For four people we ordered a bucket of 11 pieces of chicken(different parts) with two side orders(macaroni and cheese, Cajun fries) popcorn shrimp, and a gallon container of iced tea. Including tax it all came to a bit over $ 32.00. The lady at the counter had a heavy Indian accent and was hard to understand and maybe couldn’t really understand us, but she was okay. The place was pretty empty at about 12:30PM on a Saturday afternoon and seemed reasonably clean. The radio station or stations they played had cool music consonant with the«southern» tone of the food. The food was ready within minutes. The chicken was very heavily battered but was juicy and fresh, not bad. I didn’t try the other stuff, but there were no complaints at our table. Food at Popeye’s seems to be several steps up from KFC and I am told it’s not more expensive. The restaurant is in a little strip mall with its own parking lot. The view was dismal but at least we could keep an eye on the car, which is always a good idea when you are in a place like Hollis.
