Lowe’s

Monday, July 30 @ 12:45 p.m. I took a trip to Lowe’s. I needed help in the appliance department. I had to convert a 3-​prong dryer power cord to a 4-​prong, and I had never done it before. It took a few minutes to find someone working in that section, understandable. However, what was not understandable was the unprofessional manner in which the help was given to me.
I finally found someone working in that section, and I explained what I was needing to do and asked for help in how it was to be wired. It was only four little wires, super easy to explain, but instead, this jerk employee didn’t take to time to explain something that would have taken just one minute, give or take. The conversation with him went like this:
me: I need to convert a 3-​prong dryer cord to a 4-​prong.
Lowe’s employee: (walks over to the shelf containing dryer cords, grabs one, hands it to me) Here you go. (then he starts to walk off).
me: I need to know how the wires go.
Lowe’s employee: (grabs the cord from my hand, pulls off the paper surrounding the cord) All the instructions are right here.
me: They are? But I need…
Lowe’s employee: (then with a jerk-​like condescending tone) That’s what I like about you. (And he laughs, and walks off)
Okay…what the? Seriously?
I got home and looked at the paper from the cord that he said had the instructions and it was no help at all… much like the Lowe’s employee, and it kept stating that an electrician was needed. I ended up researching it online and there was an actual picture with easy instructions… no electrician necessary. It really would have taken about a minute to draw the wiring setup and take a quick look at the back of the same dryer I purchased at Lowe’s.
The only reason Lowe’s gets at least one star in my rating is for their 10% military discount.

I went here yesterday because I desperately needed a washer and dryer. The lady (and I wish I remember her name) was awesome!!! She helped me pick out all the necessary equipment. Great service!
The 10% discount for military doesn’t hurt also. :)
