :-)
