Had the cheese enchilada dinner which was pretty good and the rice was very good. Not impressed with the salsa but looking forward to, coming again next week to try the spinach enchiladas with poblano sauce… sound interesting & delicious! And my waitress, Tina, was awesome too!!!

Maybe the worst greeting of any place I have ever been. I walked in — saw nobody… stood there… stood there… then a guy walked up and I asked if they had a bar. He pointed to the back of the place and off I went. When I finally found what they call a bar, I sat down and waited… And waited… and waited. When I decided it probably wasn’t the best place, I got up to leave and was asked by the cashier if I had been helped… I think she thought I was walking a tab.

We ate here a couple of nights ago and we really enjoyed it! I loved the queso and our food was good too. Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean :)

We just ate there. The only reason it’s getting one star is thanks to the nice waitress. It’s possibly the worst«Mexican Food» I’ve ever had. The carne asada was pink when we asked well done… the rice tasted like it had been defrosted and thrown into the microwave, beans no taste, cheese was dull and flavorless… the only good thing was the chips. Also the owner-manager idk who he was but the whole time didn’t even bother to look at us and say thank you. NEVERGOINGBACK. Hillsboro, Tx

We booked the banquet room for a meeting of around 20 plus friends and we were not disappointed. Our servers took excellent care of us and all of our group’s entrees were good, there were no complaints. I really liked their salsa and chips. Next time i’m in Hillsboro, my wife and i’ll stop in for dinner in a less formal atmosphere.

I have dined here for many years and have never had a meal I didn’t enjoy. I love the hot sauce and chips and my favorite meal is the Thursday Special — a Giant Taco Rico, tostada, and rice. Also, ask about Dooley’s Queso! I crave that stuff!

Awesome food. In all my travels all over the country, they have some of the best fajitas. I’ve had their margaritas and they are good. I don’t have them often as margaritas just aren’t my thing. Prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable.

There are two dining rooms and every time we go they are always clean. The staff is always prompt and friendly. Restrooms are very clean. I have tried various items on the menu and out of the many years we have been coming here I have only had one complaint. The salsa is always good. Our meals are always more than we can eat. Good for us we can take it home and have it the next day. It is hard to pinpoint just any one meal as we have had so many from the menu. You just can’t go wrong with anything you pick. The margaritas on the rocks are wonderful. As you checkout there is always a basket of pralines. Get you one. They are very good.

Best Mexican food in town. Try the beef fajita quesadillas or nachos!

It’s an abomination of Mexican culture in my opinion. Lol. I hear their margaritas are good though but I drink scotch and they don’t have a full bar.

First, google map shows incorrect location due to wrong address in Unilocal.Find the actual location by doing map search on name. The setting is comfortable and typical Mexican restaurant. Service is friendly and quick. Food is an average Tex-Mex selection. Nothing special or creative. Step above Taco Bell, but not much more than that.

Expensive for what you get…$ 7 for a small taco, a little beans and rice? $ 3.85 for a taco al a carte? No… not worth it. The prices just go up from there. Salsa is good though.

My wife and I eat here regularly. The staff is always friendly, often overworked as the place is usually filled with people. I love the salsa, some of the best I have tasted. The food is always good, never greasy, and made fresh. If you want to substitute this or that, they are always eager to please without a charge. I have been there often enough to recommend this restaurant. I have never found anything to complain about other than sometimes having to ask the server for more chips or salsa when they are very busy.

When driving to Austin from Dallas, I was worried that I couldn’t find a good eating place, but lo and behold, my girlfriend wisely chose this place amidst a sea of corporate chains and we were definitely pleased. They had a reasonable dinner special of two enchiladas with chile con carne and rice and beans for 5.99. Can’t beat that for Hillsboro. Aside from the price, the food was amazing and authentic. The enchilada sauce was spicy and rich with flavor, and the cheese inside the enchiladas reminded me of the best restaurants in San Diego. You won’t be disappointed with this place.
