Oregon Arms & Ammunition

I’m new to the state and happened to have found this shop while driving around when I was house hunting about two months ago. After moving, I discovered it was the closest gun store around. These guys are great. Excellent AR selection for sure… EDC selection is great too. If you’re looking for a variety of sigs or HK’s this isn’t the place however with most dealers they can order you pretty much whatever you want. As to the issue of private party transfers it’s my understanding that they are in the process of getting that going so give ‘em a break. It’s not their fault, you can blame uncle sam for that one. O and did I mention suppressors? They’ve got ‘em!

Oregon Arms and Ammunition are always great to work with. I’ve done a ton of business with these guys over the years. I will continue doing business with them. I have been building AR platform rifles for 12 years and I’m still surprised at the things I learn from the Oregon Arms and Ammunition (OAA) gang.
I trust them with all of my builds now. I used to shop at multiple stores and now only shop with OAA.
To the people upset about them not doing private party sales… remember that these guys are local and don’t want to hang their business on your personal transaction. If I owned a local gun shop, I wouldn’t do it either. Don’t take it personally. The biggest reason I come to these guys is because they are in the business of honesty. I like that OAA will always tell me they don’t do something due to risk or laws and if I ask why not, they tell me.
Do yourself a favor if you’re shopping AR stuff. Stop in and chat with these guys. They have a low pressure atmosphere rather than a high pressure to buy sales environment… this is a great place! I’m very pleased with them.

Been doing business with these guys for a couple of years, always seemed disinterested, however with the new gun laws that have come in they were refusing to do private transfers (Edit– this Policy has now changed therefore review is updated — they are now doing Private to Private transfers, so review has been updated to reflect this. My original information was from a conversation had on the 15^th)

I stopped in yesterday to take a look at a new subcompact handgun. I had been really eyeballing the new Springfield XD Mod.2 and the S&W M&P Compact. Since they had advertised the Mod.2 at a great price I decided to stop in. The salesman Devon was a huge help. He pulled out the Mod.2, S&W M&P Compact, and a S&W M&P Shield for me to compare. He answered my questions and was very helpful even after I told him I wasn’t there to buy one that day. So I did some looking around last night and couldn’t find a cheaper price on the Mod.2 so went in today and bought one. Thanks to Devon for being such a huge help. Oh and they’ve expanded the showroom since my last review. It’s set up much better and they have a great pistol and AR selection. It would be nice to see more revolvers and target .22’s. Their ammo prices are very good too.

I went in for the first time today and received terrible service. I got the feeling from the person helping us that it was somehow inconvenient that I was asking questions about the guns and asking to see them. He even said «I guess» when I asked to look at a particular gun. I am not going back.

Customer service was excellent; the father and son here know what real customer service is and what its all about. They had a great selection and awesome prices. Highly recommended!

First time in today. Met the owners, a very personable father and son team that understand what customer service is all about. They made my wife and I both feel very welcome. Reasonable prices, and decent selection considering how long they have been open. I look forward to watching them grow.
