Olde Tavern

Its Bar Food, but its good bar food.
I met a client here for lunch. We had a great meal in a dark but inviting environment. This is definitely a bar, so at dinner and beyond I imagine it’s louder and less appealing for business meal.
I got a club sandwich and the fried mashed potatoes. Both were very good. I can’t remember what my client had, but he enjoyed it.

We went as a group to watch the band. We had a young waitress (she is new and I can’t remember her name. maybe Courtney) and she was doing a great job keeping up with our group. The young manager (believe her name is Brittany) was blatantly picking on her and another waitress (just being rude for no reason). She told our waitress to sweep under our table while we were still there. She was obviously not manager material. Anyway, the band was supposed to play until 1 — we came out almost an hour away just to see them. They stopped at 12 due to a management asking them to stop early. My friend asked the manager why & she was very confrontational (smirking and rolling her eyes) and the bartender made the comment «IS SHE GOING TO PAY THEM TO PLAY LONGER?». Obviously customer service isn’t her strong point. My friend left because she was irritated and her boyfriend was inside about to pay the bill — the manager and bartender chased her outside as was paying because they thought she was running on her tab. I then proceeded to let the manager know how I felt about the experience and she told me it was «none of my business» how she treats her employees. We spent over $ 300 in there and we won’t be back. It was a terrible experience. Let me be clear — I was driving and very sober so I was well aware of their behavior.

Had a really nice time at The Old Tavern. The staff was courteous and attentive and the food was very good. The Fries Pickle Appetizer was the fan favorite. A place to make time for soon.
