Really shocked to see such bad reviews. Tried a few different places and this place to me is most aware of their customers. I don’t feel rushed here and they always do a good job. Nothing fancy but always a good job!

When I get my nails done I expect it to be a relaxing part of my week. This was the opposite. I felt very rushed from the moment I walked into this salon. They clearly wanted to leave 20 min before they closed and came over to check mt nails in turn messing them up when I wanted the stay at the drying station. Paint job was good but I don’t think I’ll go back.

Great service from everyone, especially Ashley! I’m so happy I found this place in Hobo living in JC Heights. Reasonable prices for amazing work. I almost always get a deign on my gel mani, and there’s nothing Ashley can’t do! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nail salon in Hobo/​Jersey City, NJ.

Getting what is probably the worst pedicure of my life right now. The lady hardly cut my cuticles. Didn’t clean any dirt from under my nails. Just rubbed lotion onto my legs and didn’t massage me. Definitely not coming back — a lame pedicure by any standards. Clearly has not had proper training and left my nails so streaky. Very very unimpressed and annoyed.

Pretty harsh reviews!
I go to both Nail Story locations but I followed my girl Ashley to this one a few months back. When you get amazing service, you pay for it. So i never mind doing just that! I’m always satisfied and if I ever dislike something or a day or two later need adjustments, I make sure to head back and get it fixed with NO problem! The best in Hoboken, sorry.

Worst manicure and pedicure I have EVER had. Very disappointing. Avoid it.
The mani/​pedi was $ 35 but for some reason having my nails buffed instead of painted cost an additional $ 5. Never in all my years have I had to pay MORE to NOT have nails painted.
The girl was slow. Disengaged. Spent no time on heels during pedi. Burned me with a hot stone.
And to top it off I have had more breaks in my natural nails bases on her filing than if I had done it myself.

I go to this place when I need a quick mani and don’t feel like walking all the way to my fav spot (Modern Nails). In general, they do a good job and the manicures last, but it’s a little more expensive than I would pay elsewhere. Their color selection is ok, and often mix in some of the new colors.
My only issue is that they have certain girls «assigned» to do certain tasks. I had a girl working on my hands a couple weeks ago, and someone came in after me for a pedicure. So in the middle of my filing process, she dropped me and I was handed off to another girl. I was slightly annoyed by this as my nails were done by two different people, and I had to wait for the other woman to be done with someone else’s mani. However, I’ll still go back in emergency situations!

Gift certificates expire after 6 months and they refuse to honor them even if it’s shortly past the expiration date. Bad holiday present and a terrible policy for a mediocre, at best, nail salon that should be making an effort to invite business, not guarantee that people never go back.

Just went here to get my eyebrows done. Was extremely specific that I just wanted them cleaned up and not to make them any smaller. I now have skinny lines for eyebrows. She couldn’t even make them even so one of the lines is shorter than the other. I am so upset and will now have to pencil them in until they grow back. I wouldn’t have paid the woman either except for the fact that i couldn’t see when i looked in the mirror at the salon bc she dropped lotion into my eyes (probably on purpose so I wouldn’t see how hideous I look). The only reason i give 1 star is bc the first time i came here for a gel mani the lady did pretty good nail art. The mani didn’t last at all though. I will not be returning here. Ever.
