Rite Aid

This place is close to campus to pick up something for a project last minute. Also it sells alcohol, which in my home town does not. So that’s the best perk!
The place is clean, staff was cheerful, and assisted in anyway that they could.
Will definitely be stopping by for some wine.

Just wanted to write a quick review with SINCERE THANKS for the cashier & store manager who found & held my Samsung Tablet for me. This was very honest & I really appreciate their concern for my important tablet which i often use. Many people in other places woukd have «pocketed» this device, but not here. In addition, this store is clean, well organized & has a liquor license which is a plus. Thanks again!

They finally spruced up the interior but for some reason seems to have left the staff as is. Don’t expect competence but it always makes for good people watching…

Full on liquor store as well as a friendly neighborhood rite aid! Why wouldn’t it be 5 stars! The selection isn’t bad for last minute anyway!

This Rite Aid is set up in a confusing way. Half the store has aisles going one way, and the other half they are going the other (perpendicular). The left half is mostly groceries, and about four aisles of alcohol (!), but there’s other things there, too, such as greeting cards. Headphones. Gifts and seasonal items. Other stuff. On the right side is the rest of the store.
Because of its strange layout, I always need to ask for what I’m looking for. The natural person to ask is the cashier in the front, because they are right next to the door and there isn’t anyone else in sight when you walk in. But they never want to help and are so slow, you’re better off walking into the store and hoping to run into someone. The cashier makes like they have to go show you where it is, and tells you to wait there while they finish with this checkout, or wastes time beckoning someone to come over. But really they could just point you in the right direction and say the aisle number. I don’t think every cashier is like this, I kind of size them up and take a guess.
They don’t have enough notebook options and their paper is too expensive. Also their sales are sometimes confusing and the tags are put in the wrong place.

Plusses: They have a large parking lot and sell a decent booze selection.
Minuses: The cashiers are extremely rude and prices are high on pharmacy products.
Bottom line is that this is great if you’re in the area, and desperately need something. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

half the store is booze!!! they have a quite good selection of imported wines and of liquor, including Moldovan and Georgian wine, Latvian Rīgas Black balzams liquor, all sorts of things to discover… the rest of the store is pretty nice too, a decent sized Rite Aid with all kinds of random items you might need. I love the little chocolate covered cherries on display at the register, I buy one every time I stop by.

I was always so jealous of my NY buddies who can go into most drugstores and buy a six pack, because over here in Jerz, we have to go to the liquor store and it must be before 10 o’clock. This Rite Aid still shuts it down at 22:00 hrs, but it’s a full liquor store too! Amazing.
They have a sick selection of booze and U.S. and imported wine. Everything else is. Rite Aid. I did notice there was a bunch of deals to cash in on with your Wellness+ card, so many that I decided to get one myself. And I hate signing up for crap.
Its such a novelty that this Rite Aid liquor store is available, I’ll probably end up coming here each time I need some pinot grigio, trash bags and mascara.

Tom, the wine and liquor manager is a national treasure. He knows everything from the most precious cordials to the cheapest plonk and is always willing to share his wisdom or order that exotic apéritif you read about in the NYT food section.

Eh this Rite Aid is okay.
A +1 for them because they sell alcohol, a lot of different beers, wines, hard liquor and a huge parking lot! I definitely go here first before most liquor stores.
Never enough registers open.
The pharmacy staff is hit or miss. Some are really nice and some are so completely rude I don’t know how they work somewhere that they have to deal with people. I understand that some people are hard to deal with but when I’m friendly and nice to them, I wish I’d get the same in return.

This Ride Aid is the mecca of wasteful shopping in Highland Park, and I absolutely love it. It’s got everything under the sun, including the best liquor selection in town, some 14 aisles of cosmetics, and a newly added giant parking lot out back.
Go ahead and get creative with your shopping — I’m sure they carry it.

Typical Drugstore. They have liquor and beer. Not a knock on them, but they are one of the only places in Highland Park to get alcohol, and one of the few places around to get kosher wine.
My only knock is that there is never enough registers open when I am there.
