My husband and I were moving across North Carolina and TN so had a long drive to make and decided to book a night here the night before to split up the drive. Our mistake for booking the wrong night, but it took DAYS to get the manager to call us back so we could speak with him about giving a refund. even a partial refund. When we finally got a hold of him, he said that they were full that night so they can’t give us a refund. As a big business that could EASILY makeup the funds for our one-​night reservation, I am very disappointed in that the manager wouldn’t work with us at all to try to help us out as I guarantee we are loosing more than they would if they granted the refund. We will not be staying here again and will make sure our friends and family do not either. Another reason why I stay with Holiday Inn Express. They actually know and CARE about customer service. Also, the Quality Inn military discount was pathetic.

Spent one night at this hotel in Hickory and I was very pleased with my stay. We arrived early and were able to get into a room before regular check-​in. We were also upgraded to a whirlpool room (which we didn’t have time to take advantage of.) The lobby was nicely set up and check-​in was simple. We were given a map with directions to the workout room and shown where breakfast was in the morning, although we weren’t able to participate in either. The room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for one night. Of course there was some wear and tear but nothing worth mentioning. We were happy to have a fridge and were surprised how comfortable our bed was. I would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting the Hickory, NC area.
