Still love HHOP! Usually get their buffacue pizza or thin crust pepperoni. Which are fantastically great! I’ve not found a better pizza place nearby. Today I ordered a turkey club sub, it’s was awesome! Stuffed and slightly overflowing, crispy bacon, great bread and the Maui chips were a great addition too.

I liked it. - Went here for lunch. I got a «small» calzone, which is large enough to choke a horse. I could only manage to eat half, which is nice because now I have the other half for lunch tomorrow! - Cost around $ 12 for a small calzone with a drink and chips. Kind of a lot for lunch, but since I’m getting 2 lunches out of it, it’s not so bad. - Sodas are $ 1.50 here, which seems to be the going rate. - They’ll make any kind of pizza or calzone you want here, and I came up with a creation I haven’t had since college. It was pretty good. Side of sauce is sweet, which I like.(Some people don’t like sweet marinara.) - The place is small, eclectic, and crammed into an old house. Seating is limited, and the second floor of seating is quite close to the tiny restrooms. Thankfully, no one stopped by while I was seated near one. - Food was good — I’d go back. I’d be interested in trying their pizza!

Terrible customer service. I put in an order and was told it would be 45 minutes. An hour and a half later still no delivery. I called them back and lady said the delivery guy called me three times on my cellphone and left me a message. Apparently the message was that there is no delivery driver??? Ok… First of all why would you ask«pickup or delivery» if you don’t have a delivery guy on? And second why would you take a delivery order if he isn’t going to be there to deliver it. It’s odd that she said the delivery guy called me so it doesn’t make any sense and what kind of a business is it that you don’t know if you have a delivery guy available or not. And why would you ask if it’s for pickup or delivery when I called to ask about my order? They just lost a customer and the lady does not sound apologetic at all.

This place is pretty good for the area. Their ingredients are always fresh which I really enjoy. It makes a big difference on the pizza. The delivery was pretty quick the one time we tried it. They told us delivery would be about 45 minutes to an hour the next few times, so we always picked up our order. The pizza was good. As another reviewer said the sauce was OK but I really enjoyed the rest. I can’t really explain the sauce but it was kind of bland with a weird after taste. The crust and the toppings were great. Their subs are average to good. I first had the Italian cold cut and it was pretty average. However, the steak bomb was very good. This has been my go to since it is always good. I got it with a side of fries which was a very big serving. The one gripe I do have is that our food order was messed up on two different occasions. One time our pizza came with onions when we ordered only a pepperoni and sausage pizza. This worked out for me as I love onions but my wife hates them. Lastly, I asked for no tomatoes on a sub and it came with tomatoes. I hate giving this place 3 stars as it probably deserves more. If you order the right thing it can be good, fresh food. Everyone who works there is also extremely nice. They will have conversations with you while you stand there waiting for your food. I will continue to patronize this place as there are some good food items and it’s refreshing to have people that are enthusiastic making your food.

Horrible service. Everyone is in their own world working there. Food was cold and server disagreed with me when I told him our food was ready waited an extra ten minutes while the food got cold and then he realized his mistake. If you have to order something specific don’t order from there because they have never got my order correct. They put fancy greens on a buffalo chicken sub which doesn’t make sense. Over priced for average food at best. Not many other options in Hollis but I’m starting to consider a half hour ride for a simple sub might be the best option because I can’t deal with the employees lack of concern for the customers.

Good pizza… usually made faster than expected and sitting on oven with others. Chic wings very small but tasty. Boneless wings grisly. Best to order in restaurant and wait for pizza to come out of oven.

We tried Hollis House of Pizza today as a change of pace. The three of us had subs(toasted ham and provolone for me, Italian for my husband, and chicken parmesan for our friend). They were all delicious, with a very tasty, fresh roll. The service is very nice, and they have done a pretty good job of providing comfortable seating. We did notice the(very) extensive menu, and we thought we would give them a try again for other than subs. The place was quiet, which is disappointing because we really do want a GOOD pizza/sub/salad place in town. It’s been a long time, and several similar businesses have not made it in the space where they are located. Good luck to these new owners of what we hope will be a successful business.

HHP is getting it right! Delivery to Brookline in no time. Still haven’t tried any other menu items, I’m too hooked on the pizza. Will definitely come back.

Seems every town has a house of pizza rite? I have had the pastrami, a steak bomb, and 5 pizzas(not in one seating;) and all has been excellent. the place is clean service friendly and the owners are continuously improving the property and the restaurant. A great addition to Hollis.

The pizza is fairly typical for our area: light, unsubstantial crust, bland sauce, so-so cheese and toppings. Put that all together, and the pizza is good, but nothing you haven’t had before. I tried both a plain cheese and a specialty all-the-meats pizza to compare. Toppings were average in both quality and selection, nothing that will blow your socks off. The rest of their menu is typical«[insert town]-House-of-Pizza» fare, with salads, subs, calzones, fried-thing appetizers, wings, «dinners», etc. Overall, HHoP is very similar to Val’s, Chrysanthi’s, Big A, Pizza Top, and Bravo’s in neighboring Brookline/Milford towns… so if you’ve visited them, you’ll already be familiar with Hollis’s newest offering. I never visited this restaurant when it was called Val’s, so I can’t say if it’s better or worse. A plain cheese pizza was $ 10.85 before taxes, and most specialty pies were in the mid-$ 15 range. They’re not very big pizzas, so I think the prices are on the expensive side. For the moment, they’re not offering any deals/coupons, so the price you see is the price you pay. There is a nice outdoor seating deck for warmer days, but interior accommodations are tight, with just a few tables. It was also quite warm inside, thanks to the pizza oven I’m sure. Overall, I think they will serve the Hollis area well, as well as any passers-by, but it’s not a restaurant I’d go out of my way to visit.

I recently moved to Hollis and was excited to try this place since it’s right down the road from me. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was really good. Took a menu home and they do offer a large selection of food, no beer/wine though. My one gripe, and I just may need to get used to Hollis prices, was how expensive the pizza was. I think it was $ 13.00 or $ 14.00, hopefully they will have specials or mail us locals some coupons.
