If you order your meal by phone and go there to pick it up, make sure you check it before you leave because 9 times out of 10 it will be wrong. That’s what you get when you hire a bunch of high school kids that are more interested in their cell phones then the customers. And while you’re waiting for them to correct your order, and if you have french fries in your bag, you come home with chewy fries.

Asked for a delivery. Food was awfully cold and soup was tasteless. I hate to say this, but definitely not value for money place. The chicken was cooked through.

I’ve eaten here for the past 5 years great food, awesome staff… All of their food is fantastic from the chicken and ribs to the wraps you will not leave hungry… Out of all the places I’ve visited in Hillsborough this restaurant has to be the cleanest around !!! You can eat off the kitchen floor !! I’ve used their catering menu for a few parties and everything I brought was gone in no time !!!
Get yourself some corn nuggets… MmmmHmmm !!!

Chicken Holiday of Hillsborough when I went (regularly a few years ago) has been decent.
Not the cheapest for fried chicken and not the quickest service. Their food though is pretty good. Chicken and fries are always hot and crispy. I’ve never had a complaint about the food.
However, when I was a regular, the ownership did change a few times which is why there could be inconsistency with food/​service etc. I’ve probably dined in at least 5 times and ordered delivery at least 3 times, never with any issue. I would call ahead rather than ordered there just because the food could take 20 min.
I prefer the rib sampler, fried chicken or wings.

I’m very excited to be writing a review for Chicken Holiday! I’m a huge chicken fan in general, and chicken that’s been plucked, cooked and delivered to me is always a bonus! My mom orders from here sometimes and she always gives me some of her white meat. I find the chicken to be most flavorful and moist. I also enjoy their mashed potatoes. They are very creamy and have a pâté like texture, similar to my Friskies. This place has a really fast delivery time and takes my moms credit card over the phone. They also have a full menu online, which is helpful when making my selections. My mom just reads it to me and I place my order with her.

I like chicken holiday. When my family doesn’t feel like cooking or we are in the mood for fried chicken, we always order out from here. The chicken is fresh and flavorful. For sides, we like the buttermilk biscuits, mashed potatoes with gravy and corn on the cob. My family has never been disappointed with the food we get here. Sometimes we have been disappointed with the type of service we receive though. Several times they have run out of different parts of the chicken, which when we order from a restaurant that specializes in chicken, I really think shouldn’t happen, especially when they run out of things like the chicken breast. We will keep ordering from here occasionally because when my grandma visits, she enjoys ordering from here.
