El Truco Barber Shop

I used to go here all the time when I was local and now I still travel the extra distance to come back. My barber is Vlady and he’s awesome. Always takes extra care of the job he does and doesn’t complain if you have any comments or suggestions. Beyond that, the vibe is awesome. There’s always a great conversation going on while listening to music or watching a great movie on TV.

My go to spot for haircuts. Recently moved to a new location down the street that has a lot more space.
Dominican music on the speakers, movies playing in the background and always some interesting conversation ranging from world politics to the latest trends in sneakers. It’s not a full on party like some of the other shops in the bronx/​washington heights, but that’s why I go here… good atmosphere but not too crazy.
Vlady is the one I go to, always professional and makes sure to take his time with you. You can get a simple haircut or also include a classic shave. Prices are very reasonable, never spent more than $ 20 here.
I haven’t had issues finding parking, but it is street parking in nyc, so always depends on the time of the day.
