We revisited this restaurant recently on a quiet night. Food is kind of expensive, averaging around $ 19.00 per plate. Portions were large and the food was well cooked and tasted very good. Emily K our waitress was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Ceaser salad at $ 8.00 was a good buy and enough for two people. If you are looking for a cheap night out, this is not the place for you, however, if you do not mind price and want a quiet place to talk, this place is very nice, especially in the winter months.

Lunch or dinner this place is nice. The food is great and drinks out on the patio is nice on a beautiful day. The staff is friendly and portions of food is really good.

This may be one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. It is overpriced. The bartender is very rude. The owner(I believe his name is Elio) is one of the most arrogant people I have encountered in a long time. This restaurant is located at a golf course. I watched the owner basically refuse to serve a couple of golfers after their round because it appeared that he(the owner) did not feel as though they«fit-in» with the other crowd already in the restaurant. I am a golfer as well and if I had just finished a round of golf I would not want to hang out with my other playing partners in this snooty place. This restaurant feels out of place at this golf course!

First time at this restaurant. We celebrated a birthday at the brunch. While not crowded at all, service was a little slow. First impression was the atmosphere seemed a little cold. Décor was really outdated and dark. Would love to redecorate this place and add some class & charm! Wonderful view out the windows of the snow covered golf course! While surrounding appearing a little sloppy… the food selection was nice. All the food tasted very good! Desserts though were not replenished and I am glad I took a few for the table early. I think we will give it another chance!

My fiancé and I have become regulars of this place. The food is phenomenal, the service is always exemplary, and with a surprisingly excellent tap list, it become a no-brainer every time we want to dine out. Do yourself a favor and try this place — you won’t be disappointed.

I have to say the only good thing about this place is the food is amazing but other than the cook everyone should be fired and hire new starting with the the woman at the door. My wife and I had reservations for a Friday night and we get there and when when we first walk in the woman at the door was on the phone and then put her finger up at us as to wait and then there was some ignorant Irish people with a party of 5 that walk in after us and then the woman gets off the phone and proceeds to take the information from the ignorant party of 5 and then sits them down and then 10 mins later a manager takes us to our table, then we are sitting for almost 25 min and never are given bread that they give everyone else and we had to ask for it and then someone asks us what we would like to drink mind you this happened 25 – 30 min after we have bed sitting waiting both my wife and I almost walked out. 45 mins later after sitting a waiter/manager takes our order and it took another 25 mins to get the good and were never asked if we wanted another drink when clearly our cups were empty for some time and had to ask for more and then after we were done eating we asked for the desert menu and the manager wrapped our food up and came back with the bill no desert menu so we waited for the waiter/manager to come back to get the bill and asked for a manager and our waiter said“I’m the manager” my wife replied that is very unfortunate and that we just experienced the worst experience ever at a restaraunt in our lifetime because we were basically ignored and not treated well and we want to let them know because we would not want anyone else to experience what we just had to endure. Manager apologized and gave us our desert for free which was nice but honestly if it wasn’t for the food there we would never go back but we will give them one more shot and if it is anywhere close to what we experienced last time we will never go back and we will let everyone know never to go there ever again. Everyone except the cook should be fired especially the manager and the ignorant hostess.

Went for dinner with my wife and we found the food and service to be very good. I was concerned about the service because of the reviews I read on Unilocal, but we had excellent service. My wife had the Scallops & Short Rib Ravioli Duet and I had a steak special. Both were very good and we sat outside overlooking the golf course. We will be back.

Surprise… Surprise… We live local and have never tried this place. I went there once for finger food with a group and the food tasted ready made. Eg. Chicken wings and potatoes skins from a bag. Last week a co-worker told me they had a lovely meal there, so we decided to give it a try tonight. We all had a lovely meal. The 4 meals consisted of, Steak, Steak Tips, Fish & chips, and Haddock with crab meat stuffing, we all loved our meals. My haddock tasted wonderful, great combination of flavored. This is our 1st try so I can’t recommend on consistently being this good. The total for our 4 meals cost $ 40+ less than we paid last week at Bridgemans and we enjoyed it far more. I can see this becoming our local. Let’s hope it stays this good.

Not impressed. Food quality and variety were sub par. One small table of your average breakfast foods(egg, bacon, sausage, eggs benny, waffles) and one small table of lunch foods(mussels, salmon, chicken marsala, pasta) The English muffin on the eggs benedict was rock solid, impossible to cut through. The lunch foods were very oily and salty. I’m not even sure I mentioned them all, very forgettable. Luke warm, not hot. The carving station is hidden in the corner. Roast beef was good. Desserts were pretty good but they weren’t too quick on replenishing them after they had already been picked through. The service was awful. When we first sat, we got an order of drinks. That was the last time we saw our waitress. Never for refills. Never to clear plates. We had to track her down for another glass of water and to pay the bill. We were there for about an hour and she never once came to check on us. For $ 4 more, go to Atlantica in Cohasset. Much better quality food, better service.

Great food but not a great beer selection. Quiet and peaceful. Nobody rushing to get you out of there.

Terrible place, atrocious service. Managers are never available to address issues and have a general attitude of annoyance at the fact that they might actually have to do something.

I came here for the first time the other day with my mother, and we sat at the bar since we just wanted a cocktail and snack. When the bartender asked what we wanted to drink my mom said she wanted a «bloody mary» & I thought that sounded good so I ordered one as well. A side note would be that I only recently started drinking them, and never used to like tomato juice. I am also recently relocated back to the South Shore after living in Santa Monica California, so pretty much every bloody mary I have had in the past year has been out in Cali. Along with that I have vegetarian/almost vegan for the last two years. When our drinks came I took one sip & realized«oh no, I think this has Worchestershire Sauce in it!» And told my mom. Right away I asked our bartender«does this have Worchestershire sauce in it?» To which he replied–«Yes, it does. It’s the same way I have been making it for 30 years, from scratch.» And to that I replied, «I’m sorry, but I can’t drink this– it has fish in it, and I’m vegetarian. I don’t eat anything with a face.» The bartender turned and looked at me and said«No it doesn’t!» As if this wasn’t enough to horrify my mother and I with his nasty tone, he continued to be even more rude by turning around and screaming over the group of people I assume are regulars(but it was a group of people none the less) and yells to someone«Worchestershire Sauce doesn’t have fish in it, does it?» Are you kidding me? Now if I was at McDonalds maybe I could understand what happened next-but I was at the South Shore Country Club’s restaurant. Since when do you A) argue with a customer? and B) belittle them in front of other guest??? And this is how I am being treated at a so-called«country club»??? We were mortified. He reluctantly took my drink and dumped it into the sink and poured me a beer. I was so upset and embarrassed I had to sit there and google it. There are two reasons I know it has fish in it. 1) is because the last time I had a bloody mary was at this awesome little restaurant in Santa Monica where they put all the spices in, but then offered me worchestershire sauce on the side in-case I wanted to add it-which is then when I do what I always do now-READ the ingredients! I remembered passing it back to the bartender saying I couldn’t have it because I’m vegetarian. The second reason is because it is now on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator door at my moms house-which is where every salad dressing or condiment I no longer will use has been placed. But-even if I had been wrong, where the heck is this guys manners? Forget about customer service-he was as rude as some words I would rather not say. So I google the ingredients, and what does it say– Anchovies! Which are FISH. So I decided to let him know when he came out of the kitchen-because people do have food allergies that are very serious and can be life threatening, and as a bartender he should know what he is serving his«guest». (who he needs to be reminded pay his bills, and keep him employed) and he looks at me and says«oh, yeah so and so just told me that» and walked off. No apology or anything. I may look 20 but I’m 32 years old and have not One but Two degrees in the food industry. I also have over 10 years of restaurant and hospitality experience which includes working at a yacht club out in the Hampton’s in NY. I would NEVER treat a guest that way-ever! Later my mother told me ownership at the club has changed several times-it’s too bad they have not changed staff. I bet they keep wondering why they aren’t doing more business. It is because they have rude, arrogant staff behind their bar. Too bad too, because little does he know-but I’m a «connector». And people like to go to places I recommend. They also stay clear of places I don’t recommend. So they didn’t just lose 2 customers that day– they lost anyone my mom may have brought back, and at least ten of my girlfriends I would’ve brought I can think of off the top of my head(plus any more they would’ve brought…) It’s a shame. So– to the Owner(s) of the South Shore Country Club-if your business is struggling-you may want to consider doing some in-house cleaning, and get some staff that knows how to treat a «guest”-which would be like«a guest». It is their privileged to have the opportunity to serve your guest-not the other way around. With out any guest-you have no business. Also-bad word of mouth advertising travels about 7x, and good word of mouth only travels about 3x(something I remember from one of my marketing classes). And to the bartender who was so rude and obnoxious-your the one losing here. Losing $ by losing business for yourself and your co-workers. Also, the manager should have stopped by to address this, as any upscale establishment usually does a «table touch» by a manager if a guest is unsatisfied by something, so as to prevent them from leaving with a bad taste in their mouth.

This review is for the Brunch Buffet for a large group. We had approx 30 people for brunch here after my daughter’s baptism and everything went really well. We had a semi-private dining area, which was great. We basically had the entire place to ourselves because all of the other brunch diners were eating in the bar. It was a great option for such a large group with people of all ages, kids, grandparents etc. They had a made-to-order omelet station, carved roast beef & ham, all of the traditional breakfast dishes(waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, home fries etc.) plus lunch dishes as well(pasta, chicken parmesan, salmon, green beans etc.) plus a packed dessert bar. Certain things were sort of hidden in the brunch display though(breads, salad, and the cheese & smoked salmon). When you do a buffet, you always risk things not being all that hot etc., but it’s an easy way to feed and please a lot of folks. Our wait staff was really helpful and the place is very nice in a pretty location. The price was reasonable at $ 19.99 per person(and $ 8.99 for kids).

We were very disappointed with our trip to the Greenside Grille. Two of us arrived on a Saturday night around 5:30PM. The owner /manager greeted us at the door and asked if we had a reservation, which we didn’t. Even though the restaurant was almost completely empty, he told us he could not seat us at a table and that we’d have to sit at the bar. We accepted this and ordered our drinks and meals from the bartender. Throughout our meal, we kept checking the restaurant area to see if the tables were filling up. They weren’t. During our entire meal, no more than 5 tables at a time ever had diners. We dismissed the possibility that there wasn’t enough staff to serve us at a table because there was always 2, 3, or even 4 waitstaff standing around looking for something to do. The poor bartender not only served us and others at the bar, but brought items out to another part of the country club. And while the food was excellent, it was very expensive for what we received. Furthermore, during our entire time at the bar we observed the owner/manager sitting at the bar drinking(yes really) and what seemed like flirting with a woman there. I don’t know why«drinky» the manager/owner refused to sit us at a table, but it has driven us away from ever going back. Despite a tasty(expensive) meal, it was overall a poor experience and we won’t return.

In Hingham and happened to be all dressed up one weekend evening and wanted to go somewhere fancy. Food was decent and appropriately priced. Atmosphere and service was good. But nothing too special that makes me want to come back. Beef raviolis were very tasty, but the edges were a little undercooked?(or maybe overcooked?) Fisherman’s Platter was so-so. It’s about a 3.5 star overall I guess.

I came here with my boyfriend because we found it on groupon and decided to try it out for dinner. He ordered the New York Sirloin and I ordered the Seafood Amore. We also ordered Mussels for our appetizer. The mussels were really good especially in the white wine and garlic sauce, with the garlic bread. I enjoyed the Seafood amore which was mussels, shrimp, scallops and clams on pasta of your choice. The proportions were of decent size. They seemed to try to make it very high class with the dim dim lights and the candles on the tables. I do wish the restaurant was a bit brighter. Our waitress Amanda was excellent and very friendly. The only reason for the 4 stars out of 5 is because the price is a little high and the location was a bit difficult to find.

I came here for dinner after a round of golf at the South Shore Country Club. We walked in and weren’t even acknowledged for several minutes, despite the fact that employees walked by us many times. After I had to ask a server if we could please be seated, we were brought rolls and no water from the bus boy. Our waitress came by about 10 minutes later, so we figured we’d order out appetizers and meals at the same time because who knows when she would come back to our table. We didn’t see her again until she brought us our appetizers and entrees at the same time… seriously. The food was average, but we then asked to speak to a manager who obviously was new to the service industry, because his plastic smile and insincere apologies really didn’t do anything to ease our frustrations. For our troubles we were comped a free microwaved chocolate lava cake. This is the last time I will ever be back to this place. You may think that it is convenient to eat here after a round of golf, but you are much better suited going to a real restaurant. This was about as amateur as it gets.

Used a gift certificate to try this place and loved it. Tried this restaurant with my sisters and we all loved our meal. Candles lit up the whole restaurant, good size bar area. There was a piano there so I assume they have music on weekends. There was 1 waitress/bartender on but she did a terrific job. We were there on a Monday celebrating my parents anniversary who are no longer here to celebrate it and for a Monday it was quite crowded. They started us off with super warm rolls, I got risotto and scallops, my sister got prime rib and my other sister got a huge house salad(she’s a raw eater). We got 2 desserts which were great. I’ve took pictures of all the food we got and posted them and they will make you want to try this restaurant,. I have already purchased another coupon so I can take my better half here now. Oh ya, great wine list too.

Not a fan. I have had both brunch and dinner here. Sadly not impressed at all. Food was luke warm at brunch and just not that good at dinner. Staff seem distracted. I had high hopes for new management. But mediocre at best. The positive was fresh omelet

First let me start by saying I love the food and the menu burt unfortunately after my visit last week I will not go back. My husband and I got a bottle of wine and each had a glass, had apps dinner coffee and dessert. When we asked to take bottle home we were told from across the room by the loud rude bartender we do not do that here. The waitress who was great got the manager’s son who came over and acted all cheesy asking about the dessert and instead of offering a solution said it is our discretion not send wine home etc. We are regulars here and it was soooo rude. Needless to say we now wont be back or reccomend to anyone because Elio’s son is non-professional, rude and to the say the least has lots to learn about keeping your customers. Sorry Greenside you lost my vote and that of my friends.
