Art and Culture Center of Hollywood

This is an exhibit center and not an art museum. Children’s art is displayed here. There was one exhibitor only when we attended; it was on par with the children’s art. The third Sunday is free admission. To pay to enter would border on ridiculous.

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood is really for everyone who appreciates art at any level! The center presents contemporary gallery exhibitions, live stage performances, and high-​quality education programs for adults and children. Upstairs they work with local schools and every 3 weeks the exhibit changes to showcase another art class and the children’s work. How great is it to have children’s work on display just like a professional! They also provide various art classes and a summer camp. Downstairs they have a main gallery and two smaller exhibit gallery space that switch out. We came by when they had Biennial. All artists residing in the state of Florida were invited to submit entries of contemporary artwork for consideration in this Biennial. They showcased the top of original paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, photography, video, etc. Entry is $ 7 for adults $ 4 for children and every 3^rd Sunday is free! It’s in a 90 year old house which really brings a special charm in the heart of downtown Hollywood!
