IHOP

Tried calling for take out… first phone just keeps ringing… After 3^rd time someone picks up and put me on hold for 20 minutes! Got annoyed and hang up! Tried calling them back and keeps going to voicemail!!! All the people that works there no one can pick up the phone or take orders over the phone???

I’ve eaten here many times over the past 5 years. The staff are very rude & unprofessional. The food is okay. It’s generally good. I had to stop going here because of the staff. Now I go to Time to Eat Diner for breakfast.

My husband and I frequent this IHOP many times throughout the year. But I’m not sure we will be returning. We went to dinner around 5pm on a Tuesday and there was only one waiter on duty. He has been there for quite some time and is friendly and pleasant. That night he wasn’t his usual cheerful self and rightfully so. He was trying to attend to all the tables: front, rear and sides. (Serve the meals, clear the tables, and get additional drinks, desserts, etc) We had a hard time catching his attention to even give him our order, but we understood his situation. That wasn’t the problem! As we were eating our meal, I could see him in the kitchen putting the final touches on salads, and pancake meals. He went from picking up dirty dishes and bringing them into the kitchen, right to grabbing tomatoes with his unwashed hands and placing them on the salads. I could also see him adding the butter to pancakes (he used a utensil for them) and tending to anything else that may have needed extra attention in the kitchen. He went right out the opening to the kitchen, served the patrons, picked up more dirty dishes along the way and back to the next salad and to added the garnishes with bare dirty hands. I was appalled and wondered how long this practice was the norm at this restaurant. My husband and I both lost our appetites. By time we were leaving another waitress came on duty, but I doubt if we will be going back!

Excellent staff, very attentive and friendly. The morning manager Nick, couldn’t be any more hospitable! Food always consistent and the wait time is minimum given the high volume on weekend mornings. Better than most of the diners in the area for sure

I went here last Friday for dinner with my kids.
I was so excited because I read all reviews here.
But I was very disappointed.
When I entered, I saw the sign «kids eat free on friday».
When I got a bill, I saw that kids meal were charged.
I went to cashier to ask it.
I am not sure if he is manager, but he seemed manager, and he told me he could help me.
When I asked this to him, he didn’t eye contact and treated me like a peanuts.
I got kids meal free but I was very insulted.
And I ordered kids ice cream sundae, it was the worst sundae ever. It was just little two scoops of ice cream with chocolate syrup.
I will never go there again.
I like ihop restaurant but this place was the worst ever.

Nom nom nom. Mediocre restaurant with fattening food that is fulfilling every once in awhile. This particular location was clean and the staff was friendly. Pancakes for dinner is ALWAYS a good idea. I’d come back here!

Ah hem… THIS IS THE GOOD IHOP IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD!
As far as chains go, this place feels cozy and homey in a good way. The food is consistently good and satisfying in comparison to other chain experiences. I can say that when I order, I will be getting exactly what I wanted. They are also good about making substitutions (fruit cup in leu of pancakes, etc.)
i have come to know a few of the staff and they are all always clean and friendly.

I ordered a stack of pancakes and a side of eggs. The server asked if I would like 2 or 3 eggs in specifically asked if 3 eggs cost more than 2 eggs. He said I can get 3 eggs. He came back with only 2 pancakes instead of the full order of pancakes. When I asked why I only received half of my pancake order he told me he gave me a combo. I told him I did not order the combo, I wanted the full serving of pancakes, and that’s when he said the eggs were $ 2 per egg and that 3 eggs cost more than 2 eggs. He shouldn’t have implied they were they same cost. It seems as though he tried to trick me into paying more for my meal than i should have. He should have asked to make it a combo instead of assuming, and even if I did want the combo, it would have been missing the bacon and toast. He did nothing to rectify this issue and did not apologize for his mistake, he did not ask how our food was, did not ask if I wanted a box, and did not say goodnight. When I asked to see a manager the server said there was no manager. This is the most poorly run restaurant I’ve ever been to and this is very unacceptable service. I should add this is my first time in my life writing a complaint against a restaurant.

I have been eating here for years and have never once had a single bad experience. The food is good (we only ever get breakfast food), and the servers are wonderful. It’s incredibly busy on weekend mornings, but they are efficient and somehow get customers sat and fed without anyone feeling rushed, which I think is great.
I’m honestly really surprised anyone had an issue here. I’ve lived in Hillsborough all my life and this is my go-​to breakfast place.

Lets get it correct, I was ONLY refunded for the hash brown and eggs. To everyone who rated this place 2 stars, is it just a story I am telling or is it the food? Owner please get your life!

Disgustingly, nasty. I ordered the stuffed french toast w/​hash & eggs, and my sister had the 4 stack stawberry pancakes. The french toast was very dry, old, & burnt. There was cno creamy, cream filling, at least I missed it. And the hash brown & eggs smelt like old, old baby diapers. Ugh. The pancakes was McDonald’s quality, but shamefully not mickey’s price, smh (would of been cheaper). I had to get a refund. And when I talked to the owner, he had the nerve to say in 12yrs nobody complainted, I told him of course u would say that ur the owner… theres so many complaints on ur restaurant that it is pathetic. Who ever ate from here, you have my condolences, and who is going to eat there, good luck. You’ll ask for ur money back, I guaranteed.

It’s ihop. Don’t compare it to our famous diners, it’s a national chain. My SO and I come here for a consistent, quick meal. The serving staff is always friendly and has never messed up our orders.
Sure the omelettes aren’t the greatest, but it’s a pancake house. Come for the pancakes, eggs, and coffee.
The manager is always friendly and recognizes us, making the experience that more memorable.

Colorado omelet with 3 pancakes. Crowded, looks like a soup kitchen. Jeez.
Had a group of teetnage employees sit across from me. Umm… Bit omelet with mostly pancake batter and not as much egg… lotta filling and dense as hell… definitely not my style but I guess «America» loves this shit. Ugh. All Jersey Diners are better than this shit.
Pancakes were decent.
And the waitress girl forgot to explain what comes with what or made it confusing for us to understand. whatever? Not going to this IHOP again. I’d rather eat at the Kmart next door.

I agree, Rick. This place is kid-​friendly and has good food and great service. Even on a Saturday morning, we are always seated promptly, served exactly what we ordered, and paid up within the hour.
