I was pouring a 10′ x 12′ pad for a garden shed. After looking at the prices on Quikrete and determining how many trips I would need to take to pickup 70 @ 80# bags + self mixing + hauling + cleanup, etc, I decided to look around at my other options. The big concrete company in Portland with the big yellow trucks does not deliver less than 5 yards(I need about 1.5), but they did tell me to search for«small load concrete». Came across Miller’s Mini Mix and a couple of other places, called around and was most impressed with the professionalism of the folks I spoke with at Miller. I coordinated for a Friday afternoon delivery and the truck was right on time. The driver was courteous, polite and was able to back his truck within a few feet of the pad from and we off loaded the concrete within a short amount of time. Since this was my first rodeo, the driver also provided some helpful tips and showed me how to work with the concrete. I fantastic company that I will recommend to anyone needing fewer that 5 yards of concrete. They will definitely be my first call when I have the need in the future. Also, the cost was less than it would have been for just the bags of Quikrete.
