Battery X-Change

Horrible service !! They replaced my battery. When I started the car afterwards it made an awful sound. The man made me try is several times. He said he thinks my starter is going bad. I explained my car was fine before I came there. I even had it tested at O’Rileys auto and they said only my battery was bad. I told them to put my old battery back in. The man was angry at me and told me it was alot of work. I said I didnt care. Once my old battery was back in it was fine. I demanded a refund and would take it elsewhere. I took it to my mechanic who replaced the battery and the car was fine. My mechanic said they must have had the wrong battery in it. NEVER go to this place. Oviously they dont know what they are doing and are rude !!!

I’ve purchased three batteries so far from Battery Exchange, each for different vehicles (2 motorcycles, 1 ATV). They are knowledgable, helpful and have a huge inventory.

My poor car named «Derek» was having trouble starting and would reset my radio when I actually restarted the ignition for the second time. I knew something was up and my father had suggested that after about 5 – 6 years it would be about the right time to get a new battery.
So I live in Hillsboro not knowing where the nearest battery shop is located, but I knew there was a bunch of car specialty areas around downtown Hillsboro, after driving around, I found Battery Exchange on the corner of Baseline and 3^rd! And what do they specialize in? Batteries for cars and any automotive vehicle! Just what I needed!!!
What was nice about this place is that they check your battery if it still has any «juice» in it for free! So they tested my battery and it turned out that it didn’t have any juice in it at all. They also tested to see if was anything related to the alternator, and it was a good thing nothing was wrong with that also. So they check to see if they have my battery available and YES they do! The battery had a warranty which was also great. I purchased the battery and they had free installation (Plus in my book!). They also discard your old battery away for you! After waiting for a good 15 – 20 minutes, Derek was all brand new and was able to start like a new car!
Overall, 5 stars for free battery checks, free battery installation, great service and in the neighborhood! Highly recommend this place for your car battery needs!
