If you’re from, or have been in California, you know the best donuts in the world are made there, usually by Asians in almost every small mall. Donut world comes close, but is still affected by the bland, gummy undercooked preference of Easterners who favor Krispy Crème. Whoever thought a fritter should be creamy white? Yuk…

By FAR the best donuts in the Triad. None others compare to taste, variety, price and flair, not Donut Box and certainly not Krispy Kreme. Their Bear Claws and apple fritters are to die for and stay fresh for days. Their basic cake donuts are moist and delicious as are their chocolate cakes. Service is great, price is right and the donuts are made with tons of love. Lastly, unlike some other gourmet donut shops in Greensboro that simply varies toppings, Donut World’s selection is rich and varied. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

Oh, how I love thee donut world, let me count the ways… 1. Your apple fritters are amazing. Seriously the best thing in the shop. 2. the maple coating on the«old fashioned» donut 3. the chocolate covered, bavarian crème filled. 4. the donut holes… This was worth the drive when I had to go all the way to Greensboro, now its a no brainer now that your in my neighborhood. My Dietician may hate you, but I love you.

My donut shop of choice now! We saw this place on our way to Krispy Kreme and decided to try it. I just ate my first one, a Maple Cruller. I don’t usually like crullers much, but I was trying to round out a ½ dozen. I think this was the best donut I’ve ever eaten. Nibbled on an old fashioned and a chocolate chip covered traditional and they were both delicious as well! I think all donuts are 85 cents, not sure about the other items. That is probably in line with what the chains charge, but the donuts are larger and better, so that makes them a better value.

New Store on North Main! Now they have two locations in High Point and two in Greensboro! The Service was great and the prices should make most of the Big chains take notice! The prices get five stars for value! Overall I am rating this experience with four Unilocal stars, though I was expecting to be blown away by the flavor and some of my choices were disappointing! Each Item is rated individually in fractional Unilocal stars: Fritter! The most Unique Fritter I have eaten! Good Flavor though it seemed dry… 3.65 Unilocal stars. Glazed«Plain» Donut… good, though disappointing flavor. I expected more! 3.22 Unilocal stars! I will check this one out again… I have a feeling if we had arrived as they were Hot I would have been impressed, so for now… NO! Bear Claw, with Apple Filling — This was Unique and was good, 4.25 stars Glazed Donut topped with Maple Icing 4.25 stars Lemon Filled Donut had a nice and unique flavor 3.85 stars Cinnamon Roll another very unique one and this may be the best Cinnamon roll I have eaten, though it is not what most Americans are going to be used to(I’m guessing)! This one was lighter than any I have had, lighter pastry and a thin layer of icing, never what I would expect… Since I do not care for the typical«Cinnamon Roll» this one was a refreshing take. Vanilla Cream Filled Donut with Chocolate Icing on top — The Donut was good, the Chocolate icing topping was good, though the Cream filling was Not rich, not flavorful! Great Service! The lady working here was very helpful and sweet! I’ll guess the owners are Korean, so if I’m wrong some one can let me know and I’ll erase this part of the review!
