We just left and very disappointed. $ 52 for a family of 4 and the food was NOT good! Pulled BBQ chicken tasted like it had been in a Buffett bin for awhile and saturated with sub par BBQ sauce. Mashed potatoes tasted like box mashed potatoes. Chili cheese fries had a puddle of chili juice on the bottom of the plate so they were soggy. Sarachi boneless wings tasted like chicken nuggets from McDonalds. Don’t waste your money.

Great food! Staff is excellent. Always happy to see a local co make it. Good value. Love, Love, Love — When they have Cajun weekend. Owners are hands on for any concerns and always walking around to visit.

Certainly my last choice if I want good bbq. The burgers are bland and unseasoned. The coleslaw tasted like pure mayo. The fries are always cold and undercooked. We have tried it a few times since they are so close to our house and the ribs are better anywhere else. We are waiting excitedly for Sugarfire to open nearby so we can enjoy some real bbq.

This is our third visit since their move and is one of our favorite places. The service is great with a casual atmosphere. The menu is varied and we enjoyed the 32-oz pork steak and the sliced BBQ beef. The pork steak is thick cut and not fatty with a nice crunchy outer layer while being very moist. Two good sides of not-so sweet baked beans and nicely fried okra. This dinner makes very nice leftovers for a lunch or two, for only $ 11. The sliced beef was favorable with nice portion and good sides of cole slaw and potato salad. The cole slaw is not creamy which we prefer. They recently changed their potato salad recipe and it is now outstanding. Next time we are looking forward to having their Brother-in-law and Drunken Uncle sandwiches.

Never been here before. The place was crowded on a Friday evening but they got us in and seated pretty quickly. Service was very good. Plenty of waiters/waitresses for a crowded night and our waiter in particular was very attentive. I had the beef brisket. The brisket was good and very tender. The BBQ sauce was very runny and flavorless. The cole slaw is very good. Good flavor and the cabbage was crisp. I’ve had much better BBQ, but I’d probably come back once in awhile.

Thanks so much for changing the preparation of chicken breasts! Got my fav sandwich and the chicken wasn’t dry… good to know you care about us!

Unfortunately the food here was as bad or worse than old bowling alley food. I second others in that it almost seemed microwaved except for the stuff that you would expect to be fried that was overly oily. The bbq lacked flavor, the French dip was tough and seemed like frozen/microwaved meat and everything that hit the fryer was drowning in grease. if we ever come back, we’ll stick only to the cold cut type stuff that is supposed to be boar’s head though I would be concerned it will be pre-cut and thus not as good and fresh. We were extremely disappointed.

Great place! Good for everyone ! Good food, good service, and very reasonably priced! They have a take out side and an eat in side! Very relaxed atmosphere. The waitresses are knowledgeable about the menu and the hard part is trying to pick just one meal! Everything sounds so yummy, but I suggest the brisket or if you are starving and need lots of protein go for the 32oz. Pork steak !! The whole family will enjoy this family friendly bbq restaurant(unless you don’t like bbq).

Went here because I like the meat shop and figured it would be good. I was wrong. The BBQ pork was brutal. It was basically Lloyd’s BBQ on the plastic tub. It was just drenched in sauce. I think it was just boiling in it and they scoop it on the plate. The sauce wasn’t even that good. Most decent BBQ joints will give you the meat with a few selections of sauce on the side. I couldn’t finish it. I may try agIn to see if this was an anomaly, since I went a few weeks after they opened, but I expect it to be the same

We would go to the old restaurant that was attached to their meat shop. Loved the food! However we’ve attempted the new place twice and have been disappointed with the food. It was clearly frozen and popped in the microwave. The burger was awful and fries just as bad. The second time I had pork steak and Mac and cheese. Not the pork steak I remember at their old place. We probably won’t be back.

I left this place fed, full and very disappointed. They are only about a month old but given the history of their parent business they just don’t get a lot of slack… especially considering that my disappointment had nothing to do with the new restaurant hiccups most places have. Nope, my objection to this place is fundamental in nature — they claim to be a bbq place and their bbq wasn’t good. Not at all. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it came with two sides. I chose their cole slaw(nothing special) and their fried okra(clearly brought in frozen and fried there) as my sides. The waitress brought me a yeast roll with a little tub of honey-flavored fake butter. I like that places offer a bread service. She was competent but did drop the check without offering me one of their house-made brownies. About the pulled pork: I consider St. Louis to be a town that takes its’ bbq pretty seriously. It is one of the things that I love about living here. I am racking my brain to come up with another place in the area where I have been served bbq as mediocre as this place and drawing a blank. I am also at a loss to name another place in the area where they drench their bbq in sauce and serve a sloppy mess like what I was given here. It so closely resembled school cafeteria bbq that I had to ask the waitress if they actually made it in house. She assured me that they did. No smokiness. No evidence of bark on the meat. No flavor that suggested the meat was rubbed with seasoning before cooking. Very uniformly sized pieces(seemed questionable for house-made). Dramatically over-sauced. Sad. As a side note… they don’t seem to know what to call themselves. Check out my pictures and you’ll see that the name that appears on the menu is different than what is on their signage.
