The staff was attentive and friendly. Course had good tees and fairways. Had stations throughout course that has ice, water and cups. Greens were the worse ever. Doing construction on greens. Management should have closed course until finished. Greens were hidious. Restrooms clean. Clubhouse very nice. Did not eat there so do not know about food. Check course before playing. Ask about what is going on.

Beautiful new clubhouse. Greens very sandy because of recent maintenance. Water hazards on fourteen of the eighteen holes. Friendly staff.

Played what started as a cool November Thursday. It ended up being short sleeve weather as long as the sun was out. Played with the pro(wife) and picked up two singles. Had a good time except they kept forgetting to stop at the lady’s tees. It was all good and we all kept having a good laugh. Course was in great late season shape. Tee boxes were not too beat up and greens ran true. Nice fair course that tested us but was not punishing. This was the third course for the week(check my reviews) and we would play it again.

We had a 9:20 am tee time here this was the second of four courses we were playing. The Ocean Course was originally designed by George Cobb and opened in 1960 as the first course on Hilton Head Island. In 1995 This course has one hole that has a ocean view and is the 15th hole. Overall the course is beautiful and the fairways are lined with pine trees. From the back tees the course plays 6906 yards and ladies are 5325 total yards. Expect 14 hazards on 18 of the golf holes on this challenging course. Our foursome played the course in less then 4 ½ hours on a Tuesday and we had no fore caddie. I enjoyed the course and the shape was good but I did prefer the Harbor Links course over this one.
