We had an urgent need for a hot water heater on a Saturday afternoon. The Home Depot staff greeted me near the entrance to the door and answered all my questions. We knew which water heater we wanted and all we needed to do was arrange for installation. The staff took the information in order to get the installers to call us to set up an appointment. All in all the associate at the store was very good. The reason this is not a five star review has to do with the contractor who would have done the installation. The water heater cost under $ 300 but the installers added so many up-​charges that the entire price would’ve been well over $ 1000 and they would not do it until Monday. They insisted the up charges were necessary in order to keep the project up to code. We contacted an accredited certified local independent contractor who came on Sunday afternoon and installed the water heater for just a bit over $ 300, saving us about $ 400. Home Depot is great but watch out for their water heater contractors!

The staff at the Hiram Home Depot are always nice & helpful. If they don’t have what you’re looking for & they can’t order it quickly, 9 times out of 10, they’ll point you in the right direction. Lucky to have this location as my home town store. Includes a tool rental center as well.
