This is a wonderful, old-fashioned toy store. Kids love browsing and playing with the trains. Not overwhelmingly big, but a good selection. They will keep a gift registry for birthdays, Christmas, etc. Very convenient if grandmas, grandpas, cousins, aunts and uncle want to know what to get Little Billy for a present without making duplications. Their gift wrapping station is terrific — really great if you are running late for a party. Very friendly staff.

An amazing, locally owned toy store. Owner said they’ve been around 20 years. Huge selection of very high-quality, thoughtfully-chosen toys. Great floor displays for letting kids play hands-on. Found an adorable Vermont maple alphabet/name train set for my son, and am thinking of going back to get it for a friend’s son too. Employees are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I’ll be a repeat customer.

I like this toy store a lot more than others. It’s old and creaky, but I find the selection of toys to be FAR larger than other toy stores I’ve been to. They don’t have giant sections of one brand like most places, instead they seem to have the most obscure and nostalgic items ever. I remember owning tons of items myself when I was a child. Lots of different items for different ages, and I love the selection of realistic figures– hard to come by such a good range. Great area of books. Also really pleased with the gift wrapping station. Most people would like their gifts wrapped for them, but I find that to be a tad impersonal and I’m also a perfectionist. Wrapping it myself with quite a few choices just makes more sense to me. And they have great quality of wrapping supplies, not the cheap stuff that will break the moment you put it in your carry bag. Also, prices are not ridiculous. I actually found good education toys for a decent price, and lots of them!

This is by far my all time favorite store! The staff are always so friendly, helpful and genuinely happy to see everyone who walks in the store. They always greet us by name :) My kids ask to go there all the time too. I love that kids can touch, experiment, play, explore with toys before purchasing and they can be loud and run around without worry. Let’s Play has the best selection of quality creative play toys. You won’t find mass produced plastic junk or toys plastered with movie characters here but instead beautiful toys that last and will get years of use out of. This is always my go to toy store anytime I need a gift for a birthday party, Christmas, or just for a fun surprise for my own kids. You will not be disappointed, please go support this amazing small local business :)

I first visited Let’s Play within a month of them opening, and was afraid they wouldn’t be able to stay open in this sleepy corner of the metro area. I was very glad to have been proven wrong. My family shops here for birthdays, Christmas, party favors, and more. It is a real, honest to goodness toy store. The selection is great and well made. As a mom who prefers educational toys over flashy plastic, I am so glad to have the store in my neighborhood.

Called ahead looking for tiny plastic parrot toys and they patiently waited while I described in detail what I was looking for. They had just what I was needed and kept them behind the counter for me until I was ready to pick them up. Very cute place, friendly cashier, great customer service.

So sad to see that even this cute little store must bow to the all mighty outsourced toy market and stock it’s shelves with mostly made in Crummy, Communist, China crap! In their defense, it is becoming harder and harder every day to find anything not made in China. How sad. But with prices as high as they are in this store and knowing where all the garbage is coming from(I say garbage because even Melissa and Doug products have taken a nose dive in quality since being produced in China) I have to drop this place down a notch. Maybe if they seek to keep more quality toys, made anywhere but China on their shelves I will return that 5th star to them and more of my money. I still love this shop, just disappointed with what they are stocking their shelves with.

This place is really cute! I liked that they had a different selection of things than what you can normally find in Fred Meyer /Target /Wal Mart, and it was really convenient to be able to wrap presents for free in the back corner of the store. I’d recommend checking this place out, especially if you’re already walking around downtown Hillsboro.

I have to say that since moving to Oregon, we are enjoying all of the local businesses to explore. I have been browsing the local toys stores where you can find so much more than a big chain. Seeing more educational, wooden, classic, recycled, and creative toys is so refreshing. My son has certainly enjoyed some of these. It’s in downtown Hillsboro, which we still need to explore, and we had such a nice time visiting. The power was out when we did, but that didn’t stop my son from playing on the train table. For birthdays, holidays, or any other reason, I’d recommend stopping by. They have paper if you want to wrap the item yourself, an Engineer club for people who purchase toy trains, and an email list of upcoming events, etc. A fun place for great gift ideas, or just because!

I like this toy store. It’s cute, it’s friendly, they have gift wrap for free(I love that), and they have some unusual stuff. The best thing I ever bought here was a package of Pirate Bath tub stick ‘ems. Foam bath toys in bright colors with a pirate theme, ship, pirates, swords, etc. oh, and a sea monster! and they came with a handy net bag to hang on the faucet. Those were for our boy twin friend. And they were very reasonable. I also bought Princess bath stick ‘em’s for the girl twin friend, and when my daughter caught a load of both sets, we had to go back and buy them both for her, too. That’s how reasonable they were. They have lasted a long time. Bath season is nearly over though, she’s ten and kinda too cool for that, but they have a nice selection of stuff for older kids too. I like this toy store, I hope it stays around a long time Piccolo Mondo is still my favorite on this side of town, because it’s a block from my house, but this one is my second favorite.

This is a great little toy store featuring Folkmanis puppets, a great selection of Play Mobile and Brio, Legos, art supplies, and books. The staff know their stock and could probably tell you the last year that Fashion Plates were made. There is a Little Engineers club for the Brio train fans with a regular discount that kicks in after the first $ 100 spent. Good news is all purchases for the child by parents, grandparents, friends, etc count toward the $ 100. Pieces bought are tracked so they can suggest gifts that will go with what the child has and prevent duplication. They also have a wrapping station so gifts can be wrapped for free before leaving the store. They stock many colors of ribbon and beautiful wrapping paper. This is a regular weekly stop on our Saturday Market circuit. If you happen to be there on the hour, stand near the Brio section so you can see the train clock strike the hour. Look for them on Facebook to get notified of sales and events.

Super cute toy store on Main Street. They had all these little toys(similar to Legos) in the front display window. The display was really impressive with all the toys having their own 4th of July parade similar to what happened in downtown Hillsboro this weekend. Good variety of toys if you are in the area. Nice shop!
