It’s a barn in the middle of no-where. The views here are nice, but nothing special compared to anything else you can find in this area. They clean it up, but it’s still a barn and I could smell residual crap inside. They don’t have a kitchen here so your catered food will be prepared offsite and brought in. Good luck making anything taste good in that situation. Now the good — again it was a nice view, the wedding area in the field was pretty, although when it was 90 degrees and sunny i thought i was going to die. The help here was fantastic and attentive in the set up, bar, and misc.

Very tranquil. Just sitting here on the deck. Absolutely gorgeous. Very very nice. Rooms are setup very nice. Bathrooms are really cool. I’m going to remodel my bathroom to match.

My husband and I chose The Enchanted Barn’s Elopement package because of our small, intimate wedding. We had less than 20 guests and between the beautiful backdrop, wonderful food, and attention to detail, we cannot say enough about The Enchanted Barn and their staff. Upon arrival, our guests were greeted with delicious appetizers and drinks. Because Barron County is a dry county, we were able to bring our own drinks for our guests. This allowed us to purchase finer wine at a more reasonable cost and avoid the up-charge most venues place upon the couple. The Enchanted Barn provided great(not cheap) stemware and put everything on ice for us as well. This small but important detail made our guests feel special — like they were being treated to a special event and not just another wedding. Because we got married on a cool October day, the heated hay loft was very comfortable for our guests and created a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. We chose the Urban Style dinner with plated service which was an excellent choice. All our guests raved about the food. The service was prompt, polite, and quiet, allowing all of us to eat, tell stories, and enjoy each other”s company. After dinner and a few more drinks, most of us moved closer to the fireplace and the stories continued. Actually being able to talk with our guests and not spend endless hours making the rounds of talking to people you don’t know made the experience more like one you have on Christmas eve after all the gifts are opened and the food is enjoyed — there’s nothing left but good old laughter. If you choose to have your wedding at the Enchanted Barn, you will be guaranteed to have one of those weddings that your guests talk about for years to come. Coming from a big family, I’ve been in and attended countless weddings and so have my guests. I didn’t want this to be ‘just another wedding’ with instant potatoes, a buffet line a hour long, and an impersonal style. With the Enchanted Barn, it was truly and experience for us and our guests that they will never forget.

The Enchanted Barn is indeed enchanted. A pair of my friends got married here last fall and it was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever attended. Keep in mind this review is as a guest, so I don’t know all the ins and outs of working with the staff and the exact prices or anything like that. Like Alanis Morissette, you never hope for rain on your wedding day… but in this case, the rain actually made it very cozy and romantic. So anyway, don’t fret about this place if you are worried about rain. It’s still lovely. It’s always kind of a gamble with wedding food, but theirs was actually pretty tasty. Standard homestyle BBQ buffet with saucy pork(little dry), potatoes, green beans and some other things I can’t recall now. There was also mac and cheese that was definitely meant for the kids… but also for me. For the bar, they allow you to bring your own wine and beer and serve it at their bar. You can attach kegs to their taps and everything, which saves money on liquor no doubt. The transitions were fairly smooth, albeit numerous. The ceremony was upstairs, then we were corralled down the narrow staircase very slowly in a receiving line. Cocktail hour was downstairs in the charming lounge/bar area while the upstairs was set for dinner. Then the rain let up a bit so we were brought upstairs by way of the outdoor path(much easier than the stairs) for dinner. Then we were brought back downstairs for dessert/drinks so that the dining room could be turned into dance party room. The barn has these beautiful hanging candles that they light up for you, so the atmosphere is gorgeous even before you dress up the tables. It’s perfect for a DIY wedding though. My pal’s crafty dessert table belongs on Pinterest. The barn has well-equipped bathrooms and a wedding suite where the bridal party can get ready. The couple can spend the weekend there too, which is awesome. Everybody shuttles off and you get to enjoy the peace and quiet of this gorgeous place. The only unfortunate thing about this wedding venue is that everybody knows about it. It seems like the gold standard for wedding barns in the Midwest, which means that it’s a little on the expensive side and booked well in advance.
