I went in for new golf clubs. Now overall, Dicks is a little over priced compared to other sporting goods stores and online retailers. But, most people already know that so if you are going to Dicks, it’s for reasons other than absolute lowest price. If the price was a little better throughout the store I would go 5 stars. Apparel is definitely cheaper online. Golf club prices were comparable, though some sets were cheaper online. But you can’t try out golf equipment online and I really wanted to try out a few clubs before dropping several hundred bucks. They have a swing analyzer and indoor cage to try out clubs and a small putting area too. I tried out a few clubs and then decided to go ahead with the fitting. The golf pro was Chuck and he was helpful. The charge for fitting was $ 50, but if you purchase clubs, they waive the fitting charge. I spent about an hour or so and ended up purchasing a set of Ping irons. Chuck did a special order for me and also set up a rewards card that I am supposed to get double points for(about $ 50 worth). Also got 10% off for getting a Dicks credit card. I’m not a fan of dept store credit cards(I’m sure the interest is ridiculous) but to save $ 80 I’ll go for it, pay it off on the first bill and never use the card — maybe even cancel the credit line. All the employees who I came across, spoke and asked if I needed help, but didn’t harass, which is exactly how it should be. Definitely give 5 stars to the golf pro(Chuck) for spending an hour+ with my fitting and order. I’ll definitely be back based on todays visit.

It’s a smaller store than a metro market area. Their pricing is high, and they do not have as great of clearance racks(as the metro area locations do). Also, it seems that Dick’s must no longer carry Reebok shoes, but they do carry the Reebok clothing line. This location also only carries rifles, no handguns(not sure how that compares to other locations.)
