Prices are high. To be expected from a small store who can’t be expected to compete with the big chain stores in that regard. But c’mon, you’d think they’d make up for that with customer service or knowledgeable staff. But no. Sadly, I’ll only be going there now for emergency purchases of small items. They were supposed to open at noon today. I got there at 1:15, and they were closed. Not a good way to present yourself.

They are lot more expensive than other music stores. Plus they have no customer service concept… one person says they will replace the Guitar string for free and when I actually take it to replace it another day, another person(who claims she is the manager) says it will cost me $ 3.25(labor cost! — g’me me a break) +$ 1 for cost of string. I explain what I talked to previous person in their store 3 days ago(who is not in store at that time) and clearly told me no cost for changing it in store .Then the«so called manager» she seemed had no interest to honor what was agreed with me earlier(no charge to replace the string in store). So I decide to walk out and never give them any business ever again. So next I call and I go to Russo Music to get the whole thing replaced for $ 0.63.(and they did it so nicely, all folks their were very friendly. NOTE: they did not charged me for replacing the string in store as agreed on the phone). Russo Music folks pls note you are getting my business going forward! PS: I was planning to send two of my kids for music lessons at Farrington but this bad experience made me cancel that idea. So in the process this place lost my $ 200/month business for next few years as a result . So moral of the story… think twice before buying anything from Farrington and always check price in another store to compare.
