I love this place. It’s not huge but not small and the staff is so friendly and helpful. They also have a great sale rack. I can’t wait to go back!

This place is worth another visit! I found myself in the area and decided to check out the local yarn scene. This is a very lovely shop! The owner was helping a new knitter at the work table but was also gracious with all of us in the store. She has a ton of samples all over the store which I always find so helpful. There are so many treasures, I found myself walking around the store several times, finding a new gem on each circuit. I will definitely stop by again if I’m in the area. Great store!

I own an etsy shop and sell knitted items. I came to the sheep shack for some specialty yarn that could not be found at AC Moore or Michaels. The sheep shack has a wide array of specialty yarns. I easily found what I was looking for. The owner was very friendly and offered her advice when asked. She even gave me a 10% discount for being a college student! Specialty yarns are rather pricy to begin with and I thought these yarns were averagely priced. Overall I was very satisfied.

I found this place while looking for yarn stores in Worcester. This is one of the closest ones. I went in on a Friday drop-in night for some help with a pattern I’m working for my husband. There were a bunch of customers sitting around and knitting and the owner was right there helping to read patterns and offer advice. The owner is friendly and helpful. She has a great selection of yarn in high quality fibers and I thought her prices were right in line with other small yarn shops. I bought some beautiful yarns for some cute hats I’m making my nieces. I will definitely be taking a class there this summer. I look forward to more drop in nights as I work on my knitting skills!

Ok. So the Sheep Shack has some nice yarn and other assorted knitting supplies. Other than that I was not impressed. The woman that owned the shop was not very nice to me and my friend. Her(very minimal) conversation with us almost seemed forced. We spent a decent amount of money there, but she almost acted as if she were suspicious of us or something. The whole experience was pretty strange and uncomfortable. I returned a couple of weeks later to pick up a pair of needles for a project I was working on and got the same reception. That was enough for me– I will find somewhere else to spend my money!

If you like knitting, you’ll like the Sheep Shack. I stopped in here purely because I found the name hilarious– man am I glad I did! So much yarn! So much knitting stuff! It was wonderful! The staff is incredibly helpful– I was a knitting newbie, and had tons of questions, and all of them were patiently answered. They have knitting groups that meet there, they have classes, they have places to just sit and knit. The prices are decent– high end yarn is expensive in general, and this store reflects that. I did score some great yarn from a bargain basket– look for clearance items!
