Meat is very slim and the bread is thick and tough. Although the value is good and the offerings are unique, better options are found elsewhere. Good to see chains like this enter Portland. Best bahn mi still has to be found in Eden Center Falls Church, VA.

This Lee’s Sandwich shop has a lot of food selection at such a small shop. They have a variety of warm food items including pork bao, beignets, egg rolls, fried bananas, and of course vietnamese sandwiches for a good value(less than $ 5 each). Their drink selection includes smoothies and their vietnamese coffee is super strong and so good here. You can purchase a bottle that you can pour over ice 3x for only $ 5. Get your boba drink made by Scott. He will make it very yummy for you!

When we walked in it smelled like something was turning sour like an old sponge. We ordered a bubble tea smoothie and the boba was crunchy like it was old/dried out. Every table was dirty. I would not ever go back. Sorry. The one on 82nd is better.

Fantastic sandwiches. Even better bread. Been all over for sandwiches, and these are among the best.

Oh dear… Maybe they’re missing the mark today. I came in for wings and a Boba drink. 1) one of my wings was ice cold. Pinkish on the inside. 2) Boba with Thai ice tea was way too sweet with a truck load of ice in there… I don’t know guys, you’re showing your inconsistency and that is NOT good!!!

I drove there excited to have a California staple only to find out their Unilocal information is incorrect. They do not accept card. They might want to change the information on the Unilocal or put a sign out front before walking in. I guess I’ll have to stick to Best Baguette until they’re ready to accept cards. Bummer. Note: Daniel N. called this review stupid due to the fact that they now accept card. Please note that I went to this establishment 30 days ago(12÷19÷15) and Daniel N. went 6 days ago(1÷12÷16). I’m glad they have finally fixed their card system. At the time they did not take any card. Not just AMEX, no card whatsoever. So at the time, this review was based on truth, Daniel. As stated above, I would not be back until it was confirmed that they are able to accept card. Thank you for confirming that. Maybe read the reviews and their date/time stamp a little closer before trying to come across as the Unilocal Comment police. Good day, Sir. Good. Day. I will try this location again in the future and update this review once again.

Before they’ve open, I was waiting to try their sandwiches and smoothie aka Boba tea. I got to say I’m very impress by the taste and quality of everything. I’m Asian and boba and vietnamese sandwiches are one of my faves and having a vietnamese sandwich stores near me is very exciting. I got to say their stuff sure takes me back to being in California with all those enthic traditional foods. If your in the location please give them a visit! It’s a must!

Why is everyone’s expectations so high for this deli? This Lee’s sandwiches store is actually better than the one on 82nd Portland though they have the same owners. By saying better, I mean the food was great, the services were even better when I was there. Cons: they didn’t toast the bread hot enough to make it crunchy. The pork skin(#8) wasn’t too good for a try. Pros: cheap prices for snacks and food. Their deep fried banana was great. Also, the service was friendly and I felt welcome here. Note: I read the 1 star review about not accepting cards which was kinda stupid. I gave them the American Express which many stores do not accept so I gave them another Visa card and it worked perfectly. Being a Unilocaler means you need to be responsible for your own reviews, food is exceptional because everyone has different tastes but everything else should be written based on the truth. Lastly, they take card.

Whooaaaaaa, I don’t know why their ratings are bad. I am so in love with this place. My new addiction, they made my #22 turkey sandwich with perfect crisp. And the cheddar cheese is deliciously melted. I got 3 other people to come here too. Give this place at shot, seriously the best. Better than best baguette!

We’ve been to the California locations in the past and it’s been pretty good. Driving around the area the other day we discovered a Lee’s. As we walked in the lady at the register was ringing up a customer so we stood in line for a couple minutes. Shortly after, my husband placed his sandwich order to go with the lady at the register with a deep accent. Moments later the sandwich was done, so we went to grab it and the lady mentioned that it came with free iced coffee. I don’t recall seeing that on the menu but the lady should of at least mentioned it while ringing up the order. Maybe she did and we didn’t hear it due to the loud Christmas music. The sandwich was $ 4.39 w/free coffee which is pretty good in terms of pricing from a customer standpoint. She also mentioned that they have a bigger location on 82nd that opened last October. I immediately went on Unilocal to view the photos and indeed the space is much bigger. While we were there, It happen to be there 2nd day of grand opening. I don’t know if the free coffee is only offered during grand opening or forever. The place was small but there were a few tables. I can see this place getting busy during lunch hour on a weekday and the line of people will probably be outside. We left to eat the sandwich else where. The recipe of the sandwich goods inside is the same but there’s one issue with the bread. It’s way too hard. My husband took a bite and the bread was so hard it scraped the top of his mouth. It actually happen to me as well. These weren’t big bites just the normal ones. The sandwich would be more enjoyable if the bread wasn’t so hard. Either the bread was sitting out too long, stale bread or was in the oven too long. I didn’t try the iced coffee but my husband mentioned that it was really strong. He let it sit in the ice for a good hour before drinking it. Whatever the reason was for the bread, I’m only giving 3 stars. The sandwich was the satisfying. Overall, they should consider turning down the music and correcting bread issue. However, if that’s how the bread is(hard) going back would be really rare at least for me. The service is okay but nothing special especially coming from a sandwich shop. The sandwich shop is located in a shopping area on 185th. It’s in the same parking lot as Dollar Tree, Grocery Outlet, Happy Panda and many more businesses. Should anyone decide to try, be aware of what I mentioned above.

Just got back from ordering amid their grand opening celebration which included either a free baguette or coffee with order. I got the coffee which came iced and is very good for the style. I ordered the meatball sandwich on 10inch baguette. The bread is fantastic and the filling is fresh, spicy and delicious. The meatballs are very flavorful and have a great texture. The prices are OK, pretty normal for sandwiches, so I’ll definitely be coming back.
